The camera fades in, and on the screen was Holiday Havoc, specifically the match for the GCW Championship, Joshua Ryan versus his competitor, Vincent Sinclair. In the middle of the ring stood Joshua Ryan, tall and his title raised above his head. On his face is a smile as he shows off his prized possession that he just retained. The cheers and boo's of the fans collided and it was split. Some cheered for their GCW Champion, others that wished for his opponent to come out victorious boo'd at the man, but it didn't matter to Ryan, he was just glad he retained his title after he was certain it'd be a different outcome. Joshua turned to his right and sauntered to the ropes, parading his title. Slowly, he exited the ring and soon stood outside of the ring. Looking at the crowd, he cracked another smile as he shook his head in disbelief of the outcome. He walked up the ramp, his title over his shoulder. Before he went backstage, he turned around and raised the title once more. For several seconds, he just stared at the crowd before returning to the backstage. The camera switched from the one broadcasting the event to Joshua's personal camera. It followed Joshua through the halls backstage until Issac Chaney stopped him. Chaney: Hello Mr. Ryan, I was wondering if I could get a few words with you? Joshua: Like, right now? Chaney: Uh... Yes, if that is possible. Joshua: Oh... Uhh... Sure! Chaney: Okay awesome! Hold on a second, let me just get the camera rolling. After a few seconds of fidgeting with the camera, it finally began to roll. Issac backed up and stood alongside the GCW Champion, with his microphone held up to his mouth. Chaney: Hello GCW Universe, I am Issac Chaney and I am here with GCW Champion, Joshua Ryan. Joshua, you just retained the GCW Championship for the first time, what do you have to say to those that think you didn't truly deserve this title? Joshua: Great question, well, after tonight I have proven that I am not the kind of person to be handed a title and not prove that he or she does not deserve it and lose it their first time getting challenged for it. I went out there with the mindset that I was going to win, and well, I beat Vincent Sinclair so what is there more to really say. I one-hundred percent deserve this title. Chaney: For that great question came a great answer, alright, how about the fact that now that you have defeated Vincent Sinclair, do you believe his brother, Nikolai Sinclair, or even his manager, Richard Rutherford, will come after you? As we both know, Nikolai is the GCW Legacy Champion, the title you held before your current title, and Richard Rutherford is a legend in the managing business. Joshua: Nikolai Sinclair is a toy compared to me. He has nothing to be proud of as he didn't do anything except throw people off ropes to get that title that I made what it is. Not Kevin Smith and not that Love dude, I made the Legacy Title the top title when I held it. If Nikolai were to quit GCW, all it would do would most likely boost our ratings. No one likes Nikolai, and that goes for both, Vincent Sinclair AND Richard Rutherford. You claim Richard is a "legend" in the managing business when all he's done is leach off other's success. The man doesn't even wrestle, what the fuck do we have use with him for except to just be there as a leach. Chaney: Do you think in the future that maybe Nikolai Sinclair will come for your title? Then not only will he have your title you once held but also the title you currently hold. Doesn't that frighten you the littlest bit? Joshua: Frightened? No. Excited? Yes. Nikolai isn't shit, if anything, Richard Rutherford has made him who he is. While I don't like Mr. Rutherford, he makes his clients popular. Nikolai is nothing without Richard and he's also nothing without that title. If you take Richard Rutherford and the GCW Legacy Title, all you'll have is some kid who's failing at getting big in the company. He, like his brother, is a failure and does not deserve a spot on Lightning, or even on the Global Championship Wrestling roster. No one cares for him as they do me, and that is the truth, Issac. Chaney: Alright, just one more question. There have been rumors that you are going to be starring in the new war movie coming out titled "Heroism," about the men that stormed the beaches of Normandy during D-Day. Is this true? Joshua: You already know that it's true, Issac. I have most likely the most respect for our soldiers of the United States of America in this company, and I was a big fan of studying World War Two when I was younger, so I will be starring as a young man who enlisted into the military and it follows his adventures in the war, mainly focusing on the Normandy beach landings, so yes, those rumors are no longer rumors but instead facts. Comes out June 6th, 2018 which will be the 74th anniversary of D-Day. Chaney: Alright, well thank you for answering our questions, Mr. Ryan. I am Issac Chaney and we are out! Issac walks to the camera and fidgets a little more with the camera, turning it off. As Joshua is about to walk away, Issac stops him. Chaney: Joshua, how about hooking me up with some tickets to that premier, hook a brother up? Joshua: Listen, you ain't my brother and you gonna pay for your tickets like everyone else will and go see it in a regular movie theater. Damn, you wack as fuck. Joshua walks away with a confused look on his face and the camera slowly fades out to blackness as the words, "Welcome To 2018, the Joshua Ryan Era" appear in red on the screen. |
