Oops! That was not medicine...
Almost three months.

Surely this is a sign. Most likely that chaos is a damn liar.

All this time and I'm still scarred from quoting that.

Just skip therapy and go straight to lobotomy then. Ask your local hobo for more information.

I've been trying to figure out the reference in your sig for as long as I've been gone.

I'll give you $100 minus shipping and handling required for overnight delivery along with my idiot tax if you explain it to me.

Well, it's a long, long story.

You might want to get some snacks.

*ahem*

A long time ago (probably in a galaxy far far away) there lived a young girl named Suzumiya Haruhi.

Average girl, lived in Japan, etc. (or other galaxy Japan, whatever...I don't care)

One day, her father took her to baseball game, and she thought nothing of it..........

Until she entered the stadium, and saw the mass of people there.

Haruhi had never seen so many people before, and in a state of shock, she asked how many people were at the game.

Her father replied: 50 thousand.

That was a mere fraction of Japan (space Japan, whatever, get off my frickin back!) as a population, and she was an insignificant piece of the stadium crowd alone.

Haruhi had believed that she was special in the world, that her life held experiences like nowhere else.

Her belief was shattered as she realized such things could be found in countless other people and families and schools around the world.

Life suddenly seemed boring, and this was the beginning of the melancholy.

Haruhi tried to be different, to strive for the extraordinary, but to no avail.

When she entered high school, she found a new inspiration to reach her goal, and thus the SOS Brigade was formed.

It was just a school club, but its focus was to seek out the extraordinary: aliens, espers, and time travelers.

It got few members, but they were loyal to Haruhi and searched for the unexplained.

Haruhi had fun, but she didn't find what she sought.

At least, she didn't know she did.

This is the part of the story that gets very strange, so try to bear with it and have an open mind.

Basically, something unexplainable happened at that ball game when Haruhi became aware of herself.

Without her knowing it, the world started revolving around her.

Why? Nobody knows.

All we know for sure is that she was the cause.

At that point, her will became the governing law of the planet.

She wanted the extraordinary to exist, and so it did.

Namely, in a neat collection known as the SOS Brigade.

Well, except Kyon, he's pretty much useless.

Coincidence became the inevitable, as they were drawn by Haruhi's will to meet them.

Of course, Haruhi was unaware of their identities.

You can't exactly tell someone that their mind controls the whole world.

And so their efforts to twart Haruhi's melancholy began.

Did they suceed?

Well, maybe, it's hard to explain.

Frankly, it could all be a huge conincidence based on speculation.

But at least it was fun, and that's better than boring right?

A detailed account of these events can be viewed in the anime The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi.

Problem is, Haruhi got the episode numbers mixed up in her mind, so they aired out of order.

But I'm sure you can figure out the right way to watch them.

She really is troublesome, y'know?

But hey, maybe it would be more fun to watch them out of order......

Could that have been her plan?!

Damn it, I'm confused again!
