The epic saga that brings everyone together for good times and a kickass experience.

The series is beyond great, and is still has a big future planned.

We have on handhelds: 358/2 days and birth by sleep, plus the inevitable third sequel.

This is a game where anything could happen, and I'll gladly argue to death with any haters out there.

I love it. It is truly one of the greatest game series' of all time. However I will argue that 1 was better simply because they didn't make you re-hash every world once it was completed. Well, not majorly anyway.

I dunno. Both were good. It's a tough call.

I like 2 better, 1. because the whole triangle thing let you do even more and added to awesome feel, and 2. Riku's not being a douche anymore.

People focus too much on either the Disney/FF side and quickly forget who the story's about.

Oh don't get me wrong, the story in 2 was much much better. I just didn't like the gameplay as much.

I agree the story in 2 was much better, so was the combat in fact (no more migraine-inducing camera controls).

What I didn't like about 2 was that the worlds were more linear, it was basically a straight path from beginning to end, and even the treasures were easier to find.

Also, I think the game was too tame in terms of difficulty, even in Proud (I think that was it at least. If I remember correctly, you could choose from two difficulty setting in the beginning and unlocked one after beating the game, and I think Proud was one of the latter). Near the ending it became a good challenge, but in the begginning I found it too easy.

Even in the Olympus tournaments?

^Ah, thanks for reminding me. Some of the extra content was challenging, which made up for the first half of the main story.

I think the first time I got a Game Over on a main-story battle was when I re-visited Beast's Castle and fought the Organization member there (can't remember his name).

This is mostly nit-picking though, it's still one of the best rpgs I've played.

That was Xaldin, probably the toughest member.

I had to use ol' Mickey to stop him.

The last part of the game was pleasantly challenging. The only thing I didn't like was that the boss had like 5 phases, including one where you have to chase him in a jet, wtf? The final phase was kick-ass though.

See, those are the climatic showdowns that people remember.

And hey, they threw in a playable Riku to boot.

A lot of those heartless boss fights could've been in Shadow of the Colossus.

You're right. In fact, the final boss in the Lion King's world (Pride Lands?) looked straight from shadow of colossus.

Anyway, I think the combat system more than made up for anything negative. I found it so fun grinding levels wasn't even so boring as in other games.

Ah, the combat system.

Remember that final boss in Beast's Castle the first time?

Press triangle, and you cut the chandelier, skewer him on it, then spin and drag him around the room.

Heh, boy do I remember. I was getting kinda demoralized at how easy it ahd been so far, but that fight was so amazing it made me open my eyes and realize that the combat system was lots of fun.

Pressing triangle during boss fights almost always resulted in amazing scenes.

And then tag specials.

Tricker was my favorite.

Hey, I first started that game on "Proud" because my friend made me, and just beat it. Blah. Saïx took me less than 5 minutes to beat. The hardest boss for me I would say was the heartless dragon in "The Land of Dragons" or the water guy at Hollow Bastion. What was your hardest boss?

Demyx isn't really hard, that's just what they want you to think, and thus include a time limit.

Beat him before the second one starts, and it's not a big deal.

Hardest = Sephiroth.

if you mean Sephiroth on Proud and using the Kingdom Key, then yes...

Sephiroth = Hardest

Next to him, Xaldin.

You can hardly ever hit the guy.

At least against Xigbar you can warp snipe.
