Long slender bodies rest on six limbs, Four legs and a pair of "Forelimbs", in a "feral" posture. While the legs end in clawed feet, the forelimbs end in clawed hands, adapted to function as either feet or hands. In their natural posture they are between 1'8-2'2 at shoulder height, Further more they have a length between 9'3-12'10 (7'2-8'4 body) on average, a full third of that being their tail. Their scales are large, thick and come in quite a variety of colors, ranging from a rusted red all the way to black. A strange genetic condition however results in a Ra-noth with chromatic scales, having multiple colors in splotches. Upon their back rests a very large pair of wings, with a wingspan between 28'6-33' from tip to tip. The wings themselves are feathered and tend for paler colors, though dark plumage is considered a sign of a strong bloodline. They are very flexible and possess multiple joint locations along the spine, allowing them a rather significant freedom of movement. Their Skeleton is solid bones, instead relying on powerful muscles for flight. Being carnivorous they have a pair of large fangs that hang outside the mouth when closed. Their heads are swept back with the eyes to the side, Feathered quills flow along the back of the head along with a small photosensitive dot on the forehead, results of genetic regression. Rather often genetic mutation surfaces in the form of distorted joints and limbs, this is to such a point that there is an entire sub-breed of ra-noth in existence without wings. Albinism is also slowly growing in number to a rather disturbing degree, enough so that small cultures can be found in larger cities. Finally there is a genetic regression that occasionally appears, causing growth to stunt to the point that they rarely grow larger then an iguana. Common Personality: A rather engineering inclined race, most show proficiency in various industrial fields. They are slow to grant trust and rather cautious around aliens, enough so to be somewhat xenophobic. Strong curiosity is rampant through society with a drive to innovate, however they commonly discard the ideas of safety to accomplish this. Rather often they will take a significant amount of time to finish something in order to perfect it as much as possible. Often however when there is nothing of importance to do they are keen to just laying around. Its also common for warmer areas to end up with the ra-noth passing through as much as possible. -Average Lifespan: 62 -Protean Alignment: Nether -Elemental Base: Carbon -Average ESPER level: Zeta 2 -Total Population: +History: The Ra-noth's history is something of a bizarre one, not being native to the galaxy, let alone native to this reality as a whole. In their home sector, their homeworld and indeed most of their race had suffered greatly. They struggled to rebuild and during such time a massive war had broken out, a war that dragged the entire sector into chaos and claimed many lives. During this time a single ra-noth vessel, the "Toralis" was in service. This vessel simply vanished without a trace, lost with all hands. However unlike what was presumed, the vessel was not destroyed but rather cast into the void. Its drive reacting with an artificial wormhole such to cast it into the space between spaces, a trip that would forever haunt the crew. For the crew this would seem an Eternity, yet just as quick as it had happened it was over, casting the Toralis to someplace new. The ship was damaged severely from this trip, forcing them to make planet fall on a not so friendly planet. From here the crew, led by Alaktor would setup camp in hopes of rescue, for them though this would soon become the foundations of a whole new civilization. As the years passed on the camp grew into a town, then a city. The surrounding terrain slowly shaped to be more friendly. Leaders came and passed as the Ra-noth built into their new life. They were quick to return to the stars though, Seeking to reclaim what had been lost to them. Yet without true understanding of how to travel the stars they were isolated. It had taken them a millennium to not only regain understanding of the riftskipper, still aboard the Toralis remains, but to gain the capabilities to build them again, finally placing the stars firmly within reach. +Other: Unfortunately, due to a degraded genetic structure, genetic regressions are extremely common, slowly growing with each generation. Their heads follow up on this raptor like appearance, having long, thin snouts and two nostrils on the front of said snout, they have two eyes on the left and right sides of their head. Two long, sharp fox-like ears can also be seen on their head, the back of said ears are the same color of any set of hair they grow. The head has two eyes, a nose (though rather flat, due to the plating) a mouth having no lips and two tiny holes on the side of their heads for ears. The body has no fur or hair, but the plates on their head could be different for every Vorak, from zig-zagged, sticking out fringes or entirely flat. Their hands have four fingers, one opposable thumb and their feet have two large, not-very flexible toes. Humanoid in structure, the Vorak men V-Shaped and and the females have pear-shaped body. Vorak males normally have a much more muscular build than woman, harboring a lot of upper-body strength. Meanwhile, females are rather light, but just as endurable with rather tough bone marrow, making them less likely to break any bone of sort than men.
