[-Species Sheet-] Spoiler: click to toggle -Name: The Vagari (Usually revered to as Vagarians) -Homeworld: Regrinor -Physical Appearance: The Vagari are rather small compared to some of the races within the Verion Cluster, usually standing at 4 foot 7 inches, but they are certainly one of the more unusual races. The Vagarians have two legs which have 2 knees each, the upper knee bending the way a human knee would bend while the second knee bends the other way completely, giving their legs a crooked appearance. Their feed are less like feet and more like 3 long toes extending from the ends of their legs, these toes have short, sharp talons on the ends, giving them an excellent grip, and the toes themselves are quite strong, strong enough that a Vagari can hang upside down by his toes alone. The legs of the Vagarians are quite muscular though they also tend to be more lean than one might expect. The torso of the Vagarians curves forward by almost 30 degrees, giving them a slightly hunched appearance, while their spines can be straightened, it is extremely painful and usually leads to the permanent damage of the spinal cord. The Vagarians' arms are certainly one of the most unusual aspects of their physique, they have two arms coming out from what you could call the shoulders, however, when you reach the "elbow," the arm splits into two separate arms, each with their own second elbow and hand. The splitting of the middle-arms usually comes out to about 20 degrees, but that is quite varied. The upper arms of the Vagarians are rather short, usually only a few inches in length while the middle and forearms are closer in proportion to that of a human. The hands are very similar to their feet, being composed of 3 long fingers with no palms whatsoever, these fingers also have short sharp talons identical to those on their feet. The way that the tendons and muscles on the Vagarian's head, neck and shoulders are attached limits their head's range of motion to about 30 degrees to the left or right. The head itself is very curved and elongated, jutting out several inches father than the chest, however, the head is also quite narrow and short when compared to how long it is. The Vagari have 3 eyes, two on the sides of their heads which make up for the limited mobility, and the third facing straight forward on what could be considered the forehead. The mouth of the Vagari is a long pointed beak with a long forked tongue, perfect for prying insects and other morsels from in between rocks and small crevices, the nostrils of the Vagari are located directly below the 3rd eye as two holes at the base of the beak. The Vagarians' skin is usually a dark grey color though it is usually hard to see as it is covered by a think mat of what, from a distance, would appear to be fur, but up close is actually tiny feathers. The Vagari also have a number of rows of frills running up their backs from their waist to a single point on the back of the head, there are usually 3 frills, but some Vagarians have had up to 6. The feathers of the Vagarians can come in virtually any color but the general trend is that they colors are rather darkly shaded, rarely is a Vagarian brightly colored, usually, the frills on the Vagarian's backs, under the chin, and the fingers are more brightly colored than the rest of the body. The main difference between male and female Vagarians (besides the genitalia and the females being slightly smaller on average) is that females have frills around the tops of their heads like a feathered crown, these are usually the same color and shade as the frills on their backs, but some are very different in color, some Vagarians have also taken to dying their frills different colors as a fashion statement. -Average Lifespan (Up to 300): 86 Years -Protean Alignment (Astral, Nether, Neutral): Neutral -Elemental Base (Carbon, Silicon etc): Carbon -Average ESPER level: Psi-Zeta 1, Psi-Lambda 1 -Total Population: 13,721,033,698 as of the last census. +History: The Vagarians evolved in the mountains of their home planet of Regrinor from a flightless bird-like creature that inhabited the crags of the mountain side to avoid the many predators that lived in the forests and deserts surrounding the mountains. Their ancestors would spend their days climbing the mountain side looking for insects and smaller rodents. Over time, however, the Vagarians began to come down from their mountain homes, they began hunting the predators that had once hunted them and started inhabiting the forests, hills, and plains of their homeworld. As their culture developed, the Vagarians became very territorial, even more so then they had been when living on mountain sides, even another Vagari setting foot on their territory was considered an act of war. Because of this the Vagarian's early history was rife with wars fought over the most trivial of things. Eventually, however, the Vagarians began to soften slightly, kingdoms and empires began developing, and while wars were still very common, they weren't quite as trivial as the earlier conflicts had been. However, this new, organized warfare, led to smaller nations being gobbled up by larger nations as if it were a buffet. By the time the Vagarians reached the equivalent of the 1900s on Earth, there were only 17 sovereign nations remaining, all suspicious and wary of each other. When the first atomic bomb was tested, it triggered a massive world war as 16 nations pounced on the one that had initiated the Atomic Age, what followed was the bloodiest and greatest war in Vagarian history, and when the smoke had cleared, only 5 nations remained, each with the power of the atomic bomb in their possession, and each pointing as many nuclear missiles as they could at everyone else. However, this stalemate was eventually broken when the 5 nations agreed to work together to solve the problem of overpopulation that was plaguing their world, there were too many Vagarians for them to support, so they looked upwards, and what they found astonished them. Their home system was a veritable paradise, with two lush, habitable worlds (Including their homeworld), with lush habitable moons orbiting them (2 around Regrinor, and 5 around Magnara), besides that were 2 massive asteroid belts on either side of the 2 habitable planets' orbits. This contradicted all the scientific knowledge they had regarding the nature of the cosmos, there weren't supposed to be this many life supporting worlds in one system. As they began exploring their solar system even more, they discovered that their paradise of a system might not have been a natural occurrence, the lush moons showed no signs of ancient life older than several hundred years, even in fossils, and the 2nd world appears to have had experienced a literal explosion of life only a few hundred years ago. Many theories as to how this could have happened have come and gone, one the most popular of them being that an advanced alien civilization had been planning to colonize this system, even to the point of Terra-forming the rocky worlds in the "Golden Zone" to support life, but something must have happened to them before they could colonize because no signs of alien life could be found anywhere in the system. As the Vagarians began colonizing the worlds in their home system, they began falling back into their old territorial ways, wars started breaking out on the new colonies and between planets, and by the year 2103 the system was split into 4 different factions, 3 controlling the terrestrial worlds and their moons, and the other one controlling the rich asteroid belts. By the year 2162 there hadn't been a war in almost 20 years, however, tensions have risen significantly over the past decade due to the development of a Hyperdrive for faster transportation between worlds and the possibility of expanding beyond their solar system.
