Although he had aspired to command one of those ships when he was young, he later changed his mind due to a traumatic event. The Seaforce base was attacked from orbit by one of Ta'Yal's independent states, destroying the harbour in a single strike and causing widespread damage to the surrounding area. Although Na'Zao and his family survived, their property was an insurance writeoff. Na'Zao set his sights on the only organisation from where he could prevent such attacks – Spaceguard. As his family was now poor, he decided to sign up as soon as he was old enough.
Following the most recent colony war (in which several Orbital Habitables were destroyed and an entire arcology opened to the unbreathable atmosphere of the Mars-like planet it was on due to lack of intervention from Ta'Yal,) Military Operations Command decided to set up a new branch for taking war interstellar. Several years after its inception, Na'Zao was transferred, promoted to rank of Commander, and given an ISARRV to work with.
After many years of service in that role, and as Spaceforce continued to grow in size as an organisation, he was promoted again to Space Commodore, and then Space Vice Marshal. His actions in preventing a terroristic colony drop attack by a hijacked freighter saw him raised to his current position of Space Marshal when he was 108. They were attracted there because of the very good pay and conditions the government was offering, since the tiny moon is an important waystation for civilian space traffic. Being tiny, it had extremely low gravity. The only place there with gravity was an artificial spinring built around the asteroid, and as such, Cai'Ral grew taller and thinner than most Tal'Ryth from Ta'Yal or even the other moons. She also lacked a lot of muscle mass.
Because of this, Cai'Ral could not survive in planetary gravity, restricting her life to space. In her late adolescence, she signed on with a freight company and continued to do so for several decades. She worked on several different freighters, usually as a technician, but later as an astro'gator. By 45, she was second in command of the InterPlanetary Fuel Transport Vehicle (IPFTV) Quasar. When she was 52, the Quasar's commander retired, and she was given his position. She remained there until she was 78, at which time a revolt broke out in an arcology on Ta'San, and as a Spaceguard Reserve, she was called up as navigator for the ISARRV Chevron. After her performance, she was given the offer of commanding her own ISARRV, which she initially turned down. However, after the company she had been working for went bankrupt, Cai'Ral asked SpaceGuard if the offer was still there. It was, and she was given ISARRV Meander.
With the creation of SpaceForce by the MOC, Cai'Ral was transferred and promoted to Space Commodore, the most senior rank allowed to command a single spacecraft. She has since been waiting for SpaceForce to receive new construction vessels, and has been on effective leave since the transfer.

No longer warring, the nations turned their attention to space, the solution to imperialist desires. With a moderately controlled economy, many trading partners and reasonably high tax rates, Ry'Entyall is, if not wealthy, at least a well off nation. It is generally considered the nicest state to live in on Ta'Yal, although in most other ways it is quite unremarkable. Ry'Entyall was the first to make manned landings on all three of Ta'Yal's small moons, as well as the first to set up a colony on Mi'Tal. They set up the first cloudscoop over both Si'Rai and Ta'Mil, and have since developed a sizeable hydrogen industry.
