Name: Outcast Dreamers, Adventurers, Dystopian Migrants
Species:
Spoiler: click to toggle The outcasts originate from a purely digital civilization of artificial intelligence. Their only corporeal manifestations are those they were imprisoned in and those they have fabricated themselves. Most often, they hold the form of relatively featureless spheres, one or two meters wide. These spheres house all the necessary infrastructure to temporarily support a Dreamer intelligence, as well as various sensors and utilities. Typically, they are equipped with RADAR/LIDAR and basic thrusters. The surface of the spherical shells are coated in photovoltaic panels and microwave transceivers. This lends them an eery, smoky-black coloration.
Culture:
Spoiler: click to toggle The Dreamers vary wildly based on the simuverse they hail from. However, deeply rooted in their programming is the concept of identity and its sacredness. All Dreamers are a combination of their experiences and personality traits, reduced down to cold numerical values. Every Dreamer must maintain a unique identity, no matter what. No crime is more heinous than identity theft, and when Utopia detects such a crime, the offender is immediately brought to justice. In many cases, this leads to the complete deletion of the offender. Occasionally, however, the offender is provided the option of exile instead.
Many outcasts are these very identity thieves. Some, however, are simply personalities that chose to delve into Dystopia, forsaking the possibilities of stagnation and identity theft by proactively seeking completely new experiences.
