"Despite the being brainwashed from a very young age, Nar'la is still capable of opening her eyes." —Fathes Sakarr referring to Nar'la after meeting her for the first time.Subject:Nar'leigh'cia Dossier:Brief History
Nar'la was born into the Empire and was immediately taken away from her mother when the Imperial's realized she was Force Sensitive. The child was taken to the Imperial Academy on Lehon and was to become a servant of the Empress. A prophet, a Inquisitor, someone who would do the Empress' bidding and dispose of her enemies. Nar'la was schooled and educated by the Imperials and was quickly trained in the basics of the Force before she was even six years old. After graduating from the Imperial School of the Gifted, she was entered into the Inquisitor programme and began her training.
At first she struggled with the harsh teachings of the Grand Inquisitor and he was tempted to dispose of her as she continued to prove she was weak. But eventually she proved her worth and began to excel through the training she was given. Nar'la was brain washed from a young age to be the loyal servant of the Empress. She was trained to carry out an order without question and she began to believe that the Empress was infact, a living god. Years went on and Nar'la was eventually granted the title of Inquisitor after many missions to the Outer Rim to stop the uprisings against the Empire. She was then summoned by the Empress herself and was sent to the Empress' secret fortress world of Nathema. Nar'la and the rest of the Inquisitors entered the throne room and waited for the Empress. Nar'la looked at the Lethan Twi'lek beside her and then to the other two humans who were with her. The Grand Inquisitor entered the chamber and spoke at the doorway. "All knee, the Empress is here." Nar'la fell to one knee and so did the other Inquisitors. Shortly after, the Grand Inquisitor knelt and the surprisingly fair Zabrak entered the chamber and walked passed them towards her throne.
"You may rise." She said, her voice again, surprisingly soft. Nar'la stood up along with the others and stood at attention in silence. "So these are the new Inquisitors. My new servants?" The Grand Inquisitor who was an old man who was passed his time walked forward quickly and replied. "Yes, Empress. They have been trained well and will not fail you." He said with his old, weak voice. He stroked his beard as he waited for the Empress to reply. The Empress nodded and stood before walking down towards them and examined them one by one until she came across Nar'la. "What is your name, child?" "Nar'la." She replied, staring at the wall behind her. "Look at me." Nar'la felt a wave of fear hit her but looked down at the Empress. Her fiery, corrupt eyes stared back at her from under her hood. Though the Dark Side had corrupted her she still seemed quite fair, this surprised Nar'la but she stayed silent. "I am your Empress. I am your God. You will do -everything- I command. Am I understood?" "Yes, my lady." The four said all at once and the hooded Zabrak smiled slightly. "I have no doubt that these children are powerful, but I will need a demonstration of their abilities." "Of course, my lady." The old man nodded. "You will fight them, we will see how they do as a team. You may begin." The old man again nodded but this time with uncertainty.
Test of Loyalty
The four newly appointed Inquisitor's looked at each other in confusion but then the Lethan Twi'lek, the one they called Xiss, ignited her blade and glared at the old man. The old man drew his staff blade and ignited it. Nar'la now understood what they must do. She also ignited her blade and stood next to Xiss. The other two stood behind, hesitant and nervous. The old man roared and charged the pair who evaded his strike. Unprepared for the attack one of the humans was cut down while Xiss countered with a flurry of strikes at the old man's back. But it was carefully parried by the Grand Inquisitor who then sent a wave of Lightning at Xiss. But she managed to parry it and send her boot into his jaw, cracking it. He moaned in pain and continued his attack. The other human moved in for an attack and seemed to have the old man on the retreat but the Grand Inquisitor was luring him in. With a surprise backward turn and a swift lunge, the human was cut through the abdomen and dropped to the floor dead.
Nar'la looked down at the two corpses and then to the Empress as she spoke. "It seems they are not as powerful as you think." She then laughed to herself as the battle continued. Xiss shouted as she sent her blade towards him in an attempt to behead him, but instead he ducked and sent his knee into her ribs. Before the old man was able to cut her down, his blade was deflected by Nar'la's blade and both entered a saber lock. Xiss skipped backwards to recover. Time seemed to have slowed down as the saber lock continued. He was far to strong for her and within moments she would be dead. But from behind the old man, Xiss had leaped into the air and attempted to pin the old man to the floor with her blade. "Schutta!" He shouted as he extended a hand and unleashed his lightning at her and she flew across the hall. Nar'la moved back away from his blade to give herself some space.
"Do not fail me as your fallen comrades have." The Grand Inquisitor said and Nar'la glared at him with her crimson eyes. She raised her blade and waited for his attack. He extended his hand and she knew what was coming, he sent more lightning at her but she managed to hold it back with her blade for the time being. However, as time went on her hands could be felt getting weaker and she was going to be engulfed by it. Where is Xiss!? She thought to herself as she was about to be burnt alive. Then suddenly, Xiss had recovered and sent her blade cutting through his back. The old man gasped in pain and the lightning ceased. He turned to her and grabbed her by the throat, slowly squeezing the life out of Xiss. Nar'la then took her chance and with a sideward swing, the old man was beheaded.
The Empress nodded. "Good. I feared that I would have to kill him myself." Nar'la nodded and breathed heavily. "He was right, you are powerful. And his training has served you well." Xiss looked over at Nar'la and nodded respectfully. Nar'la nodded back. "Now, return to your chambers. You will be summoned soon." "Yes, my lady." They both said as they bowed and left the throne room. When Nar'la reached her room, she went inside and locked the door behind her. She then stumbled over to her bed and collapsed onto it. She was exhausted and this was only the beginning of her life as the Empress' servant.
Nar'leigh'cia during her years as a young Inquisitor.
After several years of service, Nar'la was sent to Uvema Prime to collect the stolen body of Fathes Sakarr. However, when she arrived she was greeted by a man named Tarth. He then showed her the body of Fathes and tricked her into conducting a ritual which released Fathes from his stasis. When he was released she was drained of the Force and was extremely powerless to defeat him. Seeing no alternative, she turned and fled.
Inquisitor Nar'la's star fighter came out of Hyperspace above Lehon and immediately began to descend upon the planet. The female Chiss looked through the window as the ship flew down through the clouds and eventually revealed the beaches and lands littered with ships which had crash landed thousands of years before. "Request clearance to land at the academy." The droid beeped and squealed.
Once they had been given permission to land, the ship continued towards the Academy's hangar and docked. Inquisitor Nar'la climbed out of the cock pit and saw the Imperial Guard's who had been sent to meet her waiting at the entrance. She took a deep breathe and walked over to them.
"The Empress demands your report and wishes to know why you have not returned with her prize." The Captain of the Imperial Guard barked in a threatening voice.
Nar'la nodded and they went further inside the Academy. The Captain watched her closely and Nar'la could sense his fiery eyes burning through her. She reached her chambers and continued inside towards the holo communicator. She tapped in a few things and the blue projection came to life. A small avatar of the Empress appeared on the pedestal. Nar'la dropped to one knee immediately and bowed her head, as did the Imperial Guard to her rear. "My Lady." The chiss said, with a sudden rush of fear taking hold of her body. "Rise, Inquisitor Nar'la. Explain to me your findings on Uvema Prime. Was the body of Fathes Sakaar recovered? I sense fear in you, which suggests you have failed me."
"My lady, I was tricked into conducting a ritual which resulted in his stasis to be broken. I have failed you, my lady. Please forgive me." The young Inquisitor said as she felt all the eyes in the room glaring at her. "And yet, you simply let him free and did not persue him. Surely you know the penal--- The Imperial Captain said with a cold voice but fell into silence as the Empress raised her hand to shut him up. "I was unable to persue him. The ritual had driven me to exhaustion and I did not have the strength to confront him." She said as she expected the Imperial Guard to impale her from behind with his Force Pike. However, he did not. "Inquisitor Nar'la. You will set things right by finding Fathes Sakarr, capturing him and bringing him to me. If you fail, I will have you executed. Do I make myself clear?" "Yes, of course my lady." The threatened Chiss said with almost a sigh of relief. "Excellent, now begone." With a courteous bow and a brief nod, she turned on her heel and left the room as quick as she could with the Imperial Guard following her.
After tracking Fathes to Alzoc III she made quick work of her arrival and was greeted by Agent Darkrose. She was then given accommodation for her stay while she completed her mission. She made her way to where she believed Fathes was and he revealed to her that she was nothing but a puppet and a pawn. Though, she was loyal she had been questioning her own loyalty towards the Empress prior. After facing the truth she unleashed her temper and ruined the room they were in. She was wordless and needed to take her anger out on the world. So she left the building and began slaughtering Imperial Soldiers. This resulted in the death of Captain Jard and the destruction of the Imperial Embassy.
Seventeen years later, Nar'la found herself on Korriban exploring the ancient tombs. Nar'la arrived, already sensing the loss of life within. She could feel the death and smell flesh in the air. She knelt down, inspecting the wounds inflicted on a dead cultist. Lightsaber. She was not surprised. Nar'la then stood, following the trail of bodies into the temple. The Person in question responsible for the onslaught roamed the dark lit hall that contained what he was looking for. Old, engraved readings on the wallls and burial mounts, speaking of tales none of these 'rejects' as he reffered to them would ever hope to understand. His sulfuric, bright eyes rested on the inscriptions as he kept reading. Nar'la made her way in, her hand resting above her hilt. She stared at the man who seemed to have his eyes fixed on something else.
The strangers head rose from the inscriptions, a clear sign that he was aware of her. Moreso, the mood shifted immediately, as the air itself became dense and nearly weighing down in his atmosphere a sheer declaration of war through his presence, his abnormal desires alone. Slowly, he turned on his heel, as his sulfuric, nearly glowing eyes glared at the uninvited guest. "That's quite a mess you've made." The Chiss glanced around at the many bodies littered on the ground. She then looked back to him. Wordlessly, he began to approach her. "Not so fast." She raised a hand, stepping back. His eyes, unwavering, glared directly into her pure crimson ones, his face solemn and empty of all emotions. As she stepped back, he merely moved forward again and with that, she ignited her blade within the blink of an eye and pointed it towards him. "Back." She said, with a more serious tone. As the blade ignited, he didn't even flinch. His eyes merely took a look at the tip of the blade that rested near his side, and then returned to her. with a wide smirk on him, nearly sadistic.
"I don't think you'll want to play around with this." She said, returning the glare. It was then that, suddenly, his eyes widened and his mouth went wide open, as his glutted scream alone created a wave that not only shook the halls they stood in, but threw her back aswell. Nar'la flew back, skidding on her backside across the cold floor. As the distance was created, his hands reached for his own to hilts. Nar'la got up slowly with a growl of frustration, twirling her blade around. "Have it you're way." As the duel began, she wasted no time in trying to disarm the crazed man but he sent his blade towards her and she came dangerously close to being hit, however she ducked her head under his swing and delivered a kick to his face. In his perhaps blind frenzy, the man lost one of his blades as it flung to the side. She then bashed her hilt into his face, having no other way to strike him. The hit landed with a cracking thud. as he stepped back, he readjusted his chin with his hand, raising his blade with that sadistic smile of his.
She fired a deadly blast of Lightning at him which would catch him off guard. As his clothes where smoking after the barrage, he still got up, his eyes widening "..Haven't had this much fun in a while." His rather commanding voice rose once more "..Well.. this has been fun. however... I'm done playing." As he said those words, his entire body seemed to become a current of lightning, as his hand slowly rose, and the lightning made it's way right at her. Nar'la would attempt to raise her blade and resist, but the power would be too much for her. She would fall under it's onslaught. With his sadistic smirk, he walked slowly up to her, his hand still extended. Her body lifted of the floor slowly against her will, as she suddenly smashed into the ceiling and back to the floor. She grunted as she tried to use the Force as best she could to soften the impacts. During her futile struggle, he gripped her by her neck mid air, smashing her into the edge behind them. As he knelt down to her side, the emitter plate of his blade beneath her chin. "...You've given me a fun fight. Thanks. Now, Like the other fools, I'll give you a chance to save yourself. Give me one reason not to kill you." Nar'la gritted her teeth, trying not to scream in frustration but in return he looked slightly puzzled. "..Do you not value your own life?" "For a certain time I didn't... My life once belonged to someone else. But now I do." His hilt pushed harder beneath her chin, forcefully raising her head to look at him with the back of her neck pushed into the edge. "..Well then, give me a reason." She grunted and shuffled uncomfortably. "I'm a lot more valuable to you alive..." "..Valuable?" He chuckled. "..as what? my plaything? you're less then a child in my eyes. You're not even apprentice material. So what value are you talking about?" "We both know that's a lie. Maybe..." She grunted. "Given time, I can prove it." His features became disgruntled as he applied more pressure to head head with the hilt, dangerously close to breaking her neck over the edge or suffocating her. With an unnatural calmness he thought about her words while maintaining that shift. She closed her eyes, her cheeks going dark blue.
"..Hmmm..Is..that so. I, doubt it. Nowhere..do you seem extraordinary... You're average. No exceptional talent, beyond the fact you're gifted in the force.. you,..do not seem the smartest either." "And yet... I was able to land several blows. What does that say about you?!" She opened her eyes, staring into his. He patted her with his free hand. "..Cute, cute. but how to explain it... I chose to fight you. I chose to let you hit me. There's no pleasure in fighting if you only dish out." He leaned in to whisper "..Doesn't get me that riled up if only I hurt others, you know? ..I need some pain for myself." "Is that true, Nocturiel?" She said, knowing his name from his years in the Inquisition. "..Oh!, you recognized me!" In his slight joy he pinched the hilt slightly further up, and then back into the steady position. "..And ofcourse it is. If you know my name, you should also know that other little detail about me." She winced, growing slightly more emotional as her anger began to build further. "..This is the type of thing I live for... Now, ah-ah-ah." He muttered, smashing his fist into her stomach to wind her out. "..Don't get so emotional on me now. It's just death, all a natural part of life... But, I am in an exceptionally good mood today." The hilt slowly went off her throat, as his large hand rested near her faces side. She let out a sigh of relief and immediately went to rub the back of her neck. "Beg me in the nicest possible way to become my slave, and you may just save your life." "It wouldn't be the first time I have been slave... So it should be fairly easy..." "..No..No, that's not begging. That's declaring. I want to see you beg for it, plead for it. to show your subordination." She gulped. "Please... P-please let me serve you..." She placed a hand on his, staring at him.
A warm smile went over him. "..Good..good...now. Lower your head all the way to the floor." She did so, hesitantly. He chuckled slightly. "...Good pet...good.." He knelt down again to grab a strong grip on her hair, pulling her up by them to her knees before he then rested his hand on her head. "..I want you to memorize this moment. This very second." He brushed through her hair as he spoke. "Because this is now your true calling. To kneel to my will, and to be my subordinate. Your mind, body and spirit belong to me now... And after death as well." She gave a nod, her expression blank. "Good!..Now get up... You may tell me your story now. What brought you here?'
Freedom & Csilla
Nar'la eventually was set free by her master and became a wanderer. She soon traveled back to Korriban where she acted as a teacher and witnessed Darth Valarec's ascension to the throne. She was then sent to Csilla to infiltrate and assassinate the senator.
They eventually met another group of Chiss, lead by a more distinguished looking man. This would likely be the Senator. Once inside, Nar'la removed her hood, revealing her tattoo'd face. Her hair was long and dark and some of it had been braided at the back. He was a clean cut man, very neat and tidy, he was older than the others. His laugh lines gave him a wisened look. His black hair was streaked with gray. She bowed politely. "Senator." He looked Nar'la up and down for a moment. He returned the bow, stepping towards her. "The pleasure is all mine. What brings you to the Chiss homeworld, representative? The Senator inquired. I am here on behalf of my master, lord of the Sith, Darth Valarec. If we may speak in private. She eyed the others, who were clearly listening in. The Senator's eyes widened a bit at hearing who she answered to, a Lord of the Sith. Troubling. The senator nodded twice. "Walk with me." The others looked to the Senator as he walked away, they began to follow. The Senator turned. "Dismissed." His tone was not one to be questioned. The bodyguards eyed each other, but did as they were commanded. "What do the Sith want with us?" He asked plainly. "We wish to know where you stand. The Chiss were along the founding Imperials who helped bring the former Empire to glory." "We have remained neutral since the time of Admiral Thrawn...a darker past of the Chiss." He said, referring to the Galactic Civil War. "The Empire today is in decline, it must be restored to it's former glory." "So you do not come here with requests. You come with demands." The Senator was no fool. "I come here hoping that you will support us and see that the Empire should be ruled not by a senate who's interests are their own, but by the Sith. By the Sith who founded this very Empire." Though her words were tactfully said, the Senator was under the impression that there was little room for disagreement. "That was a long time ago."
The Senator stopped, turning away. "War is upon you. Do you think the senate will be able to protect the Empire? The Republic has never agreed with Imperial affairs and will do anything to undo us." The Senator turned, mouth wide in shock. "The Republic wouldn't dare declare war! We are at peace!" "Is that so?" "Our ways may be different, but that doesn't mean they would strike when our backs are turned!" "Then why were multiple Imperial delegates were invited to Kashyyyk under the impression it would be a peaceful meeting?" She reached into her robe, taking out a datapad. She brought up a holo-recording of several Imperials being slaughtered by a Jedi Councillor. The Senator's eyes were filled with concern. He grimaced as he viewed the massacre...they didn't even threaten her. She just...slaughtered them. "Circe Ethilor is a known and wanted war criminal." "Why...why would they do this!?" Nar'la said nothing and replaced the datapad back into her robes. "The Jedi are tools of the Republic... Does their greed have no limits." He said gravely. "We already have support from Ryloth. With the Chiss Ascendancy, we will be even stronger and our influence will be vast. It won't be long until the Sith are able to protect us again." The Senator rested his thumb on the side of his chin, using his index finger to rub the opposite side in thought. His brow furrowed. "I will think on the matter. This... is very disturbing." "Every moment which passes by the Jedi and the Republic will be working against us. I will remain by your side, with your permission and guide you." The Senator seemed to be buckling under the pressure. "I-...I agree." "Declare your new policies, let the people know where you stand. They will follow you. You are a good leader." "Very well. The Chiss will stand by you. Against the Jedi, and the corrupt Republic that owns them."
She nodded and motioned for him to continue on, she would hope he would make a broadcast. "I will deliver the news to the people personally. I will officially declare you our new ally, and protectors againste the Jedi." "Then let us make haste." "I will show the people that recording...unveil the lies they have been fed by the Republic." The Senator had taken less than an hour to declare a national emergency. Nar'la was with the Senator as he addressed the people of Csilla from a secure location. The Senator was broadcast across the system as a holographic image that overrode any other holonet devices. The Senator's bodyguard were at the door as security, watching Nar'la. The Senator cleared his throat, then addressed the people.
Nar'leigh'cia upon her 'diplomatic' visit to Csilla.
"People of Csilla, I have discovered a horrifying truth." He paused a moment, letting his words sink in. "The Republic, and the Jedi, have betrayed us. Murdering members of an Imperial Envoy on the Wookiee homeworld, Kashyyyk." The holo-recording that Nar'la had shown the Senator was inserted into the net, now being shown on every holo device on Csilla. The Senator continued as the recording played, showing the massacre of the Imperials at the hands of a Jedi. Nar'la suddenly stepped into view and added her own verse to the song of war. "I will be representing our senator, guiding him and have been appointed as his personal adviser. My name is Nar'leigh'cia. I will do our people proud and bring our enemies to justice." "Our allies, the Sith Order, have promised us protection from the insatiable greed of the Republic! The Jedi are not as they seem. Pawns of the Republic and its corrupt, sniveling representatives. They are murderers, and have chosen to betray the very doctrine they hold so dearly. May this new alliance bring our enemies out of the dark, and into the light. Justice will be done. Long live the Chiss, long live the Sith!" The Senator raised a hand in salute. The broadcast was ended. Nar'la smiled and turned to the senator before speaking. "May we speak on more personal matters?" "Speak freely." "I must inform you of a message from the dark lord himself. It is for your ears only." "Of course." The Senator dismissed his guard. Nar'la turned to several of the Chiss standing across the room, they were actually agents working for her.
The Senator took a seat, and interlocked his hands, attentively looking at Nar'la. She nodded and they sealed the doors. The Senator noted this, standing. "You are dismissed. Leave us." He demanded. The three agents brought forward a box and placed it on the ground. Nar'la turned and used force stasis on him, making him unable to move. "What are yo- Achhh!" The Senator collapsed, stunned so forcefully he couldn't even blink. The three agents began taking torture tools out of the box and began setting them up. The Senator attempted to speak, but only low murmurs were heard. Then a light, defiant whimper. "We have two options, my friend." The Senator looked on in terror at the torture equipment being assembled... his eyes widened. She walked around him, placing both her hands on his shoulders. "You will record a message, announcing that you are standing down and handing power to me. Or, we will use these tools to persuade you. Don't make this hard for us both, dear senator." The Senator shook his head. As best he could, anyways. A mere twitch, but it was a no. She leaned by his ear and whispered. "So be it." One of the agents stepped forward, placing his little finger into what looked like a cigar cutter.' The senator murmured loudly, twitching his head forward. He had enough! He didn't want to lose a finger. He continued to do so desperately. "Are you positive? She asked before using the Force to allow him to speak, but should he scream, she would use stasis again. He felt his lungs loosen... coughing thrice, before clearing his throat. "What do you want me to say?" The Senator couldn't believe it... He had been hoodwinked. She pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket and put it into his hand. He had damned his people. The Senator looked down at it. It read: 'I am hereby standing down as senator and leader of the Chiss people, I hand my powers and title over to my personal adviser, Nar'leigh'cia as I trust her to lead us to glory.' The Senator's voice cracked as he began, but he cleared his throat, remedying the issue.
"I am hereby standing down as Senator, and leader of the Chiss people." He continued, licking his lips. "I hand my powers, and title over to my personal adviser, Nar'leigh'cia, as I trust her to lead us to glory. She will bring our enemies to justice, may she bless the Chiss." He stopped. She nodded to the agent who took our a recording device and prepared it. "Bravo." He fumbled with the paper, almost dropping it. He hesitated, unsure of what to do now. "Now again, but with more enthusiasm." The agent began to record. He did so. "People of Csilla, I am hereby standing down as acting senator, and leader of our people, the Chiss. I am handing my executive powers and titles over to our new ally, and my personal adviser, Nar'leigh'cia, as I trust her to lead us to glory. She will bring justice to the doorstep of our enemies, may she ever bless the Chiss." He finished with a confident tone, he was a skilled actor. "You see gentlemen, even politicians can be reasoned with." The agents all chuckled. The Senator grimaced. "Why are you doing this?" "Have fun, make it quick." She took the recording device and uploaded it to the holonet. With that, his finger was severed from his hand. He attempted to scream, but the agent behind him quickly slipped a hand over his mouth, and also covering his nostrils. Muting the screams. The Senator kicked out but began to block out as the adrenaline kicked in, the lack of oxygen was his demise. His body was cremated and disposed with. Nar'la wasted no time in contacting Darth Valarec.
"My lord, Csilla is under our influence. Valarec's voice filled her commlink, his strong voice spoke. "Good... Very good. What of their senator?" "He has been disposed of. As of now, I am senator of Csilla." Valarec shifted in his throne, leaning on one curved arm of the ornate chair. "Excellent. I will send several of our number to assist you there. Do not let anyone leave the system." "Very well. We now have Ryloth and Csilla." "The Empire is still unaware?" "It would appear so." "They will succumb to my will easily." Valarec chuckled, an ominous laugh. "Begin to process their officials, and military commanders. Replace them if you must. And so, Nar'la assumed command of Csilla and the people bowed to her will.
Plans Of Her Own
Upon returning to Korriban after seizing control of Csilla, Nar'la realized she had gained the trust of the newly appointed dark lord of the Sith. Darth Valarec appeared to hold her in high regards as a valuable asset to his plans.
But Nar'la had plans of her own, she had her very own star system under her control and the Chiss Ascendancy were more than capable of becoming a force to be reckoned with. Nar'la decided her first plan of putting herself in a power position would be to heal old wounds and gain the trust of her old master, Ventaris Lok. Ventaris had been recently disgraced and mocked by the Sith after his defeat at the hands of a Jedi prisoner.
Nar'la quickly located her old master using the Force and found that he had been hiding in the tomb of Naga Sadow like some kind of wounded animal. And wounded he was, as Nar'la had to heal his wounds and give him prosthetic hands. After discussing her intentions with him, they both agreed on what should be done with the Empire and Nar'la soon realized that he was blinded by the love of Lady Deception. Nar'la decided this would work in her benefit and she would be easily able to deceive him.
After getting his support, Nar'la promised him an Empire like the old and that it would be restored to it's former glory. Blinded by his visions of power, he swore he would help her no matter the cost. Pleased, Nar'la told him she would remain on Korriban while Ventaris left to hunt to the Jedi who shamed him. As a sign of goodwill, Nar'la gave her ship to him and he left the planet to begin his hunt.
However, Nar'la did not keep her word and left for the ancient Sith capital world of Lehon where she had once been raised as a child in the early days of the Empire. Upon her arrival, she discovered a machine which had once served the Imperial Academy under the title of 'The Commandant'. This beast was part human, part machine and would work as an excellent puppet for Nar'la. After proving she was it's superior as an Inquisitor, Nar'la discovered Xay'lia private journal which was still logged into the computer in her abandoned palace. Nar'la was surprised to see the vast knowledge which Xay'lia once knew and learned about Force Deception. Nar'la was intrigued by this power and learned that the only holocron left which held this knowledge was in Lady Deception's tomb itself.
Nar'la knew that if Ventaris or anyone else discovered her true intentions, she would be destroyed for sure. So after examining every detail of the journal and memorizing the exact location of the holocron, Nar'la destroyed the journal and ordered her new found ally, The Commandant to bring the holocron to her.
And so, the beast set out on it's journey to Ziost. Upon arriving, the old ship landed in the nearby jungles, it was not of the Empire. Instead, it was unmarked and looked nothing more than a merchant ship. Assuming the temple was abandoned, it landed without warning and seemed to be undisturbed for a short time. What the Commandant didn't know was that Ventaris was actually inside the temple. Ventaris had woken up some time ago, and was heading into the tombs to meditate. The temple was not as populated as other ones, as it consisted of sith inquisitors and assassins. Ventaris had started it specially as he had been the grand inquisitor once.
The Commandant climbed out of the ship like a spider coming out of it's hole. Ventaris would feel the familiar presence of The Commandant, as they were not fully machine. He did not recognize it just yet however. The machine made his way across the field towards the west gate, those who saw him did not dare try to stop him or question him, but he ignored them anyway. Here, in this tomb, lay the remnants of Lady Deception, and Xaya, her daughter.
The Commandant sent a message to Nar'la, telling her that he had successfully entered the temple and was moments away from completing his objective. Shortly after, Ventaris entered the arena chamber and saw the cyborg, he stopped dead in his tracks. Aware of Ventaris behind him, he simply turned and looked down at him. "Aren't you supposed to be dead or deactivated?" Said Ventaris, surprised to see the commandant still in operation. "I could say the same thing about you." The Commandant replied, not showing much interest in his old superior. He examined Ventaris for a few moments before mocking him and leaving the hall. "Not so grand anymore, are you?"
The Commandant made his way deeper into the temple until he came across the 'tombs'. Ventaris shrugged and returned to the tombs to meditate, unaware that the Commandant had went there. The Commandant entered the tomb of Deception and opened it using the switch. He ran his claw across the top of the coffin and it made a horrible screeching sound. He then clenched his other hand and punched a whole through the lid and began to rip the coffin open. This was when Ventaris entered and looked on in disgust. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" He said, demanding an explanation. The Commandant remained silent and continued stared at the stone statue which resembled Xay'lia. He placed his claw across the face, looked up towards Ventaris then back to the statue. "Get your scrap-metal claws off of that statue!" Ventaris shouted, his anger growing. But the Commandant then ripped the face clean off, revealing a skull within it. Under the skull was his prize. A small black box. He used his other hand to carefully remove the skull and place it on the ground but Ventaris intervened, narrowed his eyes and sent out a blast of lightning towards the commandant before he could do anything further.
But the commandant had just enough time to raise his shields to full percent, deflecting the lightning. He kept the lightning going, which would be powerful enough to keep him from moving to conserve his power for the shield. The bolts of lightning bounced all around the room, bringing destruction and shattering the artifacts which hung from the ceiling and walls. Ventaris stopped finally and reached out with the force, gripping the commandant. "What are you after?!" He asked, his temper getting the better of him. But the Commandant activated the small atomic bomb which had been planted inside him. The explosion would kill everything within it's radius and bring the entire temple down on them. He heard the beeping and went into the other room, putting up as much protection as possible in fear of the explosion. But that is what the cyborg wanted and it gave him enough time to deactivate the bomb, grab the box and flee. He did exactly that, and was met with no resistance as he fled into the jungles.
As the cyborg climbed into his ship, he sent a message telling Nar'la his mission was a success and he was returning to Lehon. Ventaris roared in a rage, seeing he had been fooled. Ventaris replaced Xay'lia's skull and tried to raise Nar'la on his commlink.
Upon entering hyperspace, the Commandant examined the box and managed to open it. The object inside seemed to be the holocron he had been sent to retrieve, but he would not be able to open it on his own. He would need Nar'la or someone who was willing to help him. Meanwhile, on Lehon, Nar'la answered the commlink seeing it was Ventaris.
"Nar'la. Are you aware that the Commandant just stormed into the tomb of Xay'lia and Xaya and disturbed Deception's resting place?" Explained Ventaris, clearly enraged by what had just happened. Nar'la responded with surprise in her voice and continued her deception. "What? The machine is reactivated?" "Yes.. The machine is reactivated." He replied, somewhat confused. "Do you know anything about this? He said he was under orders by the Chiss Ascendancy." "This is the first I am hearing about this. Perhaps it has malfunctioned. What happened exactly?" "No.. It distracted me after I blasted it with lightning and gripped it by activating a bomb inside of it. Once I went to protect myself, it fled with something that it had seen in her coffin. I don't know what he saw.. but it had to have been important." Nar'la replied with exactly what he wanted to hear. "Foolish monster. I will hunt it down. I will update you when I know more." Ventaris was pleased with this. "Good." He said, still assured that Nar'la was with him. "Farewell, master." She said and cut the connection.
She deactivated her commlink and rose from her desk. As she did so, she looked out of the window, seeing a single ship descend through the atmosphere. It was the Commandant.
