http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/8126357/Muslims-clash-with-police-after-burning-poppy-in-anti-Armistice-Day-protest.html

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MUAFuo9yr4

so after peeking at a few facebook groups, it's obvious a lot of tension has been sparked by some muslim protesters performing quite the hateful act.

As a result a hell of a load of people are piiiissed off now and well, there's a couple of facey groups well over the 200k mark with outrageously racist comments from brits, mostly.

personally I find it all disgusting and I don't realllly get why the reason of so many people was to target over 2 million people living in the UK with racist remarks for the acts of 30 people. It's just making life worse for everyone. =\

Freedom of speech and all that shit, I guess. They've got the right to burn poppies, they've got the right to react like they did because otherwise someone's going to pull the "but you're infringing on my rights if you say I can't express what I want" card.

Meh, honestly, I'm apathetic to the whole thing.

it's a shame too many people take advantage of the opportunity to be idiotic. A couple of facey deletions have occurred from this whole thing when it comes to me. 8D

Freedom of speech is in place... But do these guys actually think before they do something? Burning a poppy will obviously cause trouble. From what I've seen, they're just a bunch of attention whores.

No racist btw. :/

35 Muslims are exceptionally racist.
So, in return, us higher-class better-quality Brits decided to be equally as racist? Huh.
Guess we really are all the same, in the end.

really, the way so many people cowardly spewed hate out on facey is just asking for even more people to disrespect things like Nov.11 next year. =\

Both groups are in fault. The one causing the other group to overreact though.
Still doesn't mean the one group should've done that...

The whole thing is disgusting really. And while in no way would I ever condone racism in the slightest, I do have to question the people who are reacting to the backlash.
I've seen a ton of people on fbook making statuses and groups about how the people condeming muslims deserve to die. Yet I find these people pretty hypocritical. They are the kind of people who'd back up Islam here, yet if one pope molested a child, they'd condem the whole Christian Church without question. These are the kind of people who only take an interest in these political situations to try and make themselves look loving and sympathetic. And that really pisses me off.

But yeah, the thirty protestors should be sent off to fight in a war. Then I'm sure they won't be wishing anyone to 'burn in hell'.

Bryn, you're a hypocrite.
Some of the people take an interest in it to make themselves look loving and sympathetic.

Not all of them. Stop summarisizing like a silly hypocriticicic.
