This is why a lot of Forums don't have religious threads.
People who are stuck extremely far up their own arse go crazy in them.
I plan on abusing many peoples Avatars;

Whoelse, No, I haven't read a Buddah book. But I never said I was Buddhist, Did I now? i don't need to read it, because ... guess what... I'M NOT BUDDHIST! I was just saying that is I HAD to choose a Religion, It would be Buddah.. (Or Pagan actually) But I choose not to have a religion... Because.. One God? No. There are billions of Gods...
(I cant believe I am actually saying this) BUT! This is how I think it all happened (mainly because I hate people fighting over religion..) All the Gods, sat down one day and decided to make the universe... 'POP' and there goes the universe... basically, I dont believe there is only just one God. Nobody can be positivly certain that there is only one God, and he is the right God. There is no proven fact about this, yes the Bible, and all of that, but there are a lot of different religions, and why do we have to choose just one? (im not religious or ever will be) but really? who says there is a God?
I know I am jumping between, yes I believe and no I dont, and I am sorry about that, but really? I dont know. There are so many, and no body can say, this is right, believe this.

If you want to be the person who says that, go right a head, but I'm not listening to you, because, I know when the time is right, I will KNOW what I believe and I know right now, it is nothing but a higher being.. who might not have created everything, but guides us.

*sigh* Sorry everybody for jumping, if I did...

Whoelse is a pretty bad troll to be honest, but for the heck of it, go, explain why my ideas are contradicting themselves ;)

Oh, and I HAVE read the dhammapada and near enough any hermetic book I can find, God is a man made Idea because we had to figure it out on our own, regardless of wether or not there is or isn't a god or gods. Just to nitpick before you start, Its not contradictory to believe that there's a chance I might be wrong ;)

if we could stop playing the "personally attack everyone's religious views to make me feel better about myself because although I act like I'm really confident I'm by far the most insecure person here game" that would be great.

thanks guys.

You're an ignorant by choice then. I'm not Buddhist, either, but for I make sure I read before I open my mouth and make an uneducated opinion.

edit:

deg: yeah, you just got rocked. Enjoy being to stubborn to understand anything.

whacked: I'm not a troll. If you want to get into that, I myself have dozens of papers trying to analyze the error of perception, and so the inaccuracy of "fact" because of it. Parmenides-type stuff, but exploring the particular and relevant rather than his incessant rambling. So, unless you plan on pulling out Nietzsche, don't go down the road you are in the argument. Gravity is a force. So is "God." Stop being a cunt. Read what you said and you'll see how disjointed and illogical that piece of pretentious garbage you wrote was.

george: yeah you're right, love of debate and an overinflated ego always point to insecurity. Take your 3 year old grade psychology and shove it. At least this is stuff of SUBSTANCE rather than one word answers, or the typical awkward bullshit that's spilled constantly far too often around forums.

And you're rude by choice then? Generally I try to think if what I'm about to say may offend someone before I open my mouth. Maybe you should too.

Interesting, You still have yet to point anything out, and you also have yet to realise that Parmenides was but a single man, a philosopher, who albeit his point being that There is fact, existance and how nothing can change and that most else is false you fail to realise that he's 1 man, with 1 bit of work that is heavily controversial and is widely accepted as a load of bollocks by most people studying perception, Seriously if you want to argue about perception read the cosmic trigger series, the Dhammapada, Reality tunnels or various other books that talk about the subject in detail. Don't try to deflect from my point, That is my view, it is a view shared by many people, especially through history, Leonardo Da Vinci, Isaac Newton David Rockefeller, so before you come of saying that I'm a cunt and that my opinion is disjointed and illogical, how about actually pointed out a point of mine that is the aformentioned next time instead of deflecting and trying to sound smart by sprouting out that you read about perception, big whoop, I do to, In fact I focus a lot of my life towards it, we can argue about what God is to the people as a mass, but as an actual entity, that is what I believe, I do believe that God can be perceived as a force if you analyse its affects on the common day community, but to say that believing it to be a entity different to one you believe is bullshit just shows that you are not only stubborn, but quite literally just as much as an extremist as your common day literal Christian.

Oh and a little note to George or any other admin, please, let this thread go, I find his arguments interesting and I find him to be a bit more intellectual than your average religious "debating" extremist.

I'll leave this without stepping in on two conditions:

1: You're all respectful of each other's views.
2: You put forward arguments POLITELY.

As long as those stay in play, I don't mind this. As soon as one goes out of play though, myself or one of the others will put this thread out of play.

have fun.

I like the idea that God can be an entity that very well could exist within the boundaries of infinity, but infinity doesn't instantly mean everything that can will.
And yet people seem to think that it does. :c

I'm perfectly happy without Religion in my life. I've never cared much about how the Universe was created, only about what has happened in said Universe.
