How the attacking system works (You might need a calculator) Attack power on enemies depends on weapon attack power, your current status ATT power and the monster's defence Damage = Weapon Power + Character's ATT power - Monster's defence It's the same for when the enemy attacks you: Enemy's attack power - player's defence power = overall damage to player EXP system Here is how much EXP you need to level up each time. Look at the character info for how much stat points you have for each level up. After you hit the required amount of EXP, reset the counter and then add the remaining EXP you have gained Level 2: 40 EXP Level 3: 100 EXP Level 4: 180 EXP Level 5: 290 EXP Level 6: 440 EXP Level 7: 620 EXP Level 8: 840 EXP Level 9: 1120 EXP Level 10: 1490 EXP After you level up, put the EXP earned back to 0, then add the remaining EXP that wasn't added yet. (e.g. 100 EXP earn but only 80 is needed, once level up, reset the counter so it's back to 0, then add the 20 onto the next EXP requirement) LIMIT BREAK Limit Breaks can only be used once per match, the damage delt depends on what Limit Break you use. Here is how it works: First Limit Break: Damage x2 Second Limit Break: Damage x2.5 Third Limit Break: Damage x3 Forth Limit Break: Damage x3.5 Fifth Limit Break: Damage x4 In the Dueling Arena Thread, You can't use any Limit Breaks on your first 3 turns, it will make it unfair on the opponent. In the Monster Arena Thread, you can't use your Limit Breaks on your first 2 turns. YOU CAN ONLY USE LIMIT BREAKS ONCE PER MATCH Magic Damage Magic damage is delt if someone has a Magic Materia and has the right amount of MP to use it. You can use up double, triple or quaddruple the amount of MP to boost the attack of the magic materia. If you use Quad the amount of MP used, you will miss a turn, so the opponent gets a extra hit so think wisely about using it. This is how the magic attack works: INT level - Opponent's Magic Defence level = Overall Magic Damage If you use double, triple or quad the amount of MP, it will go like this: INT level x 2, 3 or 4 times the amount of MP - Opponent's Magic Defence = Overall Magic Damage So for example, If I used fire attack and quad the amount of MP and my opponent has 8 Magic Defence it would go like this: 16x4 - 8 = 56HP Damage The same thing goes for Healing Materia like Cure: INT + Your Magic Defence + MP Cost = Overall HP recovery So if you are a Mage type, you should learn this for future duels or Monster fights. I will edit this with more levels as this RPG gets more people. |
