Mom!? Posts: 86 Group: Admin Member #5 Joined: January 10, 2008	Well, now isn't this nice.... We are now in the works for a new website. A custom website in which we will code ourselves. I'm going to be working on the main framework for it for the next couple days, just to get started. It's going to take a while, but we will get it done. If anyone is willing to help out, either post here, contact one of the Administrators, or message me in one of the following ways: AIM - Ch1gg1n5 YIM - jon_bob60 MSN - ch1gg1ns@hotmail.com Email - chris.ch1gg1ns@gmail.com If you have advanced experience with XHTML Strict, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, Photoshop, or Flash, and want to help out, contact one of us. What We Will Need Does anyone have a computer that is hooked up to the internet and on 24/7 that we could use for a source server? This will be used so that everybody involved with the project will have access to the source files, either through FTP of CVS. ---------------------- If you are interested with the project, post the following information in this thread. Language Experience: (XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc) Programs You Use: (Adobe Dreamweaver, phpEd, Homesite, etc) Examples Of Work Done: (Just anything you have done that you think would be good to share) Contact Information: (AIM, YIM, MSN, Email, etc) ----------------------- Now, although we would appreciate any help, the framework that I'm going to write will be very complex. I'm planning on making multiple classes for just about everything. Like one for posts, one for threads, etc. I also plan on using the Smarty template engine for the site as well. ----------------------- If you plan on wanting to learn a web language that was mentioned, I would recommend looking at W3Schools. So far its going slow, but its going. Its also being fully documented, so it shouldn't be TOO hard to use or understand. Any takers?

May I just suggest making the background of the site a lighter color though? This dark grey kills my eyes... I find that typically most boards use a light color for the background and darker colors for the text. Personally, I think that's just a better, more professional way to do things. But hey, it's up to you guys I guess. Best of luck Monkey!
