Mom!? Posts: 86 Group: Admin Member #5 Joined: January 10, 2008	Now heres a classic debate. The Playstation 3 versus the X-Box 360. Now, I have neither, so I feel that I can be the happy medium between the two. From what I have seen, graphically the PS3 looks better, and I like the options of games they have. I've been a PS fanboy for a while, and of the two I think it basically cleans up the better of the two. On the otherhand, I like the way X-Box Live is done. The NXE looks promising, and the arcade games look like fun little distractions. But, what I don't like about XBL is the fact you need to pay for it. You already need to pay for your internet service, why pay more for playing games over it. Playstation Online being free almost completely wins me over on the online gaming part of the consoles because its free. But, with the online access being free, you need to drop a lot of money for a Playstation 3. Its much more expensive than the 360, which causes me to look more towards the 360 if i wanted a new console, because I'm about to start college, where I need all the money I can get. Now, what are your own options about the consoles. Try to be mature about this, and don't post statements like "360 sux because M$ sux"

Finally, came back 10/03/08 <3 Posts: 821 Group: Members Member #11 Joined: January 12, 2008	I have neither as well. PS3- Graphics are definately High-quality, Price ehh not so great. Blue-ray definately comes in handy, it just cost Sony. They lose money with each Ps3 sold. XBOX360- Definately got the games to back up the software. Comes in a reasonable size, so it give a comfy fit to places. Got XBOX live so you can talk to friends.

My friend told me that some games don't have vertical synchronisation on ps3. Just awesome games like Metal gear solid are reason to buy ps3. But you know, he told me...not my opinion. I can say mine: I have x360 elite and it's fine. I had white premium version, but gave it away. Only Elite version is right one. If you have awesome, big, LCD screen you really enjoy it. I play in max res. in full HD. Games look nicer than on the pictures from gamespot. I give you an example. When i saw running Bladestorm in gamestore, it looked quite ugly. When i play it home, it's got nice colours and picture is very sharp. You see everything what can't be seen in gamestore. So some summary? I'm glad i have x360 elite and i'll buy ps3 in future, because i wanna play MGS 4.

With new update is posssible instal entire game to your harddrive. So i tried just some, but with surprising results. Firstly, my love- Ninja Gaiden II. Loading is pretty fast and game runs faster. It's like if you play a PC game and set lower resolution. But in this case i tested it in full HD 1920x ?? (i don't remember numbers ;)) So ninja runs like lighting. And this was all for yesterday. If i start play NGII i can't simply stop. Has anybody tried some other game? What's your opinion? Edited by judge, Nov 20 2008, 07:10 AM.

I have both systems and I can say that the PS3 wins it for me. The PS3 offers everything in one package while the 360 comes seperate as an excuse to get more money, such as wireless and such. The Internet and gold membership costs a fortune while the PS3's Internet and online gaming is all free and the PS3 comes with everything which is why it costs so much to begin with but it's worth the money believe me. Both are roughly the same in terms of graphics but I find that the 360 can sometimes crash pretty often while the PS3 has only crashed a few times.

Yeah maybe just wireless network adapter, which i don't need...someone maybe want it. About crashing i must say that: when i had premium x, it crashes often. Drive had problems... Now my elite works perfectly. Maybe i have above average piece, but all is fine. No freezing, crashing,.. just sometimes xlive is like "before sleep". But this problem could solve faster internet con.so actually i think my x is the best working console i've ever had. But like you told me before, if is possible play ps2 games on ps3, then i want it. So maybe i will have it soon. we'll see.

As for a PS3, it isn't really worth it cause I have no games to back it up, I don't watch DVDs alot and the only game I would play for it is th possibility of Kingdom Hearts 3.

U must also consider if u wanna play games like kingdom under fire, n3, dead or alive4, ninja gaiden 2(sigma for ps3 is just remake older one for xbox),forza 2, pgr 4, Tenchu, Kengo, Dead Rising, Warriors Orochi 2 :)... . These games are just for x360. PS3 has one great game MGS4, but Soul Calibur 4 is for both platforms, Bladestorm, Virtua Fighter 5 too, ...etc. If i speak for myself. I have just two reasons to buy ps3- genji 2, MGS4, also maybe Ninja gaiden sigma- but i've said it's just remake old xbox version. That's all for me.
