Nobody replies.:( So sorry Martin for double-posting, but i wanna some reply in my topic. Maybe somebody will join me and share his opinion. Cause this forum seems to me sometimes dead....but why? FOR ME is Virtua Fighter 5 the very best fighting game ever. DoA4 is quite hard too, but u can play it by smashing buttons and beat it. Prove of this was my participation in xlive tournaments. My live profile has just few achievements, so guys picked me up for tournament. But they were beaten...what a surprise... VF has very nice graphic and some characters are not for beginners. I love it. So that's all for the moment...your turn

I'd have to disagree with you there, I preferred DoA to VF. As much as I think Team Ninja are a bunch of egotistical idiots, DoA is a reasonable game. Alright, lets forget about the ridiculously bouncy boobs and the girls. The engine itself is pretty hard to master, I hear lots of people who talk about getting through the game by just button mashing, but all of my friends who play me who are beginners find it very difficult to beat me because i'm pretty quick on the counters, and mashing buttons generally means you're only pulling out the same two or three combos and you become very predictable, ESPECIALLY when you're fighting against some of the harder computer opponents, if you're button mashing it will let you know... Because it will counter more or less every attack you do. Now this isn't to say VF isn't a good game, I played it, wasn't for me but I don't hate it. Personally I found the engine for VF really... Stiff! (For lack of a better word) I found it hard to get the fighters to do almost anything with fluidity and although the game aims for realism I found myself perfecting lots of opponents with the same foot sweeps, and the tactics the computer uses are like... "Eh?" Like I was saying though, it isn't a bad game, it just wasn't for me. I still think there's a hell of a lot that could be done to DoA to make it like a million times better (Like Team Ninja pulling their heads out of their arses and just generally not making everyone look crap compared to Ryu Hayabusa.) but it definitely has potential. And now that Tomonobu Itagaki has left i'm kinda hoping if the series does continue they'll actually put someone in charge who wants to actually improve the game, not just throw in two extra characters and make the boobs more bouncy and expect people to just love it... <.< Well, that's my personal view anyway. I'm probably gonna get flamed now, so i'm gonna hide! |

I agree with you in some points. I just wanna say what i didn't write before. It's pretty easy use counter attacks in Doa4. So it's reason why i beat almoust everyone i meet on xlive. VF5 is more difficult, if you play against high-ranked opponent- above 10th dan. |
