~~~~~~~~~Gil's Picks~~~~~~~~~~ Every year my family and I go to the Celtic Fling at the PA Renaissance Faire and before every Fling I check and see what bands will be playing. I look up some of their songs so I can gauge what bands I want to see and can properly plan out my schedule before I go. Enter the Haggis was scheduled to be at the 2007 Celtic Fling so I looked them up on Myspace and they had some songs to download (Gasoline, Another Round, Twirling Towards Freedom) I absolutely fell in love with the band from those songs. When we actually saw them at the Fling they didn't seem quite as good but I know that's only because of the stage they had. You have to be a really big band to play a good set at the Chess Arena. Plus the stage also sucks for photographers because it's hard to get close enough to get good pictures especially when there are people dancing on the chess board. We only stayed for a few songs before my family wanted to move on. I would have stayed for the whole set but I didn't want to be there by myself. |
