ACCEPTED RACES

Here is a master list of any accepted races that you are welcome to play. Please remember that once you pick a race, you are to then make up a special and unique breed that sets your character apart. Please keep in mind that:

1) There are NO overpowered races. In this world nobody can survive a gunshot to the head. Nobody can punch someone over a building. Nobody can create a fireball blast big enough to burn down a forest. The abilities and powers creatures have are really toned down and must be used in clever ways to be useful.

2) Forget all stereotypes you've heard throughout your life. Silver bullets aren't the only thing that can kill a werewolf. A stake to the heart isn't the only thing that can murder a vampire. Those races also can't change humans by biting them. The ONLY way to change races is for a human to bond with one.

3) While everyone dislikes humans, there is also racism in this world. Some creatures hate certain races for being too animalistic or having violent tendencies.

4) The "example breeds" are just ideas I'm getting from the top of my head to show you what some different breeds might be able to do. It's up to YOU to come up with your own specific ability (though feel free to take any ideas that are already on the list).

HUMANS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Humans are the "blank slate" race. Physically, they are the "default" where many races have advantages and disadvantages when it comes to strength, speed, and senses. Think of them as the starter character for a video game. If you wanna move one physical enhancement up it means taking points away from another stat. So while many races have strengths, they also have disadvantages. Without using abilities or powers a fight against a human is fair. They are not helpless. They are the only ones with the ability to act as a host to any race. Majority of creatures hate them.

VOIDS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Voids are creatures who have lost their race. Many voids report having bad cramps, excessive tiredness, depression, shortened lifespans, pain, headaches, shaky hands and trembles, weakness, insomnia, and other negative side effects for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, unlike humans, creatures can ONLY bond with the race they were born with. If they are not given the specific race that was taken from them, they'll be cursed to suffer being a void for the rest of their days. Voids are ghosts of their former selves and it's a terrible sad fate to have to watch someone go through. Many creatures find themselves holding a deep hatred for humans when one of their loved ones have been voided.

MAGES
Spoiler: click to toggle
When you think of mages, think Avatar: The Last Airbender. Mages in this world can control or creature a single object, and aside from a few little perks that all of them share. It's really just one specialty each mage has. There are many private schools set up all around the country designed specifically for mages. Magic is no joke and it's an important thing to learn how to control properly. Many mages who are not placed into these specialty schools have difficulty controlling their powers, hurt themselves or loved ones, and end up arrested when they accidentally cause arisen/injuries. Especially when they are feeling emotional.

WITCHES
Spoiler: click to toggle
Witches are amazing innovators who's magical abilities go hand-in-hand with inanimate objects and technology. They are some of the world's best engineers. While they are not your stereotypical witch and don't cast many magical spells - they are able to bless, curse, and modify any plain old item to make it something brand new. They are the ones who create the magical ink used for the human identification codes.

TRANSMUTERS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Transmuters are designed to transform into a single animal at will. They change drastically from breed to breed because of this. Some are animalistic that don't have much control over themselves at times (like werewolves), while others are tame as can be (like lycans).

SHAPESHIFTERS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Shapeshifters and transmuters are fairly similar. Shapeshifters cannot change into an animal completely, but they can change to multiple things. While transmuters change into an animal, shapeshifters can only change parts of their body.

FAIRIES
Spoiler: click to toggle
Fairies are one of the few races that have such a wide variety. Technically, any race that has wings is classified as a fae. This means demonic creatures who are simply born with brain structures causing them to have psychopathic tenancies and be sadistic by nature. This means angels who are born with a very nurturing personality. Some faes are very tricky, manipulative, or mischievous. Others are caring and calm.

ELVES
Spoiler: click to toggle
Elves are a very graceful race that are built a bit shorter and on the thin side. They make up some of the best parkour and freerunners in the world. Many elves have a heightened intelligence where schoolwork comes easy and memorization takes little effort on their part.

NYMPHS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Nymphs are one of the hardest races of void since they can be almost impossible to hold onto when they turn to water and slip between your fingers. They are able to transform into, and change objects into an element.

SYLTHS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Sylths are a close cousin to nymphs. Instead of being able to transform other objects into the element they can shift to, sylths have other small magical abilities or enhancements.

GHOULS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Ghouls are creatures that are a bit shunned due to their cannibalistic need for food. While they don't need to eat often, they need to eat lots. The government has set up facilities where ghouls may go once every two weeks to eat, but it's not uncommon for them to go rogue and attend illegal feeding banks or crime to satisfy their hunger.

VAMPIRES
Spoiler: click to toggle
Every vampire needs blood on occasion to survive (they need real food too!). Fortunately, blood is not addictive and most just might feel slightly annoyed and on edge when they start getting hungry. Vampires are given blood by the government three times a week. You can have your monthly blood shipped right to your door! While most people do not mind vampires, they are known to have a huge drug problem flowing through their race. A blood-based drug called ichor hit the streets just over 60 years ago and has been creating a problem for vampires ever since. The portion of vampires that get sucked into the drug are known to start craving blood, suffering withdraws, acting violent and even turning to crime.

WENDIGOS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Animalistic and gruesome by nature, wendigos are cannibalistic creatures that live off flesh and blood. They are one of the few races that many people may despise other than humans since such a large portion of them are savages. The government offers facilities that serve them the raw flesh they crave, but many complain that it's never enough.

DJINNS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Dijnns are a creature that are known as "dream walkers". When someone is in their grasp they can have full control over the person's dreams, often finding things the individual desires and being able to grant it to them in dream-form. They can produce a secretion that can be administered to an individual through touch. They make fantastic therapists and are one of the only things known to stop nightmares caused by a wendigo. While many may want to help people with their abilities, other can use it to easily manipulate or use for their own gain.

SHADOW STALKERS
Spoiler: click to toggle
Shadow stalkers are an interesting race that have a close connection to the shadows people pass every day. They can interact with these shadows.
