RULES & GUIDELINES Hello! Hopefully you're in the right place. Here we will discuss the acceptable way to behave and what is allowed or not on this site. We want everyone's roleplay experience to be a positive one. This means obeying staff members, moderators, and respecting the people you are roleplaying with on a daily basis. Failure to follow the rules can result in: ● Restriction in posting privileges. ● Having a character removed or deleted. ● Being banned permanently. |

CODE OF CONDUCT ● Be respectful towards your fellow roleplayers. This rule is self explanatory. While your character can be the biggest asshole on the planet, you may not. Glassborough is a place people can come to relax and enjoy complex stories that keep them engaged. They are here for their character's drama. Not yours. ● Literacy level. This site is designed for people who can read and write at a mature level. If you are uncomfortable writing up 6OO words each post or multiple paragraphs scare you then you aren't going to have a good time. When you put people who are on extremely different levels it makes a big gap that can cause people to easily become bored or overwhelmed. So if I see someone who is dramatically at a different literacy level I will politely ask you to leave the site and find someone that better suits you. ● NC-17. This website is not only for mature writers, but it will have some mature content and plots going on. If you are going to do any twisted threads with extremely graphic content, nudity, or ideas that may be disturbing you must have a short warning in either the "Topic Description" or a small note before your first post. People deserve to get a heads up before they walk in on something bad. ● Do not godmode without permission. By godmode, I do not just mean "controlling another character's actions". Please do not put anyone's character in a situation they don't want to be in. Before beating the crap out of someone's character make sure to ask out of character first. Before you run up and slam a syringe in someone's arm make sure they are okay with it. Just before any psycho ideas make sure both parties are aware OOCly so they have a choice before anything significant happens. ● Listen to shop rules. Everyone who gets accepted to own a store, club, brothel, fighting ring, or any other type of business will be given their own subfourm. This area is designed for them and they can create their own rules for the place (both IC or OOC rules). Some may have staff members they allow you to godmode. Some may require you to request staff in your threads. Some may have off-limit places. Follow the rules they give. Repeat offenders will be banned from the shop location if you give the owner any problems. |

CHARACTER CREATION RULES ● Crime. You may have a character that is a drug dealer, has committed a few murders in their past, commits violent crimes like assault, participates in prostitution, but you may not have a character that plays a large influence on crime without first having permission. The people who are running large operations and have their names on the map need to really understand what is going on. To learn more about the types of crimes that go on in the city feel free to check out: CRIME INFORMATION. ● Businesses. You may create a character that owns any legal businesses or works at any businesses that you create, though they will not have their own subfourms and be official locations of the site without first being accepted. You may make threads located at your place of business in the normal locations around the city when it's needed without a subfourm of your own. ● Abilities & Powers. There is no set number of abilities and power you are limited to, however, we will not accept characters that seem too overpowered. If you have a lame character that's abilities are: "Controlling ink on paper" or "can make their fingernails glow" feel free to add a few extra. If you have something that can be used in a cheap way please be sure you have weaknesses to balance it out. |
