Laws; Laws So You Don't Get Jailed

Welcome to the laws of Glassborough city! The follow rules are in place that your character must follow or face the risk of being arrested. This does NOT mean you have to follow them, but I certainly want everyone to understand the setting and know how bad some of the crimes are that they might be committing a little carelessly. Prostitution.
The city does not allow sex in exchange for money. Anyone found involved in prostitution can face jail time and fines. Repeat offenders might have to serve a sentence.

Murder.
Murder is one of the worst crimes you can be committing. If you are linked to a murder you are likely to face at least 25 years in prison. As for humans: They will immediately be handed off to the slaver division.

Stealing Races.
Voiding another creature is inhumane and a terrible form of torture. Anyone connected to voiding a creature is likely to face at least 25 years in prison. As for humans: They will immediately be handed off to the slaver division.

Possession of a stolen race.
If any race is found, you are expected to immediately hand it over to the authorities so they can find it's rightful owner. Any creatures found with a race that does not belong to them can face up to 8 years in prison (typically 2-4 with a proper legal approach). Humans will immediately be assumed for voiding a creature and be handed over to the slaver division.

Possession of illegal substances.
Drugs are illegal. If you are found under the influence you can be taken to jail for the night and sent home with a fine the next morning. Repeat offenders can face up to 2 years in prison.

Selling drugs.
If you are found with an amount of drugs that's not longer considered "personal use" you can spend up to 15 years in prison.

Arsen
Anyone found destructing public property can face up to 5 years in prison.

Public indecency.
Exposing yourself in public can result in a fine and spending a night or two in jail.[/justify]
