Locations Docks: The docks make up a large part of eastern Ashtown. Ashtown gets most of its income from trading and fishing, as well by being a middle man for ships coming and going from other countries. Floodside: Whilst canals are frequent in Ashtown, Floodside takes this a bit too far. After an unfortunate accident (origins unknown), a small section of southeastern Ashtown suffered severe damage and flooding, resulting in a partially submerged section of the city. The water has been blocked in, but the area there is now uninhabited by the public. Very few sai go there without good reason. House of Office: Here is where Thatcher and his colleges work. It's a rather dismal building that looks more like a prison than anything else. The brick fence surrounding it doesn't help that image. Ashtown Museum of Natural History and Anthropology: Not a large museum, but a museum nonetheless. The ground floor is dedicated to natural history, whilst the first floor is dedicated to the history of Ashtown and its inhabitants. Oceanic Aquarium: The coastal location of Ashtown leads to the presence of a regularly changing and rather impressive aquarium. Somehow it has remained undamanged throughout its lifetime, even with the presence of sai. The locals say that it is guarded by someone or something- either that, or their aquarium is very very lucky. Ashtown University: Focusing on science and engineering, the university of Ashtown is known for its high acceptance rates. Due to the percieved isolation of Ashtown, it isn't uncommon for entire family trees to have studied there. |

I mentioned older, run down south docks in my character profile. Is that ok? Or should we not make new places, even in early stages? |

I guess you could say they are docks closer towards Floodside. |

So will every character eventually have their homes listed with the areas of the city? |

Eventually, if their house locations are known to people. |

I thought you guys could use somewhat better information on where you're located: Jón Aegisson: Docks, on eastern side of the city. About 30 minute walk from Floodside. Access to ferrys, hotels, and nearby transport. Aasha Ashdown: Hotel near the Docks- about a 15-20 minute walk to the docks, though the docks are long so finding Jón would be hard. Not near any specific landmarks. Rose Cale: To the northwest of Ashtown's centre (i.e. west of the museum), on farming land/woodland. Would have to get a car, taxi, or bus into Ashtown; either journey would take time- maybe an hour at the least. Kalena Clarr: Central- like, very central. Almost right in the middle. Would be able to see the canals of Ashtown, as well as the central water feature there. Not near any specific landmarks. Daniel David & Fredrick Rhinehart: West of the museum, in a nice-ish housing estate. Rhinehart's presence is known there. They have a reasonable sized garage and basement. Traveling from the estate into bigger city sections is doable, but doing so sneakily is hard. Adam Evans: Currently in a homeless centre. Somewhat nearer the House of Office than anywhere else, but it still takes him a while to get there. Jane Gate: On the opposite side of the city centre to Kalena. Taxis are available, and she can afford them to the House of Office, Museum, and Aquarium. Due to a lack of money (online journalism doesn't pay too well at the moment), transport is hard and somewhat limited. Tarquin: Was originally very near the Museum, but current location is unknown to him for now. Anthony Romano: Southern Ashtown, west of Floodside. Your company uses a couple floors of a skyscraper-ish building (what are short skyscrapers called?), and you basically live and sleep in one of the upper floors (which are converted into apartments). Victor Scheele: South Manga Solutions, in a busy part of the city. The electricity you generate there isn't too noticeable when most lights are left on outside buildings 24/7. Transport of the suit is difficult here, so a vehicle may need to be obtained unless you're in no rush. Darko Vrana: West of the centre of Ashtown, somewhere near the edges of the city. Near Manga Solutions, meaning you can get to work via a 10 minute car drive. Sina Wolff: Currently on the outskirts of Floodside. Due to the location and sectioning of Floodside, few places are reachable from here by foot. |
