I'm finally going to start up that roleplaying thing I've been talking about. For those of you unfamiliar with roleplaying games (RPGs), I'll explain what one is first. An RPG is a story told by the game master in which each of the players controls a character that acts on his own. It's like one of those Choose Your Own Adventure books only with much more freedom. Instead of being presented with one or two options you'll be able to react however you want. I'm going to start off with a simple story. It'll be set in the present. It'll be a zombie survival one. Here is a webcomic that illustrates kind of what it'll be like. I imagine it'll have less swearing and other objectionable content though. Because of the nature of the game, we won't have much in the way of mechanics. For those of you unfamiliar with RPGs, don't worry. For those of you who've played RPGs before, realize that you won't see anything like the following: "I'm going to attack the level 9 forest troll with my +11 axe of smiting. You'll need to roll 3d6 against his resilience. The air temperature is 3 degrees above normal today, with 27% humidity. That gives me a -2.711 advantage." We'll be relying more on common sense than math. It will be played on this forum and you'll do one thing per day. We won't have to be online at the same time, but it'll go fairly slowly.
