Allen sees a woman walking past, towards the bathroom. She doesn’t appear to be bleeding or bitten. Allen had been waiting in the gas station nearly 20 hours, afraid to sleep, just waiting to meet up with a fellow circus performer who doesn’t seem to be coming. “I can’t keep this up much longer. Maybe I should see what that chick is going to do.” Allen starts to creep out from hiding place, but hears the woman scream and instead crouches down even further beside the refrigerator. Quite glad at having done this when two more people walk in the door. |
