It's annoying to have characters go into a world the reader is familiar with and be like "oh, all this stuff is cool! Oh, what does this do?" Or worse, describe in very simple yet specific details what they're seeing, so you're having to figure out what they're describing. Of course, when all of that isn't happening, and characters you would expect to be totally mystefied are actually seemingly familiar with their new surroundings, critics call it a plot hole. Oh well. I have a shovel.

You know, I'm going to finish that phrase when we get to the appropriate chapter. I don't want to spoil anything. Not that there's anything to spoil.
