Administratinator Posts: 1,740 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: 20 December 2007	By popular request I present to you: The Condensed History of These Forums In the beginning there was Godlimations, a site for Christian animations and games. The site was made by Patrick Majewski, great is his wisdom and valor. It was a site that brought joy to the masses. But there was a problem. In the ancient age, before December 2007, the Godlimations site was a dark place, with only a guestbook for visitors to log comments on. It was a chaotic time, without organized topic threads, comment moderation, or any note of civilization. One day, a discussion popped up, and this discussion involved a better way of life for everyone. The suggestion bounced around a few times until a hero came along who not only agreed with the suggestion but offered to create a series of forums. The leader had the qualifications necessary to undertake this task, namely (A) a cursory knowledge of a website that offers free forums and more importantly (B) nothing better to do. After many, many, minutes of excruciating work, the forums were born. This hero was named His Drunkenness. He was not Patrick, a thousand praises be unto his name. Instead, this Drunkenness person was a fan, someone who appreciated the work that Patrick, may the years of his life be a thousand and one, was doing. His Drunkenness sought to help in this work whereever possible. The site started off slow, with only a handful of people, a small community of fans. Since it was user-based, the number of threads and sections increased, games were added, and slowly the skeleton of a site began to grow organs, tissues, and flesh. It became a living being, a fully formed website. Originally, the forums were maintained mostly by Drunkenness. Now, hebegan to see a problem on another forum he visited: malicious spam bots. These bots were not only posting spam, they were posting pornographic pictures in the threads. Drunky was afraid that this plague would infect the Godlimations forums. He saw another member of the forums who had the qualifications necessary to be a good moderator on the site (i.e. nothing better to do), and appointed him as a moderator. If anyone has anything they'd like to add, make a reply in this thread. There's probably some parts of these forums history that slipped my mind. The main thing I want to add that I haven't is the incident with the spam bots and Noble's promotion to admin. Plus, I'll probably mention a bit about some of the original members who've been here since close to day 1.
