:welcome: Thyll and TeamDialla7426! Hope you like it here at Godlimations. You should join some of the Forum Games, they're fun :)

I apologize if I made it seem like i meant that it is impossible to live a good life with people who have a different view on religion, I just tried to emphasize that I think it would not be wise to enter a relationship thinking one will convert the other person to your own religion. Also I think that if one wants to make sure not to have one's own religious dogmas challenged or changed, it is unwise to spend to much time with people that do not share those dogmas.

My pastor would have a field day with the two comments before yours conc. Oh yeah, I made you my rival on Pokemon SoulSilver, in fact, almost everyone from the forums is on there.

And TeamDialla.... I would... suggest you ask your best friend and her girlfriend to reconsider their religions... and their religious texts....

Teamdialla, I would recommend you don't follow Luemas's advice. Do you really think their relationship would benefit from your meddling?

The fact that they're both members of SOME abrahamic religion is a start... some religions are just incompatible by definition. For example, a Christian and a Satanist would be a disaster.

Was I the only reason who caught what she said? It may have been a mistype, but I'm pretty sure she said her best friend, a she was GIRLFRIEND to a christian.

That... is against christian and jewish texts, as they are both, very very similar.

Okay, this might be what Luemas was pointing out, but I'm not sure.

Great, then I'm back on track :)

Oh, and I assume that one needs to be Christian in order to be a Satanist? Otherwise, where would one get the idea of Satan from?

Islam maybe?

there's also the concept of the Adversary in Judaism as well (but I don't think its made out to be the same thing as in Christianity).

I think Wicca has a Horned God, which I've heard as representing some aspects of Satan, but I could be wrong (and I wouldn't want to offend any Wiccans here with my ignorance).

Then there's the idea of Satan as a symbol, not strictly a deity, for the ideal of having whatever it is you desire - by hook or crook.

... In case you're wondering, I have a few goth friends

In Islam it would be an Iblisist I guess. And having horns does not make you Satan any more than having a fingerprint makes you human (check out koala-prints). Also, though "satan" means "adversary", worshiping someone who is someone else's adversary does not make you a satanist. The Norse Gods had adversaries (Jotner) which were worshiped, but it would be a real stretch to call them satanists. Satan is a mythological figure that appears in the Bible. I may stand corrected on the Jews though, I'll give you that one :) .

That depends on what you would call evil. I once had to empty a jar of tomato-sauce that had been left open for two months. At the time I clearly labeled the content as "evil". If this is what you mean by evil, then I have at least seen and smelled its presence (I did not want to feel it. It was really gross).
