This was the flashback Marian had toward the beginning of the game. It was about page 8 or 9. It was when Cameron was still our story teller. Most of the new players might not have seen it so I decided to post it here. Marian tossed and turned. "You can't do that," she had told him, "It has never been fully tested." "I don't care what the results say. I will rise him from the dead." "I know you were close to your brother, but don't defy the laws of nature. He's in a better place and you will see him again." "He died too young." "Because God had a plan for him and for you. Please understand this is unethical. "You and your God. I'm do it and you will help me." That's when Marian made the desicion. "No I won't because I quit." He turned and looked sternly at her. It was the same look that got her into this mess. That got he into something that she could not escape. But she looked back. She was serious and she wanted out. Finally the staring contest stopped. "Drop off your ID and key on your way out." He then turned to the security guard standing beside him. "Lock the doors behind her," he said, "I don't want word getting out" Marian left, but took the key with her. She was the only one to walkout. Only she held this secret and knew for sure what was truely going on. She had stayed, standing there, not believing what she had done. Then the screams began. Her coworkers had beaten aganist the bullet-proof windows, trying to get out. Her boss's laughter, barely visable over the screams, sounded awful. Marian woke and sat up with a start. She curled her knees up to her chin. "Why me?"she asked herself. She could still hear the screams. What she didn't know was they were real |
