our mothers have always told us girls to save ourselves for marriage. But is it okay with the one you know youre going to marry, like your fiance?

(dude hands her some ranch packets)
Me-OH THANK YOU ALMIGHTY RANCH GIVER!

My mother to my bro-You need to find a nice girl and settle down. An Italian girl! And no Sicilians! If I find out you’re marrying a Sicilian I’ll beat you to death with my slippers!

Nope.
Still a sin.
No where in the bible does it say, "Well, if you really really want to with your fiance, I guess it's ok."
It says, "THOU ART UN FORNICATOR AND SINNER!"
Ok maybe not that but...
I"M REALLY TIRED!

This may be a little late, but as said by the others, sex before marriage is a sin.

Sex with anyone who isn't your spouse is adultery, even if that person is your fiancé.
Your fiancé is not your spouse until marriage.

Adultery: voluntary sexual intercourse between a married man and someone other than his wife
or between a married woman and someone other than her husband

I do not believe it is a sin. Adultery doesn't apply when it is before marriage, as, unless you don't know, neither associated party is married. Then, it's just sex. I don't see why people think that it is a sin, it is as much a part of your daily life as eating and breathing, regardless. And even if it is a sin, I was under the impression that God is willing to forgive us our sins.
Link to my original story. Will be updated whenever I get inspiration for a new chapter, which is fairly frequently. King Nothing

ALSO! Yes, I ship Shinji/Asuka. Sue me. If you know ANYTHING about the series, then Shinji/Rei is disturbing on far too many levels. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, it's Neon Genesis Evangelion, and you should watch it.

Oh boy oh boy.....

Sorry pal- sex out of wedlock is adultery- it doesn't have to be with someone who's married, or even... I don't know, TWO people who are married.

Point is, you're having sex when not married to the person, and the sex is not intended for procreation.... thus:

That's right folks, you guessed it:

IT'S A SIN!!!!!!!

Thank you for playing, better luck next time.

So if you have sex outside of marriage, but it IS intended for procreation, the the Bible does not consider it a sin?

Sex is one of the staples of marriage. Waiting for marriage is what makes it special. If you go around whoring it up with everyone you meet it loses it's appeal. Eventually you don't even want to have sex for practical reasons. Plus the whole deadly disease thing comes in.

Nope, I was just putting that "and the sex is not intended for procreation" to show the added gravity. Whether the sex is for procreation or not, it is still a sin.

So if you have sex with your wife without the intent of procreation it's a sin?

I would guess so. Just like the passage about Onan in the Bible, where God punishes him for not impregnating his dead brothers wife.

Nope, unless you use contraception to prevent procreation. The way for it not to be a sin is to use the cycle system, where you have sex only when your wife isn't ovulating, so as not to have children.

That way, you're not using contraception, and you're married. Covering both bases.

And @ Concor:

Hush you. Look up Spontaneous generation. Science ain't always right bub.

Wait, I don't get it. Both physical contraceptions and the cycle system (as well as Onan's "Jumping off in the last turn"-technique) are ways to have intercourse while still trying not to get pregnant. The intentions are the same. The only difference is your chances of succeeding. Why would God favor the one who built his house upon sand?

And how is spontaneous generation related to this? Genesis 38:8-10 makes it pretty clear we are not talking about a virgin birth here :)

And as far as I see it, science is never "right". It is a method for finding better answers the more you investigate something, thereby giving us better and better answers each one being more "right" than the previous one. But that is really another topic :D

eh, I can agree that it isn't adultery but it is the sin of fornication.
oh and sex is not a part of everyone's daily life. have you ever met a single person?
or a couple that wants to wait?
i have.
I'm not trying to be over critical or offensive I'm just sayin'...
