As I understand the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, the Flying Spaghetti Monster gave us pasta to eat and partake in his noodly goodness.

in fact, in declaration of truth they even say Ramen.

You make a good point, my young Hornologians. Perhaps one should think twice before tempting one's senses with a surreptitious string of spaghetti?

Pray tell, Arazec, what makes you think so?

Maybe, you should ask the Flying Spaghetti Monster to lay his noodly appendage upon you and lift the eye-patch from your eye.

If we're all wrong then we're all right, and we know the flying spaghetti monster is not right, so therefore, we are not all wrong, because we are right!

Atheism is very contradictory there whole belief is an oxy-moron They congregate to believe in not believing stuff taught in congregations or groups of religious people. Isn't what they fight not to believe in what they are doing when they don't believe in it?

Sorry if anyone is confused but I could go into more detail so you can get what I am saying if you don't get what I am saying.

Wow this is majorally confusing.

Apologies Apologies

Forgive me...that should be easy 'nuff to understand.

their belief is to not believe in a belief. therefore, they should be using their torrents of endless arguing on other atheists, who believe in not believing. unless you're a nihilist and believe that none of this is real, concolor...

Hey, my name is mentioned :)

Are you guys saying atheism (that is "not believing in a personal God") is a religion in the same way not collecting stamps is a hobby?

I would agree that not believing in something is a belief (others may not agree on this). Just like not believing in the loch-ness monster is a belief (I must confess to be an a-nessyist, are you?)

I must admit I do get a little confused by triple negations being used in a sentence though :D So I wouldn't mind if you took the time to spell it out for me Godzilla :)

Ah, I think people here have touched on an interesting paradox, and one worth exploring.

"All beliefs should be based on reason." I've heard. The question is, what reason should that belief itself be based on?
- To answer that, I simply look at the discovery of Helicobacter pylori the bacteria that causes stomach ulcers: a pretty good reason to believe in the power of reason. The next question is should beliefs be based on only reason? I tend to answer yes, but I'm not definite.

So: I ask everyone present: present the reason why you believe in what you do. If you also feel like stating the reasons for not believing in things you don't, go for it (although, if we make an exhaustive list, we could be here a while)
