 yeah well i know some ppl consider themselves animals but giraffes dont praise and worship and you dont see a bunch of koalas lighting fires and hanging around chanting trying to make a conection with God.....

How could he call the first day a day?
He made light, the presence of light was day, the lack of it night. It didn't need to be named as stars or moon or sun or such, it just needed light.
yes the presence of light was day but it will be just like lighting up a candle in a closed room
The light will divide itself from the dark but it will not move
You can only look for him in the Dark

for my mother said that my cousins dog commited suicide of starvation after his master said that they are going to other country and he will be kept to another master
poor dog :'(

A day was really just light coming and going.

 My guess is, and this is just speculation, is so that we could still operate at night if need be, because if it became total darkness at night, that would rather complicate things. Or maybe it was so that we could organize our time into months and years.
Light gives us a day
The moon gives us months
Stars give us years.
