Uh...wasn't it part of the job that God specifically sent him to do?

God: "You (which is me)! Go down to earth and die because Adam and Eve ate a fruit before they knew right from wrong, and by killing myself in human form this will make things right."
Jesus: "Yes dad. Shucks dad (I mean me), you're so strict."

 right on nice to see you with your thinking cap on Conc... !

You know about Rebellion-the Trinity, well you got 2/3rds of it -Gods plan of redemption-the lamb of God-sacrifical Love and santification....

The main prob i have is Jesus wouldnt say "Yes dad. Shucks dad (I mean me), you're so strict."
it woulda been more like
"yes dad.i know theres an easy way outta this but its your will not mine that i choose"

and its a little hard to nail yourself to a cross and flog yourself so id have to dissagree with you on that one too

but yeah come to think of it does not say that Adam and Eve didnt know right from wrong in the Garden - because God specifically warned and forbide them to NOT EAT from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.....

That's quite the paradox, having to eat from the tree to know not to eat from the tree.... but humans were given a mechanism called: COMMON SENSE that tells them that it's unwise to disobey the thing that made you. That's same problem today that it was millions of years ago. No one uses common sense.

I quite honestly think it's a lot harder to be your own son, so I wouldn't be surprised by a little self-flogging. After all is not God in the hearts of men who do his will?

But he IS his dad, so it's HIS OWN will he's choosing to obey.

And how were they supposed to know that it was good to do as they were told and evil to disobay God before they ate of the fruit? And why on earth did he put the tree of Life (in addition to the tree of Knowledge) there if he knew the beings he created could not be trusted in the first place?

Doesn't common sense require knowledge?

I thought it was knowledge of good AND evil?

Sure they knew that God had told them not to eat from the tree, but how would they know that it would be evil not to follow his command?

Because if they don't know that it's good to follow God's command, they can easily be convinced that it's good to disobey his command and eat the fruit.

If I don't know that it's bad to eat poison, and someone gives me poison and tell me to eat it, what's stopping me from doing something bad?

And what do you need to make such a decition? You need to know if it's good to be obedient or not.
