If you knew what the point of life was, would you go on living?
Humans have a constant ambition to find oput the meaning of life, like the habit of wanting to find shelter or food. We have instincts like that, and even if you've given up, it'sw somewhere inside you, because obviously, you haven't committed suicide yet

I'm going on living, anyway. I have tried suicide. Not so fun, though. It wasn't that long ago either.

Seriously? I thought I mentioned it already.

Why? Because I have a bunch of shi*t going on and I don't wanna have to care about it. Lets just say taking a bunch of pills isn't the most efficient way of killing yourself.

Mmmmhm and im supposed to believe this....
There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, "Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!"
The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces.
"Don't cry 'wolf', shepherd boy," said the villagers, "when there's no wolf!" They went grumbling back down the hill.
Later, the boy sang out again, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!" To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away.
When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, "Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don't cry 'wolf' when there is NO wolf!"
But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more.
Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, "Wolf! Wolf!"
But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn't come.
At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn't returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping.
"There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, "Wolf!" Why didn't you come?"
An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village.
"We'll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning," he said, putting his arm around the youth, "Nobody believes a liar...even when he is telling the truth!"

Okay, you don't have to believe it. I know what happened, that's enough. That was quite funny, though.

And...

Well then. I certainly understand your premonitions of an unfair God.
Although, I do have to say, your anger towards him seems to stem from a lack of understanding of the Christian God.
But as you have said numerous times before, you refuse to read the Bible, because it does nothing to help the now. Somewhat existential...

There are people in pain out there, people who need love, who have been scarred by Christians. One of the biggest, if not the biggest causes of Atheism is Christians, interestingly enough.
What happened to your mother was horrible, despicable, and wrong in all senses of the word.

I have a question.

Do you believe in sin?

So you believe that there are right, and there is wrong.

That's a start, but you realize that as Christians, we're a bit more... solid on our lines. We view all sins as equal, they're sin, they still = death, but we know what sin is.

And there's a long list.
Well, fairly long atleast.

Anyhow, this entire list, has been fulfilled by none. No one.
Except for Jesus.

You see where I'm going yet?

Vampira, I really hope you will find a meaning to your life, and feel better.
Have you considered having pills against depression? And\ or going to a psycologist?

I know someone that it really helped her- she seems to be one of the cheerful people I got to know, really.

Whether yout tried to commit suicide or not- you deserve to feel good. That good so you won't have even to think about it :)

Vampira-

Honestly, it's hard to explain a religion to someone who knows nothing about it, and refuses to at least gain knowledge in order to understand it. I suggest you read the Bible, maybe go to a church and ask the pastor these questions. I'm not saying this in an effort to convert you. The best way to understand something is to go to the source. In this case, the source is the Bible, and churches, and so on.

And as for the shit that's happened to you? Guess what: IT HAPPENS. I'm trying not to sound insensitive, but bad things happen. That's the way the world is, and no one really knows why. But moping about and constantly bellyaching over that fact doesn't help at all!

If you are so concerned about the bad things happening in the world today, do something about it!! I challenge you to fix a problem instead of whining about it.

Honestly, that's the entire point of most religions. Be good to others, help your fellow man, and so on. The trappings of "God" and so on, taken from an entirely psychological and non-religious view, are motivators. It is human nature to appeal to the supernatural. Religion simply codifies things. If you do good things, you go to Heaven, Nirvana, etc., and if you do bad things you go to Hell, the Underworld, etc.
