He has forgiven us. Hence the whole Jesus thing. Hell is for those who refuse to admit their sin and repent. |

Why does evil exist? It's a very good question. Why did God allow Satan to live and bring a third of the corrupted angels with him? The demons are the ones behind the false religions and have been around for centuries. Why doesn't God just save everybody? Doesn't that benefit everybody? Oh wait, free will. I have to leave now, but I'll be back. |

@Lue: Free will without Satan is still free will. No reason to have Satan around. Islam has solved the problem of evil rather beautifully, by simply not saying that God is good. Rather that God is God and if you don't like him sending people to be tortured for eternity that's your problem. In the Quran, Satan is told by God to deceive whomever God decides not to be saved and take them to hell, while God decides who gets to go to heaven. Problem solved

So, Satan was made to be blamed for everything, even human weakness? What a cruel cruel fate... |

Well, in the Quran he is not blamed for anything. God is calling the shots and Satan is just doing his job. Everyone are also aware of this as it says so in the Quran. |

We have this misconception in modern culture that Satan is punishing the evil in Hell. Which is wrong. Satan is being punished. He was exiled here to the Earth, and will be sent to the lake of fire to be seperated from God for all of eternity. Satan only wants to bring more humans with him to the lake of fire. Misery loves company, and Satan wants as few people as possible to enjoy Heaven with God. |

Yes. I like that author. Very humorous. And I agree with him, too much of Christianity is falsely tied up in paganism. |

Free will If you didn't have any choice... God would just be forcing us to do everything. That answers all those questions. |

If you don't have free will noone needs to force you, as you have no free will tgey need to fight against. Why is God boubd to create free will, is he forced to by something more powerful than himself? Free will does not mean that you need to create Satan, or humans, or any bad choices. How about a world where you can freely choose between only good things? |

Free Will. The glorious topic of muddled waters that separates Christians and non Christians. Even scientists wonder if all of our decisions are only the results of chemicals in our brain. My question to you Concolor, is what's your opinion of free will? |

Don't have much of an opinion on it, and when it comes to knowledge I'm agnostic on the existance of free will. How would you go about to see if there is free will or not? I'm not even sure if one can agree on exactly what free will is. I do however find it useful to treat people as agents who in most situations are responsible for their own actions, regardless of whether they have free will or not. |
