 Here's a few simple rules that shouldn't be a problem. They're all pretty much common sense and common courstesy, so no one should have a problem with them.

1. Do unto others as you would have done unto you. This means don't be a jerk. If you want to disagree with what someone says, do so respectfully.

2. Don't swear. Whether or not you feel profanity is acceptable, some people may be offended by it. It's unneccessary, so don't use it.

3. Don't post porn on the site.

4. If you post a link to site that some readers might find objectionable, mention that when you give the link. Something like "Warning: this link has some profanity" will suffice.

These are basic principles. Violate them, and the moderators might have to moderate your post. Insist on breaking them, and we'll have to ban you. We're not out to be the thought police, we just want to keep things simple.

 5. Don't ask too personal of information. Even if you're not a stalker, someone else could be. Use good judgement here.

 6. Don't do anything that's illegal in most developed nations. Don't post child pornography, encourage people to commit illegal acts, claim someone else's work as your own, or anything else that might be against the law. I might look the other way at little bit of copyrigt infringement, but that's about it.

 7. No cash prize contests, unless they're sponsered by Godlimations. I've seen a little too many "click this link to win money" topics, and this needs to stop. I don't care what XKCD says, people are not going to give you money unless they also take some from you. Probably more than they're giving you. Unless it's Patrick, in which case he's giving you money because your awesome imagination is helping him make money.
