Here's a FAQ section that should clarify some of the major questions: Q: What are the positions available on the site? A: Administrator (admin) and moderator (mod). Moderators are on hand to make sure no one's getting out of hand and posting objectionable content. They also make sure things go in the right spot and can warn or even ban members who get unruly. Admins can do everything that mods can do plus run the site as a whole, changing the domain name and adding new forums. Q: How can I become an admin? A: First off, I became admin when I made this site. I also made Patrick, may his name be sung across the nations, an admin because he's the guy I made the site for. However, it turns out I'm really lazy. If there ever gets to be a point where there's work on this site that I don't feel like doing I'll look for some moron who I can dupe into doing my work for me. (Whitewashing this fence is so much fun!) The first sucker gullible enough to agree gets to be an admin. Q: How do I get to be a moderator? A: It's a very similar process. I can't be on all the time. I'll assign mods when I feel like objectionable content is posted so often that I need other people to keep an eye on things. I've only had to censor someone once, and that was for using the word arsehole. Needless to say we don't need any mods around. Q: Is there a sort of admin position but with fewer powers? A: Yes. We call them moderators. Q: I know we don't need anyone else on staff right now, but why don't you hand out the ability to change the site to people as a favor to show how cool they are? A: That would be stupid and pointless. Q: I know you said we don't need any more admins, but I'm really stupid and extremely gullible. Isn't there some fool's errand you could send me on to show how worthy I am to do your work for you? A: As a matter of fact there is. The skin on this site is really boring. All blue. I don't feel like changing it. I have another forum here that I'm not using. The username is "Guest Admin" and the password is "password". No quotation marks on either. Go to the site, login as an admin, and change the color scheme, skins, and all of that. You'll have to first find a site that offers you these options, preferably for free though I won't object to your paying for this out of your own pocket. If you can accomplish this and if I feel that you are reasonably trustworthy then I'll make you an admin.
