Please note that this guide may be subject to change depending on how well the Grade and Quality system plays out. When creating the Gunpla you will use on the board, you need to set up their Grade and Attributes. As explained in the Gunpla Customization Guidelines, these are defining characteristics of your Gunpla that determines its strength in battle; both the general performance, and the amount of actions it can perform per post. Your starting attributes will be determined by the Administration, based on the Gunpla you have chosen to utilize. Based on the Grade you have selected, any additional increase in attributes will be applied to that base total. If you do not address a certain attribute of your Gunpla through your selection of Grade, the Administration may assign certain Grades to your Gunpla. For example, if your Gunpla would be considered a "heavy" Gunpla and you have not placed this Grade attribute on your template, the Administration will put it there for you (And you will receive the penalties that comes with having the Heavy Grade). To view a list pre-made Grade choices, please check the list here. While some of these will be helpful (and sometimes necessary to assign) for your Gunpla, you can also create your own Grade choices; though do note the Administration will scrutinize that choice. If it's approved, it'll be added to our list of pre-made choices, though in cases of something similar to the RG system (A personal, unique system), it will need approval from the original creator for use if another member wants to utilize it. Please view the example below as to how this Grade and Quality System works: Model - RGM-79 GM Offense - 1 Defense - 1 Adaptability - 3 Control - 5 Specialty - 0 Power - 0 Action Points - 5 Total - 10 / 30 This is the base quality rating for a standard RGM-79 GM, with no Grade whatsoever applied to the design. Because it is a very standard mass production unit it has a very high level of control, as it is easy to operate. As the unit is a general-purpose mobile suit, it also has a decent degree of adaptability to different environments. However its standard choice of weapons (beam spray gun, anti-beam shield) and standard armor materials result in a low base offense and defense. It has no specialty or power rating as it's a very standard Gunpla. However, if it utilizes the "Professional Build" Grade, its stats start to increase. The Professional Build Grade increases defense and adaptability by two and offense by one, while affecting no other stats. Suddenly it has eight action points to execute per post as well! (If multiplying gives you a decimal, it rounds up if said point is five or over and rounds down if under four or lower). Suddenly, this GM is starting to look like a contender! Model - RGM-79 GM [PRO] Offense - 2 Defense - 3 Adaptability - 5 Control - 5 Specialty - 0 Power - 0 Action Points - 8 Total - 15 / 30 Action Points are determined by adding the offense, defense, adaptability, control, specialty and power together, dividing by two. The total rating is the combined sum of all attributes. As some Grade can reduce or increase certain attributes, the total can be increased or decreased; however a lower total or lower action points does not necessarily equate to lower performance (Or a lower-quality Gunpla for that matter). Action Points will be half of what the total is, rounded up by a decimal point. Each category has a maximum of four points per category, for a total of 24. This total (and subsequently the action points) can be expanded upon through the use of Modifiers, granted through Build Grade. The Grade System is in place to prevent you from over-loading your Gunpla with a large number of weapons and systems from the very beginning. While you can assign any and all Grade choices you want right at the very beginning (up to a maximum of 200BG), do note that official tournaments restrict you to your actual Grade level. So if you have a Gunpla that has hit the maximum of 200BG, but your Grade level is only 100BG and you're participating in an official match, administrators will remove or change Grade choices from your Gunpla for that battle until your total amount of Grade choices hits your current Grade level; as such, attributes and systems granted to your Gunpla by Grade can and will be affected! Choices on what Build Grade that is removed to reflect your grade is determined by an administrator. Edited by Turinu, Feb 3 2015, 12:54 PM.
