GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS TERMINOLOGY Below is a list of terms utilized on this board, as well as a brief description of what these terms mean. This list is continually being added to, so it's a constant work-in-progress! Check back every so often to see if new terms have been added to the list! Plavsky Particle - Discovered years ago by former Chairman Mashita of the PPSE (Plavsky Particle System Engineering) organization, Plavsky Particles are a synthetic element created by fusing antiparticles together in a zero-gravity environment. During a massive shortage after the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship, Yajima Trading was able to replicate the steps necessary to produce these particles and has since taken over the role once held by PPSE as producer of the particle and its associated technologies. Arista - Synthesized in a zero gravity environment, Arista crystals are composed of compressed Plavsky Particles that are then used to generate the particles necessary for Gunpla Battle. Following research on synthesizing these crystals by Nils Nielsen in space, PPSE's monopoly over the technology was lost. This would ultimately lead to Yajima Trading's rise as a major player in the field of Gunpla. Plavsky Particle System Engineering - Monopolizing plavsky particle technologies for almost a decade, PPSE was founded by Chairman Mashita and became the primary developer and backer of technologies associated with Gunpla Battles. PPSE would operate research institutions for the development of Gunpla as well as the Gunpla Academy to produce powerful Fighters. Following the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship and subsequent discovery of producing plavsky particles to the world, it has since lost its monopoly. Yajima Trading - Once a corporation dealing in major trading across the world, Yajima Trading soon became the primary sponsor of Gunpla Battle following its research into synthesizing plavsky particles. Toppling PPSE's monopoly over the technology, Yajima Trading has since become the primary developer of Gunpla-oriented technologies, now sponsoring events such as the Gunpla Battle World Championships and funding research into new applications for Plavsky technologies. Nielsen Labs - Founded by Nils Nielson, the Nielson Labs are an expansive facility located in Japan dedicated to the pursuit of Gunpla. The lab features a number of research and development facilities and is frequently utilized by tournament-level participants for training purposes, as the facility is fully equipped for the maintenance of Gunpla as well as Gunpla Battle. Gunpla - First released in the 1980's, Gunpla (A combination of Gundam and Plastic Model) were kits released representative of the mobile suits in the Mobile Suit Gundam series of anime. Having been produced for several decades, Gunpla have since been drastically refined in terms of joint motion and material, with many being re-released over the years. When plavsky particles were introduced, love of Gunpla reached an all-time high, bringing fourth the second Gunpla boom of the 21st century. Gunpla Battle - With the concept initially introduced with the Gunpla Builders series, Gunpla Battle became a reality when PPSE introduced plavsky particles to the world. Rather than through a virtual simulator, the actual Gunpla itself became the participant in a battle fought across massive hexagonal battlefields. With plavsky particles recreating beautiful landscapes and objects with which to battle in, paired with the joy and sadness of seeing one's Gunpla win or lose, Gunpla Battle has become the most popular competition in the world. Tuning System - Following the development of a new battle system built around highly refined plavsky particles (plavsky particles mk 2), Nielsen Labs developed the comprehensive Tuning System for Gunpla. The Tuning System allows builders to tune their Gunpla with regards to its reaction to the new type of plavsky particles. To this end, many new Gunpla are built with clear parts that allow for greater plavsky storage and control. Tuning can produce a number of different results, such as a stronger frame, greater speed or higher output weapons. As demonstrated by the Scramble Gundam, Gunpla utilizing the Tuning System on the new battlefields are far superior to Gunpla that do not use it. By the time of the 16th Gunpla World Championships, this system has already become mainstream. Edited by Turinu, Sep 17 2016, 06:04 PM.
