It was a Friday afternoon at the beginning of the springtime in downtown tokyo. The commercial district was crowded with all kinds of people mostly students looking forward to spend the start of the weekend in company of their friends. Well, everyone else except a raven haired girl who was all on her own walking on the opposite direction everyone else was. The young missy didn't look out of place she was wearing a winter school uniform consisting of a brown sweater and a black skirt that reached just about her knees, black stockings and nicely polished shoes. Misaki walked at a hurried pace unable to contain her glee as she set her eyes on the 1/1 scale Gundam RX-78 poised a few blocks up ahead. Like a moth drawn to a flame the cheerful teenager marched down the street gracefully evading the crowd of people. This was the day she'd been waiting for so long and no one would stop her quest of otakudom enlightenment. or so she thought. While the scale of the RX-78 prop model was impressive Misaki wasn't here to stare at the obvious tourist trap. With a soft childish giggle the lone schoolgirl continued on her way until locating a nearby store that specialized on Bandai kits of all kinds, sizes and flavors. There was a proverbial fortune on plastic models inside that store and while Misaki didn't had that much money she would make sure to spend it wisely. Upon setting her ruby colored eyes on the first aisle she could feel her heart pound out of her chest. Never before she'd seen so many Gundam themed merchandise on a single place, almost every possible non grade, high grade and master grade laid on display boxes upon boxes. was this what heaven looked like? With a childish giggle Misaki wandered around staring at the cool box sample pictures and taking closer looks on whatever piqued her interest. |

Japan was certainly urban which was much preferred being a city girl like herself, it was colourful and loud while some areas seemed completely homely. It had been quite a busy friday for Sia, having an entire rally of class with an assignment already lurking behind her which was ready to consume all the time in the world, but she also needed parts for her Gunpla. Having a few spare parts would come in handy as she was perhaps a little eager too get into a fight with a fellow warrior. Bending over to claim what seemed to of been another V-Dash conversion kit for a regular Victory Gundam, it was a little pricey for her taste but maybe that's because it was an older kit which made her die a little inside, it was such a lovely thing the V-dash, it needed more love!.Then again the Hexa was riddled with hard points all over the surface to carry other weapons, maybe a more original approach to arming the Gunpla would work, certainly make it more adaptive... But who can adapt to the array of beams this one suit could deploy out? Superior firepower. Idle banter and the chit-chat among the people filled the store, as well as the cries and cheers of the battle room not to far allocated near the main sales floor. Though Sia would remain dull to that kind of situation, she had a pair of headphones resting neatly over her head, enclosed around her ears and pretty much bursting tunes to her delight while she thought on the possible purchase. |

There where so many models on display Misaki had no idea where to start. Her attention was quickly captivated by a master grade Nu Gundam which caused her to rush up there and grab one of the boxes. From the corner of her eye she spotted another MG Nu Gundam this time the re designed more modern Katoki version. " ah! look at that." Those ruby eyes of her sparkled with delight until she set her eyes on the price tag. While she could afford it would involve settling for eating nothing but cup rammen during school lunch. " ehh maybe i'll go check the smaller scales." leaving the Nu Gundam back where it belonged the raven hired girl moved to another section where all the HGs where on display. As expected there was a greater variety of models on this scale ranging from classic UC favorites to the newest fancy RG line. " my wallet will thank me for this." Misaki was having such a good time she paid no mind to the odd looks she was getting from other customers. These 1/114 scale kits where so much affordable that before long Misaki was carrying three boxes (which contained a REGZ, a Jagd Doga and the quintessential Wing Gundam) around unable to decided which one she would buy first. so much was her lack of focus on the real world at this moment she bumped into the blonde girl checking the weapon packs for the Victory model. " oww hey! i'm sorry bout that." While annoyed at first the blushing schoolgirl was aware she'd been the one at fault here so an apologize was followed by a polite bow. |

Leaning to the side slightly to see more kits, not just belonging to the ones she had desired but simple ones like the Dagger from SEED or the Union Realdo from 00. It was quite assuring that kits were pleasantry supplied here compared to England where it was really on a first serve basis throughout the store. A least import price wasn't an issue here, all rightfully cheap now that's she's before them. Being in Japan also meant the more rare kits that one would have trouble seeking where right in the same room, which was quite the bonus if she was actually planning on moving away from the formidable Hexa. What heresy. Stretching with her sights now back onto the kit in her grasp, the simple parts she held for the V-dash equipment just like before, except now she was balancing another box on top of that. With her thoughts reflecting onto Yen, Sia was just about to move before she suddenly felt the physical force of another being whomping her. With no time to collect her balance she fell onto the ground much like freshly harvested timber, the Gunpla box sliding away a few feet. Her process of through finally caught up to her body and she slowly brought herself to a standing, only bending over to collect the box that was tossed before herself. "M-maybe you should be a little more careful." Left palm rubbing her forehead ever so lightly which recoiled back to her side. Sia turned around to set her optics on the other, curiousty easily spiked by the kits within her clutches. "It's fine, really." Offering a slightly assuring smile. |

Barry Zammerman was making his regular pilgrimage to G-Muse to pick up more Barzam kits. To date he had made hundreds of every single Barzam kit, one of his life's dreams is to build a 1/1 scale Barzam. Each of the previously made Barzams was worked on lovingly and they adorned his home as decorations. In addition to the ones he made simply for himself every year he would place one that came out particularly nicely on his father's grave. He spent at least a week on each one and with his fathers vast fortune there was no limit to the number he could create in his lifetime. He was a normal kind of guy outside of the over-the-top love of Barzam, with a fiery heart that burned with a passion for gunpla and a kind soul that yearned for justice. The persecution of Barzam had gone on long enough! He knew the basics of gunpla battle and had a little experience but never really got into it as a competitor. He felt that relaying on his ability to build was the key to spreading the word of Barzam. His true love was just working on and building Barzams. Seeing the sleek lines come to life as he added to it. The glorious pink monoeye, the cute little horn on it's head. He loved everything about Barzam and was set on using his gunpla to make everyone else agree with him. The best way was the Barzam way. Bursting through the doors of G-Muse with a flourish, wearing his trademark "I <3 Barzam" T-shirt Barry began to walk the same path towards the rear of the store where the Barzams were tucked away. On his way there he noticed a pair of women had caused quite the kerfuffle crashing into one another. His eagle eye did not miss the younger of the two agonising over what gunpla she should choose. Could it possibly be her first time here? Could Barry impart upon her the true greatness of Barzam and set her on a righteous path for her whole life as an gunpla builder? He had to act! He couldn't let the chance pass by! "Are you okay young miss and young miss?' He began asking as if out of concern for their well being. "I've not seen either of you here before is this perhaps your first time here? Allow me to be your guide! I'm Barry Zammerman or Bar-Zam for short. Please allow me to help you get used to your surroundings. I've been coming here for many years and it would be an honour to show you the ropes." With grandious words Barry attempted to ingratiate himself with the two girls. First he would get them to trust him then he would get them to trust Barzam. That was the plan at least. |

The concerned Misaki set her gunpla boxes on a nearby shelve in order to pick up the Dagger and Realdo packages she'd so carelessly thrown away from Sia's grasp. " I'm sorry.I got carried away really bad." It was rather odd to see this cutesy blonde girl checking out Gundam related merchandise. There where a lot of foreigners here in Tokyo she thought and the girl spoke with a particular accent she couldn't quite recognize. " These are some cool looking models." For a moment she considered snatching the Gunbarrel Dagger HG for herself. Even know Misaki couldn't hide how excited she was surrounded by all those model kit boxes. Every time she looked around a new model she'd never seen would captivate her interest. Before Misaki could introduce herself formally a strange male voice seemed to call for them. It was a young man wearing an ironic T-shirt or so she thought. There was no way this dude would consider being so open about his fanboyism then again THIS was the capital and shameless Otakus paraded trough the streets on a daily basis. " I am fine." Misaki was so embarrassed when she realized someone else had taken notice of her clumsiness. "A Barzam, huh?" Despite Barry flamboyant introduction Misaki found herself unable to remember what he was ranting about. she'd only seen Zeta once many years ago and never paid any mind to it. Slowly she reached for the REGZ package she'd kept nearby having apparently made her mind already. The kit was loaded with features such as the sub flight system and its own stand for ease of display. " More bang for my buck." chimed in the excited teenager. |

Her viewpoint quickly changed over to the other student, taking off her headphones so she could actually hear the others apology. "It's quite fine, really." Scratching the very back of her neck with her free hand. "Cool looking? Never really known much about them." Placing the V-Dash box down by the shelf before picking up the Dagger and Realdo. "I know ones from SEED and the others from 00, but that's only because the box tells me that." Turning around the dagger to confirm her suspicions, yep, SEED. "Certainly digging the little visor it has but it looks like the GMs cousin or something; seeing how humble it looks." Sia placed the box back down into the shelf among the other Dagger types. Presenting a slight smile. "So that's a-" Before Sia could get inquisitive on the Re-GZ an aura of unusual suddenly breezed in, being contained in an odd man who sprouted the most queer rantings. At least he had some sense of style with the entire Barzam thing but maybe that was a little to far to show ones love for their favorite little mobile suit. "I'm well. Kinda sorta, maybe." Bowing her head an inch or two forwards. "First time in a store? No, this store? Yes. I'm not from around here so I'm quite stoked on how much variety there is compared to home." Sia paused as her optics looked to the shirt, quite the slogan. "I'm Sia, Sia Gloster." Normally she would offer a hand to new people but she didn't want to catch what that Barzam fella had. "Didn't that Zeta thingy have a problem at one point? Then again I also remember the Barzam having problems. Maybe the real winner is something that's neither that or this but the Gunblaster." And quite the winner that was in Sia's own personal thoughts, best mass production ever. "Rifle, shield, missiles, net and trusty vulcans. Nothing else you need but that." Then again a lot of Gunpla had that setup, very common thing Federation suits seem to use throughout there production years. |

"Sia my dear! You will never find a greater place for Gunpla!" he said sliding close and wrapped his arm around her. "Behold! A mecca unlike any other! The shining jewel in the crown of our gunpla way of life!" Waving his arm out in a sweeping gesture, Barry pressed upon them to take in the majesty of everything before them. The comments about the Barzam struck him deeply but he was a crusader and such comments from uneducated people wouldn't slow him down. Gunbuster? What's this talk about a superior gunpla? There was no such thing, Barzam stood at the pinnacle of design and performance! It was perfect. "Don't think you have escaped my eagle eye there young one." He said releasing Sia, moving well inside of Misaki's personal space. "I see you are looking to make this kit! Have you ever made one before? Allow me to offer my services as an experienced builder! I'd happily help you put this piece together. My talents are so prolific that with my assistance you will be the envy of all your friends when we are done!" He had to get these women to trust him somehow and helping them make gunpla would be a good start. Sia looked like she knew a thing or two about putting a kit together based off of her attitude but this one looked to have little to no idea about these kinds of things from the look of her fidgety glances about the store. "You too Sia my dear, come. I will show you both what it takes to craft a gunpla!" Latching on to both of the girls by the hand and dragging them off to one of the many kit building stations at the rear of the store. He reaffirmed his mission. He knew it would take time. These girls would see the light. Barry had hope. |

" My name is Misaki Nakajima, nice meet you." For a moment the raven haired schoolgirl seemed to forget Barry even existed as she introduced herself to the british miss. For a foreigner the blonde seemed quite knowledgeable of Mobile suits since she was quick to recognize the REGZ has a Zeta Gundam derivative. " Yeah the design was he-" Before she could finish the sentence this Barry fellow seemed to get in really close to both of them. The pleasant expression on Misaki face changed to one of disaproval and contempt when the Barzam lover moved closer to her. " I've put a few kits together before." Replied Misaki in a condescending tone while putting a total bitch front. " Nothing fancy just some snap and fit ... " Once again the explanation fell short as she felt Barry drag both of them towards the back of the store where the dueling arenas where located. " hey stop it ya cu-!" Before Misaki could continue with her cussing her attention was once more driven to the builders and fighters duking it out with their favorite models in the little plavsky arenas just like she'd seen in the televised tournaments. |

Sia was on the verge of exchanging words with Miss Nkajima but because that could from to fruition she was Being caught in his grasp with a single arm around her made Sia quite nervous, he seemed fanatical to the Barzam cause which may mean he'll do drastic things, but if he has been coming here for ages without incident worthy of kicking him out then maybe he's pretty harmless after all. All that ended when she was let go, the Barzam man setting his suits on the other aid of company which was the Japanese girl. Poor soul. Sia slid her headphones back onto her ears, reclaiming the moment of peace just for herself. The expression of 'weird-ed out' changed to a more neutral one as her thoughts reclined back to the box in hand and the not so hefty sum of Yen within her wallet. Sia pondered on the idea of getting more money, maybe it was through an actual job? But that would take away from fighting and training time with the Hexa, could always start placing bets on herself to win but that seemed a little snobby to do so. Her thoughts continued to linger, it was quite typical for her to go spacey and day dream to herself but that would be disrupted by Barzam-Guy once again. Instead of deciding on the purchase she was awakened to being pulled along with the Japanese miss to somewhere. "C-craft a what? Gunpla? I can already do that." Too a basic level. |

A demure figure poked her head out from behind the shelf of kit parts as she noted the commotion coming from the aisle over, blinking as she noticed two girls being dragged away by a rather suspicious looking fellow. This was Mei-ling's first time visiting the much larger, more readily stocked G-Muse Shopping Center, and would normally have been content with just visiting her local Gunpla hobby store had it not been for the fact they were closed and on holiday for the week. So a bus ride and a few blocks later, here she was, getting starry-eyed as she internally gushed over all the new models and kits she'd never seen before. Of course, nothing could replace what she had, but Mei-ling didn't necessarily have to buy anything .. just browse! Setting down the small kit of precision tools she had contemplated buying before her thoughts were interrupted, Mei-ling followed after them, more-so out of curiosity and concern then simply because she felt like it. |

Barry's bright smile cast a light on everyone he rushed past as the hurried his two new friends to the work stations. Coming to the end of their journey to at the crating stations in the back of the store, Barry began setting the two girls up with tools borrowed from G-Muse and a seat for himself. "Here we are now ladies. Take a seat." He busied about settling the girls into their seats while taking a seat himself. Seemingly out of nowhere he conjured up three HG Barzam kits and laid them on the table before him. "Now ladies, before you is the finest mobile suit and gunpla ever produced. I have made this exact kit many times now and it is my great honour to help you construct it today." YES! This was it. The Barzam! The greatest! By making the gunpla itself they would have no choice but to recognise it's brilliance! Excitedly tearing apart the box before him Barry organised the plastic sprues out on the table. He relished this sight and smell fresh plastic out of the box, what would come next was Barry's number one joy in life. Building Barzams! Nothing was greater! looked over to the other two and noticed the distinct lack of movement on their part. Noticing the curious looks of yet another young girl he quickly stood up out of his seat and beckoned her over as well. "Come join us! We're just about to get into the nitty gritty of building Barzams!" Producing another HG Barzam kit he laid it out on the small table opposite him. "Don't be nervous. I know it's overwhelming at first but I'm here to help you!" Barry reassured the three young ladies. Hoping to probe them into action. Edited by Barzam, Feb 6 2015, 11:39 PM.

" Uhh! " Misaki was awe struck when this strange fellow offered a Barzam kit for each one of them to build. The first conclusion she could reach was that this was some sort of reality show and that they where being filmed on camera. The Plastic model phenomena was in full swing right now after all as people from all gender and ages indulged in this hobby. Not to mention a Gunota like her would rarely pass the opportunity to build a gundam model for free. ' Its just an stupid Barzam.' The Barzam kit wasn't made up of a whole lot of runners so Misaki even with her limited building skills would be able to put it together in a quarter of an hour at most. Early High grades like this one where relatively simple with the aid of the very graphic manual. " Tada~" After exactly 16 minutes the raven haired girl proudly presented her spruce ridden Barzam kit with the decals barely glued together. The kit was standing on her palm crudely point its rifle forward while holding the beam saber pathetically with its left hand. |

If someone had asked Sia if she was getting kidnapped she would obviously say yes, being herded like cattle into the place of last rest which was the constructing of Gunpla. Her skills at the subject were shoddy and instead of building like she was expected to the pieces of Zam would go back into the box, being sealed over the top and placed before the Barry. "No teaching or offering would be necessary." Putting on that fake smile she was prone to do. "I've already got my own Gunpla and I'm quite happy on how it's turned out, no need for a second at the moment." Saying such in a particularity bored tone. Sia did have a few but they were at England currently, she wouldn't dare to bring anything else but the Hexa, anything else was just a chump in comparison though it did open the question if a second one would be needed in case her Hexa becomes decommission for a lengthy time span. Thoughts were quickly tossed to the side when she saw what the other miss had created, as well as his new prisoner. "Hope these kits didn't cost you to much dosh. I can't really pay you back at the moment, but then again you did go ahead without asking."A sigh escaping her maw. Maybe the word of Barzam was charitable? Only for Barzam related issues that plagued the world like the low adoption rate of Barzam's compared to the Zaku II's. |

Mei-ling, surprised at the strange fellow beckoning her towards their little gathering of what appeared to be Barzam enthusiasts. Or perhaps it was just the strange fellow that was the enthusiast and the other two were simply drawn in by his exuberant display of affection for Barzam. It was only just then that she noticed his T-shirt and found herself cracking a wide, uncontrollable smile. He was a Barzam fanatic. From what she recalled though, the RMS-154 Barzam model kit had a cult following due to it boasting high performance with a simple to control frame, though it's high performance was off-set by how bland it's armaments were considered by the general Gunpla crowd. It had beam sabers, standard vulcans, and a beam rifle. Recently though, the entire line was recalled and re-designed to look more aesthetically pleasing so it was starting to gain some minor popularity as display items. Though, the one before her seemed to be more then just a cult follower and was too strange to be a Gunpla beautician. Stepping towards the table she picked up the box set aside for her and held it up, then placed it down next to it's neglected brethren Sia had pushed aside. "Hello, are you teaching them how to build a Barzam?" She would ask, pointing at Misaki's hastily constructed Barzam. |

As Misaki was working away at her own kit Barry couldn't help but notice Sia hadn't even touched hers yet. Looking over too her he couldn'y help but get a sour feeling through her smile. "There is no need to worry about the cost, my dear. Consider it a gift. There is no such thing as having too many gunpla. Give it a go. I'm sure you will enjoy yourself." he urged the girl in headphones to have a little fun with it. There was nothing wrong with building gunpla that is given as a gift, in fact it's considered rude not to do so in some circles. "You're amazing Misaki! You should be very proud of yourself, that looks wonderful! But as with any great piece of art it just needs some finishing touches." Any Barzam was a beautiful Barzam to Barry. This Barzam was just another in the grand tapestry of Barzams. His mostly silent onlooker piped up then and asked him if he was "teaching them how to build a Barzam?". "Ah, Yes I am, of sorts. I'm about to do some finishing touches on this one if you'd like to join in." He pointed at the chair opposite him. "Hmm let me see that." He took the raggedy Barzam from Misaki and began working on it with a file. "Watch here. This will smooth out the bumps and make it look and perform better in battle." Gathering all the gazes as his refined motions began to polish away at the gunpla. Filing the sprues down, fixing the stickers, Instructing Misaki on how to apply highlights and shade in armour. All the skills he had learned in his years of making Barzams were on display. Enough so to make a lesser builder go weak at the knees. "There we are, all done!" Barry proudly said another 5 minutes later. Now what was left of Misaki's Barzam could barely be seen instead there stood a regal blue warrior. A true example of a fine Gunpla. A Barzam among Barzams. "Excellent work Misaki. Thank you for your help in making this I hope you learned a lot. Here you can keep it." He knew that he was barking up the wrong tree with the brit but this one was impressionable. He knew he could get her to see the light of Barzam with time. |

It was very educative to see this Barry fellow give them all a practical demonstration on how to further refine a pre-built model. All it took was some little practical skill, that and she was also considering improvising in some cases with cheaper materials. Cutting production cost was at the order of the day. All this enthusiasm vanished in an instant when the finished Barzam made its debut. Misaki thought she'd hated before looking at it but realized it was a childish dream of loathing. What she was feeling now was real hatred, the genuine fury no human should experience. Those gleaming ruby eyes where gone replaced by a gloomy stare as if she was looking down into a bottomless abyss. Just looking at this purple and blue mono eye monstrosity reminded the young woman that they where all going to die and that nothing they'd ever done, said or thought ever mattered. No, this wasn't Barry's fault. his building skills where impressive to say the least. the kit was beautifully detailed it was such a shame he choose to dedicate all that effort in such an infernally ugly Robot kit. " You can keep it, dude." Regardless of all that Misaki wasn't rude enough to verbally express all the negative emotions her tender heart was suppressing. All she could do was politely refuse, there was no way in fucking hell that Barzam would decorate her desk. |

Sia kicked off only to be leaning on her forced seating, observing the construction of the delicate Barzam. The first example created by the young miss was quite hideous in its end form but the Barzam guy seemed to of taken the step to refining the Barzam, the spurs, highlighting and shading and the annoying process of applying stickers. It was quite the example on great building skills; worthy enough to have its place on a store window, perhaps being displayed too all who enjoy Gunpla. Of course Sia wasn't going to get big from building Gunpla but instead battling with it, ideally. The issue with that seemed to of been a large number of builder & fighter combo packages these days, troubling. Each hand claimed the box from the east and west, bringing it over only to read the back of the display to where the information of the Barzam existed, enthusiasm wasn't something she had showed much since she got here or much at all in her life, only exception was when she obtained victory in a child's game. "Where did you obtain these building skills you've acquired? Something on the lines of rebuilding Barzams over and over?" Her tone carried the question as if it were a joke, surely he had a broader horizon then just Barzams and Barzams? Maybe he had a thing for Bar-GMs as well. "Do you only build Barzams?" Getting somewhat more inquisitive. |

Mei-Ling took a seat between the three, a content smile plastered onto her face as she watched the Barzam fanatic pick apart the hastily made Gunpla made by the girl sitting closest to her and turn it into something more deserving of it's origins as a high-performance model. It was clear to her that he was an expert at what he did, the way he so delicately tugged at the parts without tools spoke wonders of how many hours one had to spend to be able to do what he did. The question brought about the foreigner was one she had hoped an answer for. Could he apply his competent skills to another kit as well? |

Seems like Barry's little demonstration caught the attention of the brit, the older girl was also looking at him expectantly. "My father taught me how to build and the rest was just practice. You can learn a lot off of the internet these days and I just practise so much that It always comes out quite well." A sheepish look on his face as he said it, turns out the young man is weak to this kind of questioning. "Umm... No not really. I've only ever really made Barzams. I've fiddled with a few modifications of the purpose of battles and so on but I haven't built a kit other than Barzam in years." He continued on. Crowding around that Barzam nut at the tables in rear of G-Muse were three beautiful girls. Envious onlookers stared daggers at him while he had worked on his precious Barzam now after finishing his work he became dreadfully aware of all the attention he was getting. Answering the questions that were thrown at him and trying to ignore the third girl who sat with a malevolent aura surrounding her. "Sorry ladies I think I should go now. Ah... Umm.. It was a pleasure meeting you all here!" He said as he hastily gathered up his things, the pressure of the jealous audience was too much for the Barzam boy. He began to make a bee-line for the exit, leaving the recently finished Barzam behind. |
