Tokyo Japan, a city that's long since been the sight for Rena to visit and take it all in. The sights, the attractions, the many people, it was all there and though it was a scary place to be at times, Rena had no problems socializing here. It was a pretty beautiful day to be out and about, Rena could hear everything around her from the bustling streets filled with pedestrians when it was time to cross the streets and people driving to get to a destination, probably work. The area she was in right now had a good amount of people around as it was a fairly nice mall like place. She was there with a few friends from he school on a trip to further their gunpla knowledge and building skills. Rena was still just getting used to the systems even though she had a good year and a half under her belt. However, after reviewing the kinds of people she would be meeting and battling in the tournaments and challenges, to come, she was certain she still wasn't good enough and opted to improver herself. Rena and her friends Torino and Yuuhei to find some more parts and supplies, they stopped here along their way to the G-Muse having surveyed good amount of the city. This was just a pit-stop for their main adventure. At the moment, the trio of friends are currently resting at the food court just a couple hundred feet from the Small Gunpla Store there. The day was a little tiring, but they were still pretty psyched up.

"So when we get to G-Muse I want to try get as much merchandise as I can carry! I'm going to build the greatest gunpla ever seen!", Torino shouted to the stars. He was a pretty excitable person if his buttons were pushed right, there was even a time he literally did go home with his arms shoulder deep in bags and merchandise. The fact that the guy could even hold a set of pliers or snips was quite surprising. Rena and Yuuhei both tilted their heads in embarrassment and pity. The guy was a real firecracker and like bundle of firecrackers, the next idea would just set him off after the last one was done. "Calm down, I know you have a tendency to get over excited but we're in public, so show some dignity would you?", Rena said scolding him about his actions. Torino simply slouched into his chair with a face that said "I'm sorry", Rena took a small deep breath and turned to Yuuhei to ask a question. "So what is so special about this G-Muse anyways?", Rena asked.

"Well unlike the shops you find in a mall or around the block, at G-Muse we will have access to equipment and work stations. We can build our gunpla and tune them up there as well. The amount of merchandise there is enough to supply anyone with anything and for any reasons.", Yuuhei responded. Rena looked at Yuuhei in awe as she thought about the things she was about to throw herself into and that this sounded like a good opportunity. Her expression of "Whatever" turned into one of great excitement and anticipation. They would head over to the G-Muse place after a while, for now the group was just sitting idly in the food court awaiting the moment they decide to start the trip. Rena took her Genoace out from her side pouch and placed it on the table; though she had help with its construction, her customizations made her feel better about how she was progressing, was there anyone who could tell her otherwise?

"Oh? That's an interesting Genoace." An older boy walked up to the table as he was wandering on by, catching a glimpse of the Genoace Gunpla placed upon the table.

By the looks of it, the boy was definitely older than the small group; probably in high school. By appearance he didn't typically appear Japanese, though his use of the language was flawless. Greeting the group with a hearty smile, he leaned down to get a closer look at the model. It was an interesting build; inspired by the Genoace O Custom, with a Gundam-inspired face and some slight alterations to the body and color. While it wasn't professionally built, the time and dedication put into the construction by the builder of the Gunpla definitely made it stand out.

Leaning back up after examining the model, he pointed down to it with a smile. "The modifications are simple, but they really mesh well together into their own unique Genoace. Are you the one who built it?" he asked, turning to the girl who placed the model down on the table.

The boy was clearly interested in the Gunpla, though he more or less gave the feeling that he liked looking at custom Gunpla in general. Hanging from his belt was in fact his own side pouch, containing his own Gunpla.

The group of three were a little startled when a guy, not much older than they were, randomly popped up out of nowhere. Everyone's attention snapped immediately following the guys out burst, apparently Rena's Genoace model was the talk of the moment because that's the first thing this boy addressed. An interesting gunpla huh? It was not as if it was a world class machine, it was definitely well put together and customized for a straight build. A bit of appraisal was nice, but it seemed a bit far fetched, never the less, Rena appreciated a compliment here and there decided to just let it fly. Getting a good look at the newcomer, Rena actually enjoyed the look of this one, she could feel heart skip a beat for a second, what was it? "The build itself was not all my doing alone. With a bit of help from my friends here, I was able to get it built in a way that just felt satisfying is all.", Rena replied.

She noticed a lot about this one, the fact that he had such an interest in gunpla, his ability to outright speak it without hesitation. Rena decided not to be rude and moved to introduce herself. "I'm Rena, the informal one to my left here is Yuuhei Hitoka and to the right is Torino, he's a bit out in the open but you get used to him! We were getting ready to head to the G-Muse place Yuuhei has been telling me about.", Rena said.

"Oh yeah! I'm going to be the biggest merchandise collector of all time. Just you wait! I'll be famous!", Torino said in a very excited tone. Rena tiled her head in a bit of embarrassment, but took a breath before looking at their guest once more. "So what brings such an enthusiastic person like you're self around here? I take it you're from around here?", Rena asked.

"Me? I was just headed to the station after making a delivery. I work at a 3D print shop, so we get orders from the local shops for all sorts of stuff since the owner's from around here." he replied to Rena, looking out towards the station.

"The name's Andy by the way. Sorry if I come off as a bit giddy when it comes to Gunpla; I'm a big fan of scratch or custom Gunpla builds! So seeing something more than a fancy paint job on a Gunpla caught my eye."

Reaching around into his pouch, he pulled out a unique-looking Gunpla; it didn't really appear similar to any other Gunpla one would have seen before, though it was to a scale typical of Gunpla battling. He placed it on the table. "This one's not the greatest, but it's the culmination of taking full advantage of my uncle's print shop! ... and a big chunk of my paycheck. Made for Gunpla Battle!"

So his name is Andy huh? That was not a name that was common for Rena, especially in Japan. However the world was quite vast so she was sure it wasn't impossible to find a person such as him. His father owned a 3D print shop huh? that was a nice because Andy had access to tools and resources you would not find at home or at a school. Then the guy apologize for being too straight forward just now, though Rena actually didn't mind. Between Yuuhei's know-it-all view of things and Torino's overly excessive, laid back life style, this was a nice change of pace and surely a bit more relaxing to hear. Andy just kept on with compliments which was fine, but when he pulled out his own Gunpla model, that changed a lot of the conversation. "Oh wow, I've never seen this model before. Is this even in the stores?" Yuuhei said, adjusting his glasses in amazement of the Gunpla Andy laid out to show everyone.

Rena herself was starting show a bit of envy since from first glance it had that radiance of originality and power to it. The red and white paint scheme was pretty fresh and its frame was sleek and so new school like. Unlike Yuuhei, she kept her cool because getting to excited was not her style. Though she had to admit, Andy really did leave a lasting impression, she could tell because she couldn't taker her eyes off of it. Torino was swirling around the table in shock and awe, Rena had to grab him and throw him back in his seat as it was getting out of hand now. "So you do Gunpla battle? I just recently started about two years ago, so I'm still a rookie at this. This Gunpla though, this thing puts us worlds apart, what do you call it?", Rena asked. She just had to know because Andy could be come a potential opponent later.

"You'll be hard pressed to for sure, Yuuhei!" Andy said with a grin, leaning down onto the table to present his Gunpla. It was a bit rough around the edges, but the parts were painstakingly smoothed, primed and painted. The sensor areas on the helmet and torso were clear green parts, while the paint gave off a slightly metallic color. If anything it had the look of a mass production model, though the level of detail placed into each part really made it stand out.

"While it uses a 1/144 frame from an actual Gunpla kit, most of the external parts are original; I used molds 3D printed at my uncle's shop that I made using 3D software... makes it much easier than making them from scratch like other Builders." he said, showing the level of articulation on the model. Despite being essentially printed it did show to have articulation on equal footing with other Gunpla. "I call it the Daeg Hagal. I derived its name from Nordic runes since it sounded cool at the time. Translates to something along the lines of 'Day Hail', though I prefer to read it as 'Dawning Storm'."

"It is still a bit rough around the edges, but I tried my best to smooth out and paint the parts. It's definitely one of my better attempts, made just for battle!" he picked back up the Gunpla and slid it back into the pouch, closing the latch on it. As Rena began to mention Gunpla battle, his eyes seemed to light up. "Huhu. I've been doing Gunpla battle on or off for awhile now, though never had an opportunity to participate in official tournaments until now! I entered into the Beginner's Tournament after all to strut my stuff!"

"Though I wouldn't say it puts us worlds apart... sure I put some effort into making the parts, but what matters is how much the Gunpla you made satisfies you! And I guess in the world of Gunpla Battle... how good you can fight with it also matters!" he said with a laugh.

That was quite the interesting Gunpla setup indeed, made out of completely fresh 3D parts? If that print shop had the ability to produce plastic parts then there was no limit to the Gunpla that could be made without much cost to the builder. Rena was starting to envy Andy bit by bit, slowly admiring the guy willing to take a chance in battle with an unfamiliar machine to the Gundam world. The idea wasn't unthinkable, but it was a bit doubtful to say the least. All anyone could do at this point would be to go through a trial and error period. Still though, Andy did show promise just from his attitude towards the subject of gunpla, but when Rena brought up the idea of battle, Andy's face lit up like a Christmas tree.

What was that about a Gunpla Battle Tournament for beginners? Rena thought about it for a minute. Did an opportunity to see what she was made of make itself available? That was something she didn't want to pass up, a glimmer in her eyes could now be seen as well. "A Beginners tournament? When and where? This is great you guys, our abilities might be able to get better now.", Rena said happily. Yuuhei did not sit well with the idea of a tournament so soon, but since there was no stopping Rena when she got this way. there was not much he could do. "If you're going to enter in a tournament then fine. However you need some more practice before you actually appear there, might I suggest using the store over for access to the battle system?", Yuuhei said. He was right though, Rena needed much more practice before she got into a real battle, it would be humiliating if she showed up unprepared.

"You're right. I wont stand a chance against someone who's been battling longer than me. Alright then, I guess we could preform a few battle tests. But what about that G-Muse place?", Rena said and asked. That was a good point, they weren't in Tokyo to battle, but if they did go to G-Muse, there were larger battle systems there to use. "Oh yeah, G-Muse, if we go there, we'll have better access to equipment. If you must get in some battle practice then we can do that there as well.", Yuuhei replied. It was settled then, G-Muse would be the spot to do this all in one go. "Well then, Andy, I sure hope to see you in this tournament. I'll be sure to try my best, I just hope I'm good enough.", Rena said, a bit of low confidence could be heard in her voice.

"Yeah, sure! They're running an annual Beginner's Tournament at the Suginami Community Center. It's an official tournament sponsored by Yajima Trading to introduce new battlers to the world of Gunpla. Pretty sure to be eligible you would have to have less than three years of Gunpla Battling experience under your belt." he responded, pulling out a piece of small paper and a pen.

He wrote down the address to the tournament's website and underlined the deadline for participation. "They're still accepting entries, but the tournament begins... at this date." scribbling it down on the paper, he handed it on over to Rena with all the information. "Definitely join the tournament! I hear it's a good experience; win or lose, battling others is always a great way to learn your weaknesses and conquer them, and maybe get ideas to improve your Gunpla!"

Waving goodbye to the group, the pangs of wanting to battle drew heavily on Andy. He was unfortunately due back at work for other deliveries, otherwise he'd be jumping at the chance to drag himself along with the group and participate in their training session. Not many opportunities directed him to the shops at G-Muse between school and his part-time job and he still hadn't thoroughly broken in the Daeg Hagal. But work was work, and the money was necessary for the Daeg Hagal. "Unfortunately I have to get back to work to make more delivers... however if you guys see me at the tournament next month, definitely say hi!"

Rena was greatful to Andy for showing her how and what to do about getting into the tournament. The idea that she would be entering such an event gave a bit of a chill down Rena's back, but she took a deep breath and looked back and Yuuhei and Torino. "We're doing this. We're going to enter the Beginners event, we may not win, we might even get thrown out on the first match, but we can do this!", Rena said to the two of them.

"We'll have to adjust the Genoace if that is what you are going with. I must warn you though, this will put you and you're....no, our skills to the test. As builders and you as a fighter.", Yuuhei said with sparks in his eyes. Then it occurred to her, why wait until the tournament to find out the extent of their work. She turned towards Andy and knowing all to well, wanted to ask him the one thing she knew he probably couldn't resist. "Excuse me. I know you have an errand to run and all. You don't suppose you'd have some time to spare would you?", Rena asked. The question was not specific as to why she asked, she only hopped he would get the idea as she picked up the Genoace in a anxious manner.

As Andy began to walk away, he stopped to turn around, curious as to her question. "Hmm? Well, I'm sure my uncle can get around to doing the remaining deliveries, but... I guess it would depend on what you need me to spare time on?" His eyes seemed to light up, getting the idea; the earlier talk about the tournament, Gunpla Battle and Gunpla in general was still on his mind.

Work was indeed work... but a little bit of fun when it comes to Gunpla could always take precedence over it. Especially since he had yet to test the Daeg Hagal since its completion beyond basic articulation tests... he really wanted to put it through the ringer to make sure it could stand up enough to the Gunpla that will be entering the competition. If her suggestion for his time were to be a Gunpla battle well... how could he possibly refuse?

It seemed Rena had caught Andy's attention, though he probably knew what she meant by spare time, she just had to say it. 'Well, you see....we haven't had a proper test with my Gunpla and I was wondering...", Rena was a little hesitant to ask because she only just met the guy. Yuuhei and Torino were hovering over her shoulder in anticipation, she looked back and gave them the stink eye to back off for a moment. "Would...would you be willing to have a gunpla battle? Like...a real gunpla battle? All the tests we ever did was in training and...I'm not completely sure of my abilities yet.", Rena said and asked.

All three of them got in a line up and bowed from the torso up. It was probably a bit strange to do that in public but the determination was real enough. Was she ready for to go down such a path? Would she be able handle her gunpla being smashed 100 times over in order to learn what her limitations were? She'd definitely find out. "I would be honored if you would please have a match with me.", she said.

Andy was a bit taken aback, showing a gesture of reassurance as he motioned for them to stop bowing. "Hahaha, no need to be so formal, it's embrassing!" he said nervously, shifting his gaze left and right as people stared at the group, a bead of sweat dropping from his forehead.

Regaining his composure, Andy gave a big thumbs up to the group, patting the pouch his Gunpla was in. "If it's a battle you want, I'll be glad to accomodate! The old man won't mind running the rest of the deliveries today! He probably needs the exercise anyways." He pointed to the Gunpla store across the way.

"They have a small public Battle Field at the Gunpla store here, or would you rather head on over to G-Muse for a larger venue? They have larger private training booths there." he asked, intimately familiar with both areas.

Rena straightened herself out from the bow she just executed, both Yuuhei and Torino showing sparkles in their eyes from their gratitude. Looking back and forth at each other, they smiled and looked back at Andy. Where to commence the battle was quite question because on one had the shop inside the arcade mall was close by but was a much smaller model. The systems at G-Muse were a bit further away to get too but had much large fields an interfaces. "Here is perfectly fine, I wouldn't want to take you out of your way especially if time is still a bit limited.", Rena said. "There are still plenty of opportunities to get to G-Muse later."

"Are you sure Rena? Supplies might be limited here.", Yuuhei said, worried about how it would go in the shops local system. There weren't much resources at this place either, so parts would be a bit tough if another Genoace O Custom was not in stock. "It's fine, this way it'll be more convenient for all of use.", Rena replied. "Well then, shall we?"

"Sure! I know the owner here, so I'll check in and see if the system's available for use, wait right here!" Andy rushed on over to the small Gunpla Store, where the owner was outside describing some Gunpla to a group of hopeful customers. As Andy approached the owner waved, ushering him on over to the group as some idle banter could be heard from a distance.

After a few minutes, the owner let out a big grin and slammed his hand on Andy's back with a thumbs up; the owner looked just as eager as Andy when it came to Gunpla! After conversing for another minute or so, having received the go-ahead Andy ran back up to the small group. "Looks like it's not in use right now, so we can definitely use it he says! He has it setup inside the main entrance of the store so the customers will be able to watch our bout, but other than that we're good to go!" Andy said, giving the group a thumbs up.

Leading the small group into the Gunpla Store, it was a typical setup; models of all kinds all over the place, situated in a way they wrap around the Battle Field in the center of the store. The Battlefield was composed of two connected platforms; larger than those in smaller shops, but much smaller than those available at G-Muse or other important venues like Nielsen Labs. Still, it was enough to give some wiggle room to combatants; the store owner frequently let the public play on the Battle Field with pre-made Gunpla as a means of selling his stock, or baiting people into the world of Gunpla Battle.

Andy stepped in front of one end of the platform and pulled out his GP Base. As he approached the platform and touched it, the Plavsky Particles within the platform started up their unique humming noise to signify the platform was booting up, ready for the battle about to unfold.

"PLEASE SET YOUR GP BASE."

Taking the GP Base he had just pulled out, he placed it onto the port on the platform, as it loaded up his Gunpla information. "Alright, let's do this!"

Rena and her friends waited for Andy to check with the owner, that was pretty impressive that he'd know the owner personally like that. Rena and the others stood at their table conversing on how Andy was probably the most energetic person they've met so far. It was not long before Andy came back with good news, the battle system was vacant and ready to go. Everyone followed behind Andy, looking about as people around the store awaited the battle to begin. There were lots of Gunpla one shelves and ones that were a little worn from battle use. It was a nostalgic atmosphere and it was time to get it on. "Alright, I'll give it my all.", she said. Walking up to the other end of the system, she placed the GP base onto the control console, the titles reading for the Geonace G Custom and her name on the Fighter and Builder slots. The Blue particles of the system began to flow and with that, she placed the Gunpla on the field. "Alright! I'm ready!", she shouted.

People from all over the store and from outside gathered for the spectacle.
