The Rains of Gunpla

Mud and dirt had soiled the clean outline of the Gunpla, consuming most of the frame work and plating which created some camouflage from the distance, but up close or zoomed in the design of the Victory would become a lot more obvious with its curved perking torso and bunny ears. Now positoned on its knees the rain would begin to melt the sticky mud from the defensive posture. "Another Zeta type?' The green optics of the Gunpla glaring up, camera focusing on the un-welcomed contender. "Dirty fighter." Were the only words grumbled by Sia as she leaned in against the holographic display.

The hand of the Hexa reached slowly for its beam pistol which was firmly placed on the waist piece. It was a simple design that wasn't flashy like a magnum of a 1917 model, it looked quite ugly actually but it wasn't about looks when you could fire quite the volley in a short period of time, beneficial to overwhelming the defenses of speedy suits like most Zeta types were. Sidearm was hard in the grip of Hexa and posed at the Zeta by the tree, an easy target if he isn't moving anymore but why the cover? Was he hiding the suppose GM Sniper II or was it the Re-GZ that's giving him trouble? Whatever, It's spray and pray time.

Sia pressed the trigger over and over again, pink pulses of energy left a warm impression on the Gunpla as they streaked towards the Zeta Gundam.

Mei-ling reacted quickly as she saw that the blurred figure approaching was "hostile", which all of them were, but it was still disconcerting to know she hadn't fired when she had the chance a minute ago. Gripping the yellow orbs, she pulled them off to the right and made the Sniper roll once out of the way of whatever incoming fire she most certainly would be receiving right about now and returned it to it's original sitting posture. Because of all the mud and herself being on a rising incline, the Sniper began sliding down from the slick terrain, moments later three bright lances of beam fire shot into the area she'd just vacated but by now Mei-ling was well out of harm's way and in a position to return fire. The rifle snapped up and within the span of a single second she fired off a single shot just slightly ahead of and in front of the enemy Gunpla, hoping the fear of return fire would either make the pilot of whomever had spotted her to either push on or stop. Either way, the large caliber bullet would kick up quite the amount of mud and foliage, providing perfect cover and ample time for her to escape and re-position.

As the Sniper came to a stop from it's downward slide, Mei-ling recovered and immediately brought it to stand, turning it around to run off deeper into the forest.

Inadvertently the RE-GZ continued on its path driving straight into the shot which impacted the shield covering the torso, however the solid ammunition easily defeated the weakened shield structure punching a hole trough it. Due the damage sustained by those two grenade blasts from earlier the torso armor was also significantly weaker. the armor piercing 90mm round punched a hole trough the front and once inside the fuselage said shell shattered in many lethal splinters that wold have turned a real life pilot into raw mincemeat on that very instant.

The unresponsive Refined Zeta fell aside rather in a sadistically comic fashion with its heavy metal fuselage scrapping the muddy landscape on its path.

" Battle Ended." The HUD display informed the surprised Misaki that she was now officially out of the match. Her delicate hands where shaking with excitement. Truth to be told it was unexpected she lasted as long as she did against in a free for all battle.

Jin had taken this moment to rest. He could only take the high octane for so much before wanting to settle down for a bit. However, that was not the only reason Jin was currently stationary against the body of a tree. The blond was actually waiting for his Hyper Mega Launcher to charge up. For the most part, his intended use seemed like it would be a waste, but it would make the battle a little easier for him to fight and potentially take an opponent or two out. Given, the HML wouldn't destroy the kits, but shut them down, rendering them immobile for the battle seeing as the Damage System was set to low. Then a few blasts of pink flashed by from his right, and a few more followed, connecting with the right side Zeta.

Jin hissed, not out of pain, but out of annoyance, "So close," he muttered under his breath," Looks like I can't really get a break and I just joined." The latter part, Jin was mainly joking about. He entered in the middle of the fight, so it was his fault.

He turned to the source of the shots, dropping the charge for the HML while doing so. The Zeta took another volley of shots, two luckily grazing the suit. The Zeta had been hit in the upper portion of his left leg, a shot taken to the waist, and another to the shield. Now that Jin was roughly aware of the attacker's location, he charged with the shield out front, as it took a few direct hits, slowly losing the power that was its anti beam coating, before it cracked, with a hole going through the shield itself. Two of the volleys, Jin had blocked successfully. And Jin simply evaded the last one while running with a jump before he drew his hip mounted beam sabers after dropping the HML.

The enemy was within range, seeing as Jin had managed get closer to the source of beam volleys. They were a bit hard to see, due to the mud, but their shape made them stand out a bit. Thus Jin went in for a six slash combo at close range, three slashes for the left saber. He held the second saber at the ready.

Each blast wouldn't be called an accurate shot but with the sheer numbers of them surely one would hit its target, ideally. Confirmation proved otherwise as two seemed to score across the frame of the Zeta type, which could have been lethal or rather damaging but she didn't have time to observe the effects. It was charging right at her but the problem on the Victory not moving may just allow out to get shot by the other two, as this location seemed pretty prime from there optics. "And here they come..." Sia placed the free arm out in front of the Hexa and activated the beam shield, prodding out a nice pink defense against the slaughtering arsenal. Whatever round stuck the field emitter earlier by the sniper begun to take its toll, in a puff of smoke the beam shield would deactivate and grant the Zeta type a fresh arm to go slashy slashy on.

If the battle damage had been set to a more true setting she would've lost the entire arm easily and perhaps a bit more at now it only just ceased to be useful. As the Zeta was about to wind up for another attack, Sia worked on a ploy to counter it before it could bring another wave of vectors onto the Hexa. Drawing the beam saber in contest would be unwise seeing as the other Gundam had two of them out, though she did have the remaining beam pistol on her waist. Under the strings of Sia the Hexa would grab the pistol that was firmly on the latch of the modular piece of armor, resting in its palm as the british amateur begun to press the firing button several times, all the shots intended for the chest. While the beams were flying to the close blank target the vulcans would also fire, but instead of being more or less random shots the vulcans were set to fire at the Zeta's right hand.

Mei-ling turned the Sniper around as she noticed no bright streaks of deadly beam fire coming towards her, no flashing of gunfire wanting to demolish her, not even a surprise attack from up above. There was no sign of her previous assailant and for a moment the young woman thought that perhaps they'd run off to fight another battle somewhere else, or were attacked by one of the others most likely still fighting. Utilizing the visor's enhanced zoom capabilities, she used it to scout out the direction she'd just run away from, making sure it was actually clear before directing the Sniper back towards it. It wasn't long until Mei-ling found the disabled, mud covered Re-GZ laying face down on the ground, apparently disabled and inactive .. she was surprised the shot had actually hit anything. Her tiny victory was short-lived though as she heard the distant sound of intense combat further into the part of the forest the Sniper had deployed in.

Sia must be engaging the new challenger, whomever he or she was. Though she entertained the thought of simply sitting down and using the fallen Re-GZ as a decoy, Mei-ling felt it would be more appropriate to simply head towards the commotion and take a position where one could observe without any qualms of being spotted.

He was at point blank range with the Hexa, and sadly Jin had missed the pistol on the Victory's side, but he had managed to overload their beam shield for a bit. And then the Victory began firing point blank at Jin with the beam pistol. Luckily they were weaker than beam rifles over all, but they could also fire a whole hell of a lot faster. The first series got through, hitting all over the torso, with two of the five out of the volley grazing the cockpit. Jin knew if this had been a real fight between MS, this would have probably have been the end, or at least near the end for Jin. Luckily though, it was not. He drew his shield, on his left hand, catching the second volley and the third volley of the beam pistol shots. Given, the shield didn't do too terribly much aside from putting something between him and the shots, skewing some of their aim. And it was during this that Jin missed the vulcan fire, and luckily for the Victory, the vulcans hit the hand and the saber that was in it, causing the saber to fail and the hand to become useless for the fight. "Gah...this sucks...hrm. Time to make do with that I got." And with this, Jin was fully aware of the fact that his suit could potentially cease functioning soon. It was what it was.

Then, slightly worried as to what was too come, Jin had an idea, an explosive idea, but he had to set up for it. He used his left beam saber, launching another three slash combo, before dashing back a bit and launching two grenades at the Victory, with Jin excitedly saying,"This is...THE END!!" only to add a more realistic assumption,"...hopefully."

And for a brief moment, Jin thought about tapping into the BioSensor if the enemy could still move, but quickly shook himself out of that idea. He wanted to get back into Gunpla fights without relying on the Bio Sensor as he had previously. Jin just wanted to get as far as he could on his own, especially for his first fight in ages.

Squeeze upon squeeze with an escort of heat and light still didn't bring the Zeta type down to its knees. On thought Sia found this to be particularly weird, it was a light type with lackluster collect of armor armor due to the wish of keeping competent flight characteristics while operating in the atmosphere, it was also point black with the handheld weaponry which would be more optimal for the beam pistol and lastly these were beams being fired, not 90mm rounds, they melt and go through armor, even gundarium. Though this could all just be a layer of anti-beam coating plastered on the Gunpla, he did cheat by entering a game already in session, why not? Shots even missed despite the Zeta being a wide target with its bulky shield, no damage done to the Zeta type had any indications of slow down but the one hand.

As the beam saber came into position the beam pistol was swiftly dropped and the last remaining beam shield was applied to block the attacks, though on the first momvement the beam was able to overpower the shield and damage the entire arm component, bringing the energy shield to an end. While the Zeta took a move back Sia figured this would be the end... Or would it? In a fuss of steam and hiss the top part of the core fighter ejected from the mid section, the lower piece folding over the red cockpit area to make the nose while the Hexa head popped down, the aircraft quickly jousted up into the air and away from the Zeta. A climb for altitude above the forest was performed.

The grenades would make contact of what was left of the Hexa which was most of the body and the legs, securing a good hit on an immobile target that no one could miss, especially being this close. "Only sodding vulcans? All my luck." The regrets of not using the V-Dash equipment were surely settling in.

Mei-ling had arrived during the later parts of the Hexa and Zeta's battle, their rather explosive climax ending in what appeared to be the latter's victory; though it was hard to see from all the fallen trees, scattered foliage, smoke and heavy rain. She frowned a little, biting her lip as she expressed silently her very disappointment at the results. Maneuvering the Sniper around the carnage, she caught sight of the Hexa's unknown assailant, it's right side facing her. Sitting the humble GM down against the muddy ground she raised the rifle and took aim, estimating that he was about a hundred or so yards away through the readings coming from her Gunpla's visor. She noted that there wasn't any real cover between her and the target she was aiming at so Mei-ling would only have one shot at this before needing to deal with a head-on attack or a wild chase through the forest.

Visibility being as it was, even with the added benefits of the Sniper's visor, she had to aim for the largest mass once more; similar to what she did with the Hexa's beam shield except this time it wasn't a glowing target but an obscured, shadowy figure. Which meant the backpack attached to the Zeta. It did seem familiar though .. it's outline reminding her of the RGZ-95 ReZEL. Though the head seemed to be a bit misshapen. A custom modification, perhaps?

It's sights lined up accordingly, Mei-ling's finger lightly tapped the left orb and the Sniper responded by pulling the over-sized rifle's trigger, letting loose a single shot. Lowering the rifle slightly afterwards, she kept her eye on the suit from a distance to see how it would react.

Jin was happy, or excited, or something else. All he was currently aware of was that a positive emotion currently filled his person. After a hard battle, and a lot of luck, the blonde haired man seemed victorious. And with his MS actually jumping with joy, he had expressed his emotions. That was until a shot had pierced through the ZZ's backpack, rendering it mostly useless aside from the fact that it still had his beam rifle that would hopefully still work. The shot had managed to send the Zeta stumbling over to the left a bit before falling down. "What the...," Jin explained," there are more of them?" And he started to look around for the assailant but sadly he couldn't really see one. And then an idea had popped into his head. I got sent left....so it had to come from my right side...but I don't really see anyone. Slowly he made the suit get up,"maybe they have some camo or something...hrm...then again, the shot was really loud and sounded rather far off....but that could also be because of the rain....damn rain."

Jin started scratching his head," Oh well, standing here out of in the open won't help at all." Thus, Jin had trucked the ZZ into a denser forested area to his right, closer to wherever the gunshot had come from, holding his somewhat useless shield infront of him, seeing as it still had some effect with regular ammo. But he also held the shield out infront of him simply because it had made him feel better about what might come.

With mere vulcans left victory was going to be impossible obtain against a GM Sniper type and the Zeta Gundam, both having Gundarium in its frame which made the 60mm projectiles a little bit useless in the situation. Instead of playing a game of tag and frustration Sia would offer good sportsmanship and actually resign from the battle. A prompt on each terminal would signal the Victory pilot had surrendered in the battlefield which left the core fighter piece to fall to the ground at an alarming rate as it had no more control.

The shadow that was her target disappeared for a moment, it having neither moved nor attempted to evade. Hmm .. perhaps it isn't what I thought it was, then. That thought crossed Mei-ling's mind before her eyes registered the announcement of Sia's dropping out of the battle. So she had survived, the only other reason for withdrawal being that the only way Sia could have survived was relinquishing everything but the Victory's core fighter. That .. sucked. Any further contemplation was interrupted as she caught a glimpse of movement through the Sniper's visor. Whomever she had shot at was coming towards her .. or at least the general direction she was in. Silence passed as the young woman contemplated moving and though the chances of her getting detected were slim, she knew the next few minutes would be crucial.

She would stand her ground. The Sniper's rifle raised itself once more as it took up a silent vigil, it's pilot waiting and watching even as the storm raged ever on.

The trek was surprisingly rather quiet, only to be disturbed with a notice that said the Victory had withdrawn, "hrm...well, I guess it is down to one on one then," Jin shrugged. It was to be what it was. After the announcement however, everything was quiet on the mobile homefront. The rain made it easy to hide the movement and somewhat hide his location, but if Jin's last opponent was a sniper sadly, the rain wouldn't do much. However, the rain also made it harder for him as well, seeing as he couldn't see the remaining opponent, nor could he hear their movements if they were making any.

It was during this time of tranquility that Jin took to checking over his equipment. "I have.....one beam saber. I kinda wanna say five grenades left, and my rifle which should hopefully not jam seeing as I haven't used it in a good while, hopefully." Now, it would be the fun part for Jin. How does one find someone who does not want to be found. The blonde had no real answer to this aside from casually walking aimlessly towards the general direction of whoever shot him. It was a plan that was lacking in many merits, but it was a plan. And then an idea popped into his head. Again, not one of many merits, but still something to do.

He put his right arm in front of him, with it aiming at a trajectory of about 45 degrees up, and a little to the right of his current position before launching a grenade and hearing an explosion. It was a bit of a potshot, but it served to have one of two purposes that Jin planned out. Either by luck, Jin would manage to catch the evasive sniper with the grenade which seemed unlikely for the most part, or it would work as a diversion, hopefully, getting the sniper to potentially give away their position. "Four left," He said, counting down the grenades he had left, as he hoped one of his two goals were achieved.

The silence was finally broken as the darkness was marred by a momentary flash of bright orange light, which brought Mei-ling's attention over to it. It was still a fair distance away, but she was certain that whomever was heading towards her was trying to bait her out. It was a sound tactic, but she knew how to fight and pilot the Sniper, and had a tried and true counter-tactic of her own.

Waiting. By blending into the environment she would soon find an opportunity to strike, and Mei-ling had enough patience to fill a black hole.

After the explosion, Jin had heard nothing. Rather, nothing out of the ordinary due to the heavy rainfall. Did it work, he asked himself, shrugging as he did so. I don't really hear guns or more explosions going off, so I am guessing not. And thus the Zeta continued to trudge through the forest, veering to the left instead of the right, where he had aimed. Surely, if he had not obtained a reaction of some degree, he had been aiming in the wrong place; but Jin was going to be a bit more careful now, seeing as he had half of his grenades left over. Arguably, they were probably the strongest weapon he had aside from the HML which he had left on the ground a little ways away. Jin sighed out of annoyance,"Why am I so careless with all of my stuff. That big beam saber could've come in handy earlier." Or maybe later, he thought to himself, but it was too late to backtrack now. Especially if the enemy was nearby, he didn't want to get surprised in a back attack of sorts.

So, the Zeta slowly trudged through the forest in search of the illusive sniper with surprisingly no action on his end.

Minutes passed by until Mei-ling saw a shape pass in front of her scope. He appeared to be clueless as to where she was, which proved to be a small advantage as she adjusted the rifle and took aim. Though the trees were in the way, she knew there would be an opening for her soon .. so she waited. Then it came and the Sniper translated what came next with a pull of the rifle's trigger, firing off a single shot down range aimed towards the Zeta's chest. Mei-ling then waited again and watched for the result and reaction.

As Jin was wandering through the forest, he heard a sharp crack of a rifle that did not sound terribly far off, noted with an,"Eh?" coming from the blonde. With that, a single sniper round shot through the Zeta's weakened chest with a sharp crack. If this had been a real gundam fight, he would have lost, but this was also on the lowest damage setting. After the shot, the Zeta just keeled over, falling over to its side.

With that, four words appeared on Jin's HUD,"BATTLE ENDED...BATTLE OVER." He was somewhat disappointed that he didn't win the fight, but he was not terribly upset over it. After all, he was the one who had joined after the match had started. And he just sighed. He had managed to have fun in his first fight in ages and that was all he could really ask for.
