Stepping up to the Gunpla Battle System, Rena could hear the system's AI start up. "Gunpla Battle Start Up! Beginning Plavsky Particle Dispersal, Model Damage Mode Set to B." "Field 13: Tundra" "Please Set You GP Base! Please Set Your Gunpla!" Almost immediately following, Rena placed the GP base on the control console in the middle with her information displaying on the machine. From her hand she placed the Genoace G Custom, the model holding the Hyper Bazooka in hand and shoulder with the Beam Rifle securely stored on the right hip latch. As she let it go, the system scanned the Gunpla and almost instantly, the head bobbled and they eyes flashed, letting her know the Gunpla was ready to go. Grabbing the spherical controls that formed in front of her, Rena went right for it. "Rena Kazuto, Genoace G Custom, Here I go!", She said. The Genoace G Custom was then catapulted out of the starting gate which disappeared behind her soon after. The Genoace landed after that and Rena began taking a quick look at her surroundings. The Tundra setting had created a lightly dense forest area in a mountain like terrain, all covered in sheets of snow and ice. The Weather wasn't too bad, but the skies were definitely dropping in snow. Visibility was slightly limited so long range combat would probably be hindered if the Gunpla wasn't set up for it. Almost immediately, Rena began moving the Genoace out from the open space and into the thicket of trees and vegetation. There was no telling where Andy would show up, so she would have to show patience for now."Alright, I can do this. Just use what I know and I should do fine, but from the Gunpla he showed us earlier, it might have better ability out here.", she said. (Not sure if launching takes any AP so I didn't count it. Movement made 1 of 8 AP used.) |

Andy placed his Daeg Hagal on the platform in front of his GP base. The particles within the platform buzzed to life as the Daeg Hagal was scanned. Soon after, the green sensors on the unit's forehead and skirt plates lit up, indicating the Gunpla was active. The arms stretched out and flexed slightly, as if loosening up for combat; the right arm was equipped with a large folding rifle, while the left arm mounted a large anti-beam shield. Two beam sabers protruded from a rack on its back, while what looked to be a pair of external CIWS were mounted to an area under the vents on its chest; a typical set of armaments for a general purpose mobile suit. The rifle unfolded into its long rifle mode while the left hand caught the area under the barrel, the Daeg Hagal lowering its stance for launch procedures. "Andy Rutledge and Daeg Hagal; launching!" The thrusters on the Daeg Hagal's upper back and lower legs lit up as it launched out from the platform into the icy cold tundra landscape spread before it. The snow whipped around the cameras as Andy's hands clutched the sphere controls in his combat area, decreasing his thruster speed as he descended down towards the ground. While Andy had gotten a good look at the Genoace itself, he never did see the armaments it was setup to use in battle, though it was most likely equipped with a DODS Rifle typical of a Gundam AGE mobile suit. For now he would stick to long range. As the thrusters in the legs and feet began to light up, the snow melted and blew away as the Daeg Hagal began hovering across the ground's surface. In its current configuration, the Daeg Hagal was better suited to ground combat, making use of its thrusters for high jumps rather than actively operating in an aerial role. Considering the size of the field, it wouldn't be long until he caught a glimpse of the Genoace... or rather not long before the Genoace caught a glimpse of the Daeg Hagal; red kind of stands out really well in the stark white tundra around the two. The area in which Rena was walking the Genoace was actually quite beautiful and for a virtual reality system to copy such crazy terrain and weather was sheer brilliance. She continued to walk along a narrow path lined with a good amount of trees, Rena needed to make sure she didn't get caught in this spot or she'd lose at a distance if spotted. Deciding to not waste any time she sent the Genoace into a boosted dash through the woods and came to a slightly more open area. That's when the sensors picked up the target moving in from the opposite side of the field. Stopping in her tracks, Rena boosted straight up, but not to high and held her altitude for a moment to get a visual on the Daeg Hagal which was moving quite fast on the ground. "So that's what the mobile suit looks like to scale with this environment. Well, here goes nothing I suppose.", she said softly. Taking aim, she fired two rounds from the Hyper Bazooka about 8 meters ahead of where the Daeg Hagal was moving. Rena then moved back down to the ground and began moving out let to avoid getting caught to quickly. There was not much she could do right now, so it was all up to chance to see how this would go. OOC: lol, smallest post I've ever done for a combat post. (2 Movement (2 AP), 2 Boost (2 AP), 2 Bazooka Rounds Fired (4 AP), 8/8 AP used.) Edited by Stargazer, Feb 19 2015, 06:58 PM.

The sensors began to blare within the combat platform, indicating that an attack had targeted the Daeg Hagal. The Daeg Hagal's head turned upward as the Genoace came into view from the sky; it was equipped with a large bazooka-type weapon. Gripping at the controls as the attacks came towards the unit, Andy pulled back and swerved to the side, performing a half-spin, kicking up a blast of snow as the leg thrusters increased their output. Reversing course and heading towards, the first bazooka rounds would get caught up in the cloud of snow, exploding on impact with the ground and creating a blast of dirty and rock that would blanket the area now behind the Daeg Hagal. As the Genoace began to descend after its sudden attack, Andy forced the control spheres forward as the Daeg Hagal's course corrected itself, charging toward the general location of the Genoace. Leveling his long beam rifle in the general landing area of his target, the rifle began to hum to life as it charged up. He could catch a slight glimpse of the Genoace's bright blue color scheme against the backdrop of the tundra's forest; aiming for that, after three seconds of building up its charge, a high-output particle blast accelerated down the barrel of the rifle towards its intended target. The rifle, in this configuration, was built for ranged targeting; paired with the Daeg Hagal's large head-mounted sensors, a little bit of snow wasn't going to hinder it's targeting capabilities. Stopping short near the edge of the forest, the Daeg Hagal moved into cover behind a snow-covered hill of trees, getting down on one knee; the Daeg Hagal then yet again leveled its rifle and after a brief charge, fired a second blast towards the Genoace. Only a few minutes had passed since the Gunpla Battle match had begun and already had the battle saw its first few shots of the fight. It was a magnificent first exchange of fire as the two bazooka rounds Rena fired were dodged. The Geneoace G Custom was on the move when her sensors detected a lock on, she hadn't realized Andy had a line of fire so soon. As he fired, her speed allowed the Genoace to avoid the first shot narrowly as it was a pretty accurate shot to begin with. Rena tried to stop before the second shot got to her, but the blast went right through the barrel of the Hyper Bazooka and rendered it useless. Though it didn't explode, she had to ditch it, so the weapon was dropped right then and there to avoid useless baggage from weighing her down. Turning on a straight away that faced the Daeg Hagal, She equipped the DODs Rifle to the right hand of the Genoace and decided to get in a little closer. An opening in the tree line as Rena moved revealed that the enemy Gunpla was behind a hill, not the trees, that was going to be a problem. "Damn, he's hidden himself pretty good, if I move carelessly, he'll get me.", she thought to herself. In a split second choice she Boosted up into the sky once more and as she could see the Daeg Hagal, she targeted where the rifle was. If she could destroy his ranged weapon, then just maybe Rena had a chance to do some damage. "Here goes nothing.", Rena let loose a single shot from the DODs Rifle, the spiraling pink beam making its way to the red and white enemy gunpla. As she free fell to the ground she picked up Rena speed once again to draw Andy into a closer ranged battle. As Andy and the Daeg Hagal did not suspect the sudden jump tactic, the DODs Rifle's shot tore through the long barrel of the rifle as the unit stepped back in response to the jump. As he had already been in preparation to fire another shot, the barrel seemed to spark and light up, as if it were about to explode. Andy quickly turned to his configuration options from the control sphere and quickly clicked on the purge option. The bolts holding the barrel in place with the rifle detonated, purging the long barrel from the beam rifle. The Daeg Hagal quickly boosted backwards out of cover as the long barrel of the rifle exploded, causing the Daeg Hagal to leave the protective cover of the hill. For all intents and purposes, the Daeg Hagal's long range capabilities had been eliminated... "That was close! However..." ... however as the Daeg Hagal boosted back to keep pace with the Genoace, it leveled the damaged rifle directly at the target, holding it against the shield positioned in front of its body. Though the long barrel had been destroyed, the bulk of the rifle was still in tact. The barrel began to glow as it let out a few beam shots in unison; two shots discharged from the weapon in the general direction of the Genoace, followed soon after by another two. While their accuracy was far from that provided by the longer barrel, the weapon was still functioning despite Rena's efforts to take away the Daeg Hagal's ranged capabilities. Though she was already back on the ground, Rena could tell that she managed to do something worth damaging to the Daeg Hagal. She could hear an explosion and a plume of smoke, albeit a small one, come up from behind the hill she just fired at. Andy seemed to be alright though because Rena's sensors told her that the Gunpla was still moving at full capacity. She had to figure out what her game plan was going to be now, because Andy was still at full strength This is proven true when the Daeg Hagal emerged and fired at her yet again. Not wanting to loose her momentum, the Genoace G Custom bought up its shield mid body, the first shot being defended against. Rena Dodged the second one by gliding to the right a little bit, the second blast just barely missing its mark. "Damn, the shield probably can't take another beam like that. I'll have to reserve it for defending from ballistics and melee, does he even have ballistics?", Rena thought. She would have to draw him in close then, because that seemed like the only possible way to get to Andy at thins point "Well then, I guess I'll just have it change it up!", Rena shouted. With her boosted courage to go forward, Rena spun the left hand to grab the deployed beam saber out of the shield. In that instance she boosted forward towards the Daeg Hagal with all she could, they were close enough to force the distance. However, Rena couldn't let Andy gain any counter chances. She took aim and fired the DODs Rifle, the spiraling beam making its way down range at the Daeg Hagal's position. With the Daeg Hagal's anti-beam shield already in a defensive position, the blast from the DODs Rifle spun in and scattered across its surface. The surface of the shield was charred and warped in a spiral pattern as the attack dissipated; while a normal beam attack would've simply dispersed across the surface, the metal pieces below the shield were starting to show; attesting to the unique capabilities of a DODs Rifle. "Those DODs Rifles are pretty powerful and accurate! If I didn't reinforce my shield it'd be pretty much useless right now." he said to Rena, a grin across his face. Stopping his backwards retreat after receiving the attack, the Daeg Hagal moved what was left of his rifle onto its rear mount and reached for one of the beam sabers on its back. Drawing it out, the bright pink blade charged on, slightly longer in length compared to a typical beam saber. Boosting forward in a sudden movement to try and throw the Genoace off guard, while still holding up its shield, the Daeg Hagal swerved to the Genoace's right side and swung down with its beam saber as the Genoace charged in, in an attempt to bypass the shield and sever the right arm from the unit's body. Rena's efforts to come into a closer distance with the Daeg Hagal proved to be better than expected as it went into a defensive posture as she fired. The Shield Andy used looked damaged from what she could see, however, the impact of the spiraling beam was shrugged off. This was an indication that while the Daeg Hagal was pretty bare with weapons, it's balance was well tuned to be able to take heavy hits and return fire quicker than most. Rena had to take this into account for future references, if she met him at the tournament, then this information would come in handy. Observing her opponents movements, the Daeg Hagal changed its direction and was now closing in. Oh! Here he comes!", Rena mumbled. She was a little slow on the draw to determine what Andy was going to do, but as he swerved to her right, she realized he was going for the right arm. In a quick burst of the thrusters, the Genoace G Custom swiveled to the right in order to face the Daeg Hagal head on, the left hand swiveled as the saber ignited, the weapon risen up just into to block the opposing blade. "I maybe new to fighting, but don't get cocky on my watch!", Rena said with a bit of friendly competitive talk. The Saber was stopped just short of meeting with the shoulder armor of the right arm, a bit of paint burning due to the residual heat. Rena took this moment to bring the DODs Rifle to point, aiming at the upper left leg , she didn't want to destroy the Gunpla completely. In fact, she hated destroying another gunpla if it could be helped and since this was not a space field, she could try and take him out with minimum damage. She fired the Rifle once, the spiraling beam prepared to do the damage. "Goooooo!", She shouted. (-1 from previous posts dodge, -1 for movement, -2 for blocking, -2 for the attack. 5/7 AP used) |

The Daeg Hagal's body twisted further to the right, if in anticipation of the move, as its upper rear thrusters engaged. The saber's blade retracted itself to a small point as the Daeg Hagal's rear thrusters ignited in conjunction with the leg thrusters, throwing it further to the side and behind the Genoace to disengage the blade lock as it rotated around the Gunpla's right side, ultimately avoiding the attack as it splashed into the ground kicking up debris. Due to the proximity however the bits of rock, paired with the high heat and spiraling force of the DODS Rifle, did burn away the surface coloring on the whole side of the knee, leaving bits of melted metal and charred plastic exposed and ultimately making the right leg's outer upper hardpoint non-functional. As this happened the shield came up full swing as if it were a weapon... and it was in fact! the lower portion of the shield let out a particle hum as a short beam cutter emitted from the tip of the shield, aiming for the Genoace's back as the Daeg Hagal gained distance. "You shouldn't be afraid to damage your opponent's Gunpla... if you had aimed for my torso you probably would've gotten me good!" Andy retorted, as if sensing her dislike of inflicting harm to the Gunpla. True enough, even the shot to the leg was too close to call, however as she did not aim for the vitals, it was simple enough to anticipate the attack and avoid it. "If you can't put in the guts to go in for the kill against your opponent's Gunpla, you won't get very far!" "He dodged that huh? At this range it should have hit.", Rena mumbled. From her position she watched as Andy disengaged his blade lock with the beam sabers and dodge the DODs rifles shot at close range. That was some skill the guy had there because that beam blast was close enough to cause a critical had Andy's Daeg Hagal not blocked it. She could hear Andy criticizing her desire to come to an easier end, no matter, because Rena was watching his movements when he tried to get behind her. At the same time Andy moved around, she decided to boost forward to get away from him, the slash with the shield blade coming no where near her Genoace. That would have been bad if the thrusters had gotten hit, she would have been rendered useless in that situation. Turning around, she aimed the DOD's Rifle once more. "Well. if I can bring a quicker end by taking out vital parts like a leg on the ground then doesn't that mean game over anyway?", she responded. Rena fired two shots from the DOD's Rifle one at each side of Andy's gunpla. "I'll do what it takes to make sure both parties are satisfied with their fight.", She shouted. "Even if that means letting the G here get smashed to do it!". OOC: Current theme is a short version of Allied Force. ![]() (-2 now and 1 next turn for the Dodge, -4 for the attack, -2 for movement. 7/8 AP used) Edited by Stargazer, Mar 15 2015, 10:27 PM.

Being drawn deeper into the battle, Andy didn't respond verbally and didn't even pause as he continued to engage the Genoace. With his shield already out in front, Andy angled the shield to take both of the shots as he boosted forward towards the Genoace, not even taking a moment to think about the actions. One DODs shot melted through the tip of the shield, destroying the beam cutter on one end but ultimately being stopped, while the other shot created a second spiral-like burn into the surface of the shield towards the top, pushing aside the plastic on top into a melted mess and revealing the metal sheet beneath, which was now warped and cracking from two consecutive direct shots from the DODS Rifle. It would not survive another shot... and after noting this, Andy thought to himself he'd have to further reinforce it for later battles. Using the destruction of the beam cutter as cover as it let out a small explosion, the shield was ejected towards the Genoace as the Daeg Hagal quickly dropped its saber and reached around for his beam rifle. In one quick motion, mostly thanks to its reduced weight with the long barrel having been destroyed, the beam rifle came out firing as soon as it was drawn, sending four quick shots in an equally close proximity to the Genoace. One quickly made the finishing touches on the damaged shield, destroying it and the remaining beam cutter components on the underside to create an explosive smokescreen, while the other three shots barreled towards the Genoace at short range. This was one of the most decisive battles Rena had ever experienced so far, the fact that such an opponent could give her an adrenalin rush was great. In her less than to years of experience, Rena had fought people who were tough like Andy, but none of them gave her the feeling of satisfaction. Rena managed to do more damage to the Daeg Hagal but not by much and when he charged forwards, she was caught in a bit of a surprise. When the shield hit the ground, she didn't expect Andy to have thrown it near her instead of at her; She brought the Genoace's shield up to defend in response. "Geez!", she complained. The exploding shield caught Rena off guard once more before she realized it was to throw her off. One beam scrapped the upper left collar armor, another went passed her by which was a relief that her missed, but she did not account for the third shot to hit lower left torso which left a large hole. This caused warning alerts to blare up as malfunctions in the torso were being detected. "Darn, now what? I have to take him out!", she mumbled. Realizing how close up Andy was moving up, Rena decided to meet him head on and boosted forwards at him. Both Gunpla where close enough for her to make the move she wanted to try. With the beam rifle, she fired twice at the Daeg Hagal dead on. What would happen now? The next few moves would probably decide the out come, but she wanted to make sure to give it her all.
