"Alright everybody! It's been a long day and many of our contestants have been blown away by their competition. However, it's now time for the best 16 of the Gunpla Battle Beginner's Tournament to strut their stuff~!" Announcer-san, mic in hand, stood on the stage overlooking the eight Gunpla Battlefields that had been setup within the grounds.

Each Battle Field consisted of seven fields set together, creating a moderately large battlefield for the contestants. With all eight setup within the community center's indoor field area, there was still plenty of room between the fields as well as a spectator and participant area.

GUNPLA BATTLE COMBAT MODE, STARTUP. MODEL DAMAGE LEVEL, SET TO B.

The systems began to hum to life as the Plavsky Particles started to build up, indicating it was time to begin.

PLEASE, SET YOUR GP BASE.

"Everyone is now setting their GP Base! The fields are generating now... looks like we have a nice variety of fields today for everyone to tear each other apart!"

BEGINNING PLAVSKY PARTICLE DISPERSAL... FIELD 7, RUINS. PLEASE SET YOUR GUNPLA.

"And with this, everyone has set their Gunpla... it's time to....!" with the audience cheering in the background, Announcer-san pointed her mic out towards the battle fields.

BATTLE START.

Mei-ling was amazed at her progress, despite all the opposition's formidable Gunpla, she was proud to have made it to the Top 16 with her humble Sniper. Although it did not come through unscathed, though the damage to the Gunpla itself was surprisingly light due to the fact most of the people matched up against her had very flashy, straight-forward tactics. They wanted fights on open fields, not sneaky shots from behind camouflaged cover. Beam saber against beam saber, fist fights, gun fights. Little did they expect until it was too late. Most of her matches ended rather .. abruptly. Too quickly for the audience to cheer for but it was effective in both the shock and awe it induced within the crowd. Besides, Mei-ling always quickly pulled the Sniper off the GP base and ran off before any applause could be given or heard by the poor girl.

She still couldn't believe her luck though and was happy to have had a place to practice and sharpen her skills again. The club in Torrington Academy was almost like a second home now. It felt like ages ago and it was, but now Mei-ling found herself back within the familiar confines of the virtual cockpit, two yellow orbs hovering below her hands and a view screen before her simulating what would soon be the field of choice for her next match through the eyes of the humble GM Sniper. Mei-ling was prepared, ready and confident. Though the thought of facing off her friends ... well .. anyways she hoped that wouldn't happen and that their matches would go well.

It was soon time for the battle to start and Mei-ling let out a slow, exhale as her hands took hold of the yellow orbs. As the Sniper launched and the environment changed from blue to an assortment of vibrant colors, the young woman took note of the environment around her. Ruins. Not just simple ruins located in a field surrounded by a few fallen bits of rock and what might have once been a building or two .. but a full-scale ruin of a city. The tactical advantages were apparent and the fact that she was spit out right in what appeared to be the field's center was appreciated by her. She had armed the Sniper with it's standard 90mm Long Rifle and a shield clipped onto it's backpack. A simple load out but it was hers, tried and true and had served her well. Though it lacked the penetration and precision of the beam rifle, it made up for it in having better range and afforded her good camouflage. One could follow the origins of a shot from a beam rifle through the dissipation of it's particles in the air, but it would prove much more challenging and difficult to follow a solid, physical round and trace it back to it's origin.

Not really having much time before her opponent would most likely arrive, Mei-ling searched around for her first vantage point and spotted a tall, ruined skyscraper located near her. From what she could see it had many places for her to peek out and fire from, one entrance and several exits from the more obvious openings towards the lower levels. This would be an obvious choice for her but she instead decided to go to the building next to it instead. A parking lot in equal disrepair, overgrown with vegetation, covering many areas across it's multiple levels. The overgrowth would provide her camouflage, the building itself her cover. And the darkness the skyscraper besides it wrought would provide the natural cover of shadows. By the time her opponent arrived, Mei-ling would be ready.

In the meantime, she would think about her opponent.

Having made it as far as he had, Andy was obviously surprised. Running through with just the basic Daeg Hagal's armaments, he had managed to make his way through quite the few competitors, using his own original Gunpla. While he had already gone through a shield up to this point, he was glad he had spent the time to make a spares of his equipment. Even under B-Mode settings, the wear had been getting to it and the rifle. The bout with Rena earlier in the week, followed by various testing went to prove despite most of the parts being hand-made, they could take the hits and pressure on like any other Gunpla even with a bit of wear.

Now he was in the top sixteen... up until this point he had yet to even use the optional equipment he had prepared for the Daeg Hagal; though he knew better now, that from here on out the competition would be even stronger. As he placed his Gunpla onto the platform, he folded the rifle into its pistol position and attached a beam machinegun to the rifle, confirming the latches were secure. While he had a sniper rifle attachment that seemed like a better choice, he was going up against a GM Sniper; he wouldn't be able to outsmart a fighter specialized in such an area, especially when he himself was unfamiliar with taking advantage of the battlefield as a sniper. Just in case, he also attached the Daeg Hagal's optional CIWS, sliding them into their slots under the chest vents.

Xiao Mei-Ling; she put her GM Sniper to good use, from what he had glimpsed between his own matches. As he was no match for her as a sniper, he put that idea aside the moment he saw the field load up across the battle platform. The Beam Machinegun attachment would provided the Daeg Hagal well-needed brute force in such an environment. There was plenty of cover, but there was no way to tell from where she would be firing from until she fired. So there was only one thing to do...

The Daeg Hagal launched from its platform into the field, landing towards the edge of the city. The sun was setting behind him, with the city in front of him. Skyscrapers spiraling towards the sky were visible in the distance, though their decay was apparent. The ruined city was the perfect playing ground for a sniper. Holding its now larger weapon in both hands, the Daeg Hagal's leg thrusters kicked in as it began skirting across the surface and headed towards the city, keeping his back to the sunset.

Mei-ling's thoughts finally ceased to flow as her mind zoned into the battle that would undoubtedly require the fullest of her attentions. She knew to keep the Sniper away from the openings of the parking lot, instead keeping it hidden behind a series of semi-intact pillars that once served to keep the parking lot itself upright, was now being used as her cover. This building would be her bunker, a perfect roost to nest in with slits large enough for her to fire out of. She had taken note of her surroundings. The multi-level lot itself was surrounded on all sides by streets crisscrossing North, South and East of her position. The Western approach was covered by the skyscraper's massive frame, with two roads instead resting on both it's left and right, serving as a one-way point of entry for cars entering and leaving the lot itself.

She couldn't see very well to the North due to the pillars in front of her, but she could still peek out and fire off a fairly accurate shot down that approach if need be. There was also the fact vegetation had completely covered up the Eastern side with a thick net of green vines and leaves, the Southern was also partially devoured from the East's invasion, so it offered enough natural cover and camouflage to work for her instead of against. Overall she had chosen a relatively safe area to set up for her first shot. The sun was setting, it's orange rays blocked by the skyscraper casting a peaceful aura over the ruined city streets. The Sniper leaned against the pillars, visor sliding down, with it's rifle at the ready.

The sun is her ally. The darkness her friend.

"Alriiighty then..." the Daeg Hagal's hover mode kicked off as the feet landed squarely on the ruined pavement below.

The unit looked up towards the skycrapers opposite the setting sun. He was closer now, enough to consider them 'within range.' He was most likely in range of the sniper too, but the fact that he hadn't gotten shot at yet either meant they weren't currently looking in this direction, or he was out of their range. Either worked for him.

Walking over to what looked to be an open parking lot next to an abandoned store, the Daeg Hagal slammed its shield into the ground, angling it just right to act as both a stand for its rifle, and as defense against the sniper. The Daeg Hagal sat down and propped itself within the ruins of the store next to the lot, the walls high enough , though in ruin, to provide decent enough cover from all sides except from above. Leaning back, it pulled the large rifle in its fully automatic beam rifle configuration and placed it in top of the shield, stabilizing the rifle.

"Here goes nothin'..." leveling the rifle at the skyscrapers in the distance, the barrels let out a loud hum as the fully-automatic beam machinegun burst to life.

While slower than what a fully-automatic beam machinegun typically was, the larger blasts had much more "Oomph" to them. Wasting no time and not taking accuracy into account, the machinegun began tearing into the skyline like a chainsaw, slowly working its way in an effort to collapse the buildings. Several dozen bullets seemed to scream across the skyline, causing smoke to rise and large chunks of debris to fall toward the ground. While it would give away his current position, he would not allow the sniper to take the high ground.

The silent calm was broken by the sudden sound of weapons fire coming from her left, followed by the tell-tale rumbling of dilapidated buildings being shot into, bits of rubble subsequently falling down several stories onto the streets below. In front of her she could see a smaller skyscraper a block or so down already toppling over, it's impact kicking up a large dust cloud which began slowly inching towards the parking lot, spreading outwards and through the other avenue's like an approaching fog of dust and particles. Fortunately, the skyscraper next to the parking lot itself was relatively sturdy, ruined as it was, and it seemed to fare better then it's smaller cousins as it's multitude of support infrastructure built within held. At best a few holes had been blown into it, revealing the innards of a once bustling office, now turned into molten slag by an overzealous stream of machine fire.

She turned it's head to regard the direction in which Mei-ling still heard the on-going stream of fire, bringing itself upright and to a stand. As the dust cloud finally invaded the innards of the parking lot, it enveloped the Sniper, it's visor's eye glowing menacingly, the faintest outline of it's shadow disappeared into the darkened lot. With all the destruction Andy had wrought upon the surrounding area, Mei-ling decided to take advantage of it. All of the buildings he had succeeded in toppling over had created a thick patch of grey and white, surrounding a ten block radius originating from the center of the city, slowly spreading outwards. Field of view and sensors would be affected to be sure, the dust and particles in the air acting as a form of lesser Minovsky Effect. Even the sun itself was denied as it's rays barely penetrated through, offering a fraction of the light it once gave.

Andy continued his brazen gunfire into the skyline, as large clouds of dust continued to spread throughout the city. By this point several buildings had large portions toppling to the ground, torn apart by rapid beam fire, making them useless as a sniper's nest. Others had completely collapsed under the pressure of gunfire. While one of the tallest buildings still stood despite such punishment, enough damage had been dealt to the infrastructure and walls to drastically destabilize the structure. Soon enough, Andy would make it fall and the GM Sniper (hopefully within) would fall along with it.

Removing the Beam Machinegun attachment from the rifle, Andy placed it on the rear hardpoint of the Daeg Hagal; the rifle's long barely then flipped upwards into position, the weapon reconfiguring itself into its Long Beam Rifle mode. Andy then picked up the unit's shield and reattached it to the left arm mount. A towering cloud of smoke lay before him now; one he was not going to enter into too carelessly, as snipers tend to take more advantage of it than he could. Instead, he had other plans for the smoke, which would hopefully reveal themselves in due time. Until then...

Beginning to move without engaging its hover mode, the Daeg Hagal walked rather than run as it began circling around the city. Soon enough, after moving a fair distance away the Daeg Hagal leveled its long beam rifle at the skyscraper that had been riddled with Beam Machinegun fire, but was still standing. While clouded in smoke, he could make out the general outline of the skyscraper's lower structure. The rifle gave off a soft hum as it charged, and within a few moments three high-output streams of energy shot off with far greater accuracy then the previous gunfire, aimed at the lower infrastructure of the building; the lower portion of the structure made more visible by the clearing or damaging of the buildings surrounding it.

The Daeg Hagal then initiated its hover mode to pick up its speed, giving off its distinctive hum as the thrust shot out from the Daeg Hagal's thrusters, assuming the GM Sniper would begin picking up on its trail. As it began to move faster in an attempt to circle around the city using the more clear city streets, he let out another three high-output rounds, separated by seconds, towards the structure again. More and more, smoke was clouding the battlefield.

Her opponent seemed very knowledgeable and extremely cautious, this Mei-ling was certain as she saw the skyscraper finally toppling over from the repeated volleys going into it's weakening superstructure. It buckled into itself before collapsing inwards and down, throwing up an impressive cloud of debris, the following shock wave of such a blast pushed the dust cloud out, clearing it some but not completely before settling back into a thick mist. He had eliminated any building of sufficient length, preventing her from using them. He had not rushed in, weapon at the ready, to hunt her down within the cloud itself. Instead, he was where she assumed someone as tactically sound as he was to be.

In the safe zone just outside the cloud of dust. She had seen something interesting, and so it was worth going out of her way to come out this far to wait and watch. His weapon was capable of being modified, the rapid fire capabilities of a beam machine gun which seemed very potent and must have been custom made. The accuracy and deadliness of a beam sniper. All of that with just a simple part being changed in and out. Mei-ling wanted to meet whomever was behind the creation of such a unique, original Gunpla. It was fascinating, to say the least. It could even hover and move at a faster pace then normal.

She would need to choose the right moment. For now the Sniper slid back into the shadows to begin formulating a plan to intercepting the Daeg Hal. A chance did come by the fact he'd passed her by whilst firing at the skyscraper, all of his attention on it though he neglected to watch his flanks. Though it did give Mei-ling a little giggle to see, she was glad she didn't fire upon him. He had shown her what capabilities his Gunpla had and for that she wouldn't take the fight out of him just yet.

She would play fairly with him.

She wasn't firing... she was more cautious than he had thought. As he did not want to get close, he was going to use the dust as a means of revealing her location; if she fired, the dust would've cleared as the bullet passed through, providing her location. Of course destroying the buildings and ruining the sniper spots was also part of the plan, but this was the primary reason. It would still work... but he'd now have to enter into the dust-filled ruins to find his target. It wasn't looking good.

The rifle swung into its beam pistol position; a configuration that would be better used in the closer quarters of an urban environment. While shorter in range, it could fire more rapidly and was fairly accurate within that short range, plus it could cover a wider area than his rifle could. As of now, the Beam Machinegun would be more powerful, but harder to maneuver with at closer ranges. Plus, he'd already changed the landscape of the field more than enough; if the GM Sniper's fighter had familiarized themselves with the area, the newly added debris and dust would alter the terrain more than enough to cut off previous escape paths or exit routes.

Keeping its shield up, the Daeg Hagal moved inwards into the city, backtracking a bit while keeping some buildings between him and the central area, kicking up the dust in the area he was passing through. His large sensor eye began to dim as he went through, the dust helping to partially obscure his presence.

Mei-ling had, on rare occasions, taken it upon herself to resort to a non-sniper fighting style against opponents who were particularly persistent. In Andy's case, his destruction soon proved to be a boon as she traveled throughout the city, noting the amount of debris that had built up from fallen buildings.

Five minutes.

Under normal circumstances she would have utilized them as mobile choke points, firing and luring targets in using herself as bait. Yet these circumstances were far from normal as Mei-ling, whom had gotten used to shooting down her hapless fellow competitors within the first few minutes, now had a genuine contender to deal with.

Three minutes.

The Sniper was blasting a small path through the dust as it's multitude of thrusters propelled it through the empty streets. It's visor, for once, was folded up; the rifle in it's hands now serving it's purpose as a semi-automatic battle rifle. She had memorized the streets when they were clean, perched upon the nest she had chosen when the match first started. Now they were filled with concrete slabs, some small, others large enough to seal off entire blocks. She was ready.

"One minute."

Andy continued his slow trek through the smoke, keeping his ears open to any sound out of the ordinary. Beyond the occasional sound of debris or rubble cascading down from the ruined skyscrapers, he could hear the faint, repetitive whishing sound of a thruster steadily getting louder. The Daeg Hagal turned its head left, then right and began picking up its pace, turning down one of the clearer city streets. There was some debris, but none too difficult for the Daeg Hagal to maneuver around.

As the sound got closer and closer the jets on the Daeg Hagal's feet and legs kicked into motion as it began to pick up its pace, rifle at the ready and the shield held up against the body. It was odd that the sniper was approaching, or at the very least sounded like it, but anything could happen at this point with the field in its current condition.

"Come on, come on, come on..." Andy was nervous, but his hands gripped the controls anxiously awaiting his first official tournament bout.

Mei-ling pulled back on the throttle as she neared a corner, raising the Sniper's rifle to prepare for an encounter in case she ran into her opponent. Which was very likely as by her estimates, he was already nearby and was most likely ready for her as well. The advantage and disadvantage of moving through low visibility was obvious, but she was having a good time and it was just about time as well. The minute was up.

The Sniper slid to a stop, making an audible screeching sound against the concrete floor as the weapon in it's hands raised to point down the left side portion of the street. For a few, tense, seconds she waited and listened. Turning the Sniper's head around to look down the other side of the street, she saw it. A vague, familiar shadow came barreling through the dust and for a split second Mei-ling could see the details of her opponent's Gunpla. Quickly turning the body of the Sniper around, she pointed the barrel of the rifle towards him and fired off a single shot towards it's general direction. Raising the throttle, she pushed the Sniper on past the lane before a proper counter-attack could be made.

... Hit and run. The Sniper disappeared as quick as it had appeared, taking a pot shot in the general direction of the Daeg Hagal as it sped past. As the Daeg Hagal tried to move in order to avoid, the quick shot bore its way through the area between its shoulder and head on the unit's upper left side; the resounding noise of the bullet passing by made Andy's ears ring as it reverberated through his control field. The bullet had torn through the left-side cabling, blowing it away; though thanks to Andy's attempted maneuver it avoided destroying the beam saber aligned with that side.

As the Sniper sped past Andy tried firing off a few shots at the target, but they would catch on one of the buildings blocking the view of the lane, never reaching their target. Pushing his control spheres forward the Daeg Hagal knelt down and with a giant leap activated its thrusters, kicking up a cloud of dust as it jumped into the air. Rather than chasing the Sniper down potentially clogged highways, which the Sniper looked to be prepared for, the Daeg Hagal went skyward and began tracing its trail through the dust cloud. After gaining enough altitude, the Daeg Hagal leveled its Beam Rifle (In beam pistol mode) in front of the moving dust cloud and fired off several shots in an attempt to hit or cut off the Sniper's path of movement.

Mei-ling had successfully caught up to and fired her first official shot of the match. Of course she didn't know if the shot itself did any damage but she wasn't expecting much since it was a quick fire and forget. What she didn't expect was the lack of any sort of pursuit, instead it appears he had stayed where he was, or so she thought as the first of four incoming beam projectiles impacted the area in front of her.

The young woman bravely barreled forward though, her intentions unchanged as the remaining three shots veered on by, with the last shot glancing off the Sniper's skirt armor as it passed by, searing a small piece off. In her path was a pile of rubble, sizeable enough for her to hide the Sniper behind as she contemplated what to do now.

This was certainly the longest match she'd ever had .. and it made her wonder if there was a time limit in place or not.

Andy was quick to bring the machinegun attachment forward, latching it into place on top of the beam pistol. Aiming into the area where the dust cloud had begun to settle, the Daeg Hagal pulled the trigger and unleashed a hailstorm of rapid fire down into the target area (We'll say ~16ish shots? I'll have to come up with a definitive shots-per-AP rating for beam machineguns later). The beams penetrated through the dust cloud as it would tear into debris, ground and whatever else was in the general vicinity of the attack; he couldn't let the Sniper pause to contemplate or get into a better position.

As Andy fired, the Daeg Hagal's leg thrusters kicked in and sent it off to the side as it drifted downward; allowing him to fire from another angle into the same spot (We'll say about another 16ish) as the Daeg Hagal descended onto another lane behind a ruined building; by that point the machinegun fire had ended, the building obscuring the Daeg Hagal from continuing its attack. The twin barrels were glowing red-hot, with steam rising off of the barrels from the extended period of fire. Now in cover, the Daeg Hagal disconnected the attachment and placed it back onto the back mount.

Mei-ling could hear the sound of explosions going off near her vicinity, a question began forming in her head but it was quickly answered by a bright flash that zipped by, chipping off a piece of the debris she had taken cover behind and embedded itself into the ground before her. The crater, fresh and still smoking from where the beam had hit it was quite large. From the angle of the shot though, she could assume he was rather high up, either on top of a building or he had a built-in flight system. Most likely it was that hovering function she had seen from before. It was capable of flight as well. This was proving to be rather troublesome. They were both playing a game of cat and mouse but Mei-ling knew what to do now. She waited for the remaining shots to end, which lasted all of about two seconds as several more shots arced overhead. She waited another second before pulling the Sniper out from behind cover.

Then she ignited it's thrusters and headed out for the city limits. She was finally going to leave the relative safety of the dust cloud and .. felt like doing something silly. It was also a very honorable thing, she thought, and also a very naive thing seeing as she didn't know if her opponent wouldn't take the chance to just shoot her.

It would be fun though.

Listening for the Sniper's movements, the Daeg Hagal remained still for only a moment before once again engaging its thrusters. Bending at the knees the Daeg Hagal leaped into the air, assisted by the leg and back thrusters. He could hear the Sniper getting farther from his location; it was trying to gain some distance...? Heading out of the city? Odd... The Beam Rifle slid back into its Long Rifle position as the Daeg Hagal slowly drifted back down to the ground slowly, assisted by its active thrusters. Contrary to Mei-ling's idea, the Daeg Hagal was not flight capable; it could jump damn good though, assisted by its thrusters.

Following the trail of dust and noting it getting thinner and thinner, the Daeg Hagal continued its descent through the city and occasional boost jump into the air as it trailed behind the Sniper, hopping from building to building as the height of the structures got smaller and smaller towards the city limit. Broadly circling around the Sniper as he followed, he made use of the Daeg Hagal's optical sensors to keep track of his target as at this point, it didn't really seem she was trying to hide or take cover. He held back from actually attempting to attack mainly due to the fact at this point she was clearly good at avoiding the attacks, and he'd simply be giving his position away. Which begged to question; what exactly was Mei-ling doing, trying to bring him out into the open like this?

The damage dealt to his Gunpla's frame was light... granted it also hit an easily damaged area that was more aesthetic fluff than anything else. But it managed to take out a good chunk, exposing the metal and plastic 1/144 RG inner frame beneath. The 90mm long rifle it carried could definitely do damage despite being a physical weapon. Fortunately the Daeg Hagal was still in nearly perfect working condition... but the same could be said for his target it seems, despite the rain of beam fire he had been laying down on her. As they approached the city limits, the Daeg Hagal stopped a block or two in from the edge and took cover behind a building, continuing to keep a visual on the Sniper.

Mei-ling stopped after the familiar concrete landscape turned into a less crowded, more open area dotted with the occasional house here and there. They were in ruins after all, so the fact that there was barren land just outside what used to be a bustling metropolis wasn't too hard of an idea to fathom as she turned around to face the city. There was no doubt in her mind that her opponent was curious and already had his eyes on her. The fact he hadn't fired at her yet spoke volumes of his character, or just of his own curiosity, as the Sniper made a gesture. Raising the rifle high above it's head, she pointed it barrel down and dug it into the sand. After this strange act came the answer to Andy's question, as he would undoubtedly see her pulling out one of the two beam sabers located inside the Sniper's backpack.

Holding it in one hand, she would cross it's arms and wait. A challenge had been sent out. Would her opponent accept ..? Or would he just throw fun out the window and take her down with one well-placed shot?

"... a challenge, eh?" Andy's heartstrings were being tugged at.

The chivalrous fighter within wanted to have just that kind of epic showdown with his opponent. Not only did it give the crowd a good show and get his adrenaline pumping, but it catered to his own tastes for epic combat, considerably so! Likewise, the little mischievousness in him just wanted to level his rifle right at the Sniper and make a killer potshot, as if mocking the fact he was sniping a sniper from afar; he was torn! "Ahhh! Fine! A duel it is!"

The Daeg Hagal walked back and forth as if lamenting, but he couldn't deny his inner showboat and close combat enthusiast. Bending at the knees the Daeg Hagal leaped from its current position as the boosters ignited, steadily descending from the air towards Mei-ling's location. Landing about fifty or so meters away from her position, the Daeg Hagal than slowly but surely walked forwards. The Machinegun attachment purged from its back hardpoint as it also dug his rifle into the ground. Shield on one arm, the Daeg Hagal reached over its shoulder for the beam saber.

Leaning into a combat position, shield facing forward, the Daeg Hagal's sword arm was held outward and down towards the ground at an angle as it crouched into a low-middle stance, legs bent as if ready to pounce forward at a moment's notice. The beam saber ignited, it's slightly longer blade apparent, as it waited for the Sniper to make its move.

Mei-ling waited, her entire body tense as she waited for a reply to her challenge, expecting a sudden bright lance of beam to come towards her at any moment as the seconds ticked by. Then he came, the Sniper catching it's shadow in the wake of his approach. She watched as he dropped down some distance in front of her, advanced and with a sigh of relief saw that he was relinquishing his own weapons, arming himself instead with a saber and shield. The young Chinese girl eyed his stance, noted the length of his beam saber, and with great joy finally realized he'd accepted her challenge!

Absolutely giddy, she ignited the beam saber held within the Sniper's hand and took a few steps towards him. Brandishing the ignited saber in front of her, she swung it off to the side and ignited her thrusters, charging towards him. With the distance between her and him closing rapidly, Mei-ling wanted to see how good he was and decided it was wise to initiate a simple contact charge. As it seemed the Sniper would raise the beam saber for an attack, it instead feinted and did a sort of pirouette only a Gunpla of high control could manage as it put one foot forward, crouched and aimed to ram it's shoulder and full weight against the shield.
