Hmph. So this is Tokyo? I have to say, I'm not impressed. It honesty wasn't a bad day. It was sunny, the scenery was nice, everything was fine. Reza just liked Osaka better than Tokyo. I mean, it was easy to explain. Reza had always been interested in Japan. From a young age he loved robots. Hell, one of his very first words being "obots" rather than mom or dad. Robots were what made him enter university with dreams of becoming an engineer... and the capitol of the world for robots was Japan... so... long story short it was always destiny that he'd wind up here... He just never figured it be so fast. He never accounted that he'd wind up in Osaka either. I mean who the hell planned to go to Kansai? No one. They went to Kanto and Tokyo. And yet here he was. HIs first tastes of Japan were Kansai and he had stuck strong too it. It was a shame people didn't think much of Kansai builders. Finally, Reza came against an open park bench and plotted himself down on it, placing his G-MUSE shopping bag down next to himself. It was filled with nothing but builder tools and spare pla sheets. He wasn't quite ready to buy a new unit yet. "Ahh. I miss Osaka ramen, why did I decide to come to this place." Edited by Reza, Mar 22 2015, 11:28 AM.

Seeing as it had been such a nice day Rex had decided to run out and get some supplies for his upcoming matches. It'd be a pain in the ass if he didn't have any spare parts when the Gouf Logi got damaged. He was also thinking about upgrades and reinforcements to make. His mind was just overtaken with gunpla today! But the city was really starting to get him. It was always full of people and kinda noisy. But he did hear there was a park not too far from G-Muse... maybe if he could just go lay in the grass a while he'd feel better. Yeah, no big deal. It was just, he still wasn't used to it that was all. Sure he was from one of the bigger cities in the US but he still had that nature connection. Even if a beach was full the roaring waves would drown out everything and he was starting to miss it. As Rex reached the park he took off his shoes to walk through the grass. There were people around but it wasn't such a problem as it was in the big shopping center. As he passed someone on a bench they spoke up, saying they missed Osaka ramen. Well, surely they were just talking aloud but... "It's because you have something you want to do here right? Maybe something you can't do back home?" Rex offered with a light grin. |

A few second passed from Reza's remarks as he sat there lazily upon the bench. Reza had only been mumbling to himself about ramen really, but the danger of mumbling aloud in public was that people would hear you, and they'd respond. What's this? The second he hard the beginnings of a voice, he thought for a moment someone was going to lecture him on why Yokohama ramen was superior. Of course, as the voice went on that wasn't the case. The voice clearly belonged to a teenage boy, and one with an accent not usual to this neck of the woods. Almost comically his eyes darted everywhere but directly in front of him where the boy actually was. Eventually, his eyes found his mark. He looked the boy up and down examining every aspect of his being. He was barefoot. Perhaps to enjoy the feeling of grass in his feet? We was decent sized, with a heavier build then most the feather weights of Japan, light complexion... and along with his clothes and his accent, clearly the same as Reza. An American. He also carried a bag from the shopping complex nearby. Specifically the gunpla shopping complex. In response to the boys question he nodded then crooked his finger at his own gunpla bag which was still rudely occupying space that could be a seat for another human being- like the one he was talking too. "That's correct. I was hoping Tokyo would somehow be able to inspire me, even if only an ounce. I guess that wasn't the case though but in the end I still got some parts and kits." Rex grinned as the other boy finally spotted him. He was kinda airheaded wasn't he? But wait was... was this guy checking him out? N-no way... but it did make the dark-haired boy a bit more self conscious. He shook his head and blinked when the other pointed to his own bag filled with Gunpla supplies. "Inspire you... for gunpla?" Rex's eyes lit up turning back to the slightly older boy. "Have you checked out the tournament yet? There's so many players from all over the place maybe you'll find some inspiration there?" He didn't want to brag making it as far as he had, so he'd just keep that much to himself. Although now that he was really seeing the guy in front him he realized that this boy was also American! But given his almost homesick tone about Osaka's Ramen he was here for a while. Well then again just because he looked American didn't mean he was... so Rex let his cautious nature keep hold and bit his tongue on that. "Oh! I'm sorry, Name's Rex nice to meet you!" He said grinning again. |

He paused looking up to the boy and let him continue. He talked about the tournament and inspiration and all that wonderful good stuff... which, truth be told, only justified a sigh from Reza. When he finished he took his turn to speak. "Reza Marat. Nice to meet you too." he tilted his head a little, his left eyebrow raising quizzically. "Inspiration, yes, that is what I said." Reza stated with a blunt tone. He'd likely come off as cold, which wasn't the case. Reza was just a poor communicator. As for the tournament... he cleared his throat. "I hoped to be in the tournament, yanno. Get some action. Unfortunately I missed my train and well... long story short I didn't make it to enter soon enough. So, I guess this is just a vacation for me?" he grinned, the first friendly sign of emotion in his face yet. "You in the tournament?" |

"Oh that's too bad. Well now you can get a one up on the competition for next year? Watching people's techniques and stuff?" Honestly that's something that Rex should have been doing, paying attention to the other battles going on this entire time. But no, he wanted to play games instead. It was probably going to kick his butt at some point. But in any case Reza didn't seem extra upset at missing the tournament since it was vacation! Rex nodded at this optimistic view. Besides, who wouldn't want to come around here just to hang out? It was super cool! "You in the tournament?" Rex laughed a bit, "Ah yeah I am. I'm not doing anything spectacular with it but my Gouf Logi is doing pretty well so far." The boy grinned, and rustled around in his bags pulling out a small case and pulling his Gouf out of it. "I got a couple extra weapons to equip but this is it! I fight kinda rough so I keep having to get replacement parts." He said holding the gunpla out towards Reza. He really had no qualms showing it off. He'd even let the boy mess with it if he wanted to, it's not like Reza had anything to gain if he screwed it up. Oh sure he could be lying about being in the tournament, but his name wasn't familiar, and Rex was probably going to mess the gunpla up in the next fight anyways so it just gave him more repair experience if anything happened today. |

Reza inspected the gunpla for a brief moment as the boy finished his response. "I'm not about that." Reza said sharply in response to the comment about getting a leg up on next year's competition. He continued on, "even if you don't consider the fact that people will be a lot different next year than they are now, it takes away the fun of gunpla to do the whole preparation thing." He blinked, his eyes narrowing to slits shortly after. He never got why people put so much effort into focusing on their opponents weakness when they could instead focus on their own. People were better off fixing themselves and being the best they could be instead of being better than their opponent's weakness. That wasn't his only rationale, though. Reza's lips curled slightly in preparation for his next line. "The spontaneity of gunpla battle... is truly interesting." "It's a decently built machine, for a Zeon suit." he said with a smirk. He didn't fancy Zeon much. Finishing his inspection, he reached into his bag and procured a case. He opened it to reveal his Jegan. "You showed me yours, I'll show you mine. It's nothing special, though." |

Rex grinned at Reza's pointed response saying he 'wasn't about' analyzing potential future opponents. "You're certainly not wrong. 'sides tactics don't always go according to plan." Although it was less that his tactics were ineffective and more that he would get so caught up in the battle that good strategies would fall by the wayside in favor of cool and reckless techniques. But that was just one of his... downfalls? Rex blinked and laughed brightly, "It is right?!" he beamed at the compliment, though backhanded it was. Once again Reza wasn't exactly wrong, but in this boy's humble opinion there was just too much going on with Gundams and other suits. Instead he took the easy way out just picking a thing he liked as a theme and sticking with it! He chuckled as he put the unit away. The boy's eyes lit up as Reza returned the favor letting him see the other's gunpla unit. It looked like a basic Jegan but... something felt off. It seemed lighter? Rex scanned it over before blinking, "Wait, did you..." he chuckled and handed it back, "That must be a lot of fun to pilot." He grinned. |

Reza nodded. Tactics that weren't made in the moment often fell through, and hell, it meant a lot of work for not all that much gain. Besides, like he said, part of the fun was the puzzle-like game that gunpla fighting presented. You had to calculate plans and move on the fly because it was so spontaneous. "I mean, it's not the best I've ever seen." Reza said with a slight glimmer in his eyes. If the boy was going to say It is, right? he'd playfully add some injury. Heh, and the boy liked his zeon suits. Gah. How could one love such an ugly thing. Chuckling himself now- apparently having warmed up more... Reza cleared his throat. "Removed all ranged weapons. Lightened the baby up. At heat weapon support. Light, fast, and along with it's ace in the hole, able to handle decently..." he paused. "I'm admittedly a shit pilot. Jegan's are famous for their usability. I intend to use my engineering skills in increasing this jegan to do some harm, while maintaining it's ability to be piloted well by me unlike those super fancy gundam." |
