"Hngh! What a great day it's been! Following a freakin' awesome.. ahem, fantastic display by our top sixteen components, eight have advanced!" Announcer-san stretched out her arms to the battlefields now in the arena; where there were eight there was now four, and each Battlefield had increased in size as they were pushed together. Each Battle Field now consisted of fourteen fields set together, creating a fairly large battlefield for the contestants. With the free space, some late-comers and scouts had begun filling in the spectator area, which had been expanded onto the ground floor. GUNPLA BATTLE COMBAT MODE, STARTUP. MODEL DAMAGE LEVEL, SET TO B. The systems began to hum to life as the Plavsky Particles started to build up, indicating it was time to begin. PLEASE, SET YOUR GP BASE. "And it's that time again! Everyone is now setting their GP Base! The fields are generating now... looks like we have a nice variety of fields today for everyone to tear each other apart! Wow, some of these are pretty! I want to battle in one..." BEGINNING PLAVSKY PARTICLE DISPERSAL... FIELD 11, CASTLE. PLEASE SET YOUR GUNPLA. "Oh man, look at all that detail! That castle is huge! Err, eh-hum...and with this, everyone has set their Gunpla... it's time to....!" with the audience cheering in the background, Announcer-san pointed her mic out towards the battle fields. BATTLE START. |

Out of all possible fields the one Misaki would fight in today this part of the tournament was a rather familiar castle from the Edo period surrounded by blossoming cherry trees. " ugh!" There was no way the colorless woodland camouflage she'd picked for her Gunpla would work on a place like this. The area she'd spawned was the main citadel right in front of the gigantic castle gate, this place oozed with traditional national themes. " A freaking Kimono would be better for moving unnoticed in a place like this." The Golden compass and wreath insignia of the German Democratic Republic armed forces was probably the featured that stood out the most emblazoned in the unit right shoulder. This wasn't the time to play hide and seek instead she would find the enemy and proceed to put it down with extreme prejudice. The enormous gate leading to the castle interior would be the first victim to the REGZ as it was kicked wide open. Before venturing inside she would bring the barrel of the rifle scanning every corner before taking steady steps forward into the courtyard as cherry leaves rained from the trees surrounding the fortress. Today opponent would be that same boy that interrupted the battle that re ignited her passion for Gunpla battle.Their Gunplas where close relatives and she was well aware of Jin Zeta's capabilities. |

Sadly, Jin's opponent of the previous match had been experiencing rather unexpected difficulties and thus Jin managed to win by default. And that left the blonde with mixed feelings. Yeah, he was happy that he got to move on, but defaulting somewhat defeated the purpose. It took away from the thrill of the fight that the young man had wanted to see so badly. However, he could also understand said situation, it was something completely unforeseen that was most likely unavoidable. So Jin just decided to accept it and move on. His next fight was against a familiar face. Misaki..something. The blonde could not remember her name, nor if she even had him a last name. Either way, he had missed out on truly fighting her beyond a grenade toss the time he had intruded upon the three-way fight that he had managed to make a four-way free for all. His fight during that match mainly consisted of going against Victory, and getting finished off by a sniper unit of sorts. It would be his first one on one against a somewhat familiar face in a rather long time. Honestly, Jin could not remember how well he usually fared in these sorts of situations. Sadly, he could not dwell on his past experiences for much longer as the field had already generated and the fight had started. "ZETA...LAUNCHING!" He cried enthusiastically, before soaring briefly into the skies with his Zeta Zaku. Strange, I did not expect to be fighting in a place like this, he thought, but this is also kinda cool. Old school Edo period based arena. It looks pretty to say the very least. T'is a shame that my opponent will probably be breaking it. He entered carefully, but no so carefully that moving a few meters took several hours. Jin was careful enough to where he could probably notice something coming his way. And then he broke through a large door, leading to the proper inside of the arena, full of all of the building and such. All was peaceful on the homefront. So far. |

Chances where that the Zeta Zaku respawned at the other side of the arena, if that was the case there would be plenty of places to look out for. The arena was much bigger than any other field so bumping into each other would take a while. There was always the possibility both of them would be moving in circles not being able to find each other due to the distances involved and constant movement. All in all this map in particular would be way better for large team battles as opposed to one on one duels. With the finite amount of ammunition at her disposal Misaki wasn't going to do any demolition, not to mention that would only help Jin in locating her elusive REGZ. " Hey! should we play hide and seek or do you want to meet up somewhere so we can start this fight?" Nothing in the rules stipulated they couldn't talk to each other and even if Jin tried to play dirty she didn't care at this point. The most suitable place for this ' duel' would be the top floor chamber where the Shogun ruled with an iron fist. |

At the offer to duel, Jin shrugged. Yeah, it would be kind of fun, but he didn't really know if Misaki was up to anything and it had them rather uneasy. It required a kind of foresight that the young blonde did not really have, sadly. "So, if we duel, not that I am really agreeing to it right now, where do you want to meet? The courtyard maybe," he asked Misaki. While he waited for a response, or maybe he had gotten one earlier and just did not notice, he took to roaming the Japanese Edo era castle that had been flooded with cherry blossoms. Figuring that he had already asked, Jin figured that he might as well accept, as it would be cheap if he knew the location and staged a surprise attack. (Apologies, phone post is short) |

" Top floor of the castle." Without waiting for Jin's answer Misaki engaged the backpack boosters steadily increasing the throttle allowing the nozzles to eventually build up enough energy to propel the REGZ frame upwards performing a rocket assisted jump all the way to the highest floor. With the kinetic energy behind it all she had to do was slam the wall with the frontal armor to tear a hole in the wall wide enough to accommodate her Gunpla. As expected it was a vast room modeled after the Shogun chamber with the large Tatami doors depicting a picturesque scene of eastern Dragons flying trough a vast mountain range. There was even Samurai armors on display at the sides holding Naginatas and other kinds of regimental weapons from the warring state periods. Being polite Misaki would wait for the Zeta Zaku to reveal itself. After all she wanted to put on a show for the spectators, Gunpla battle was after all a medium of entertainment for fighters and public alike. Of course Misaki choose this mention of engagement for the sole reason that the Camouflage pattern applied to her Gunpla would prove to be ineffective if she tried to sneak in unnoticed. Not to mention she wasnt in the mood to play 'chasie chasie catchy catchy kissy kissy' with Jin in such a large arena. by doing so both fighters would engage without worrying about the time limit. |

In her reply to his question, Misaki had seemed excited to Jin at least. Could someone really be this excited for a duel? Maybe the excitement is for exacting revenge on that party I had crashed back at G-Muse, the blonde thought curiously. Jin then proceeded to scaling the large castle that was roughly the center of the arena. Now, Jin had felt uneasy. It wasn't because of the sudden invitation to duel and duke it out, ruining the fun of a good old game like search and destroy, the duel actually would have made the fight easier: there would be no searching for the opponent, as it is simply a duel, something that was usually enjoyable when it came to one on one fights. No, he was nervous as Jin usually never had a winning streak this long, so the excitement and nervousness was getting to him. Essentially, Jin felt he would be too jumpy in this fight, would slip up, and lose. He hoped he was not the only person to really ever suffer from this, but it was not something he wanted other people to deal with. To put it simply, while this was not an incredibly high stress situation, Jin was far from being calm. This, he did in a similar manner as to that of his opponent, crashing through a wall after building up enough speed thanks to the various verniers and boosters located all over the Zeta's body. The hole that he made was of a decent size, with smoke settling thoughout the room from his crash. The room itself was beautiful, with paintings and older weapons lined up on racks. It was a shame that Misaki had decided to duel in such a beautiful place, however, hopefully it would also lead to a beautiful victory and a beautiful defeat. "So Misaki, what manner of duel would you like to carry out? Melee only, maybe a ranged duel, like old wild western cowboys, or something more akin to what we had going on in the forest, just in a more confined place?" He now asked curiously. Misaki said for them to duel, but she had never said what kind of duel, and that was rather important. |

It was only a matter of time until the enemy Zeta arrived tearing a hole trough the wall pretty much the same way she'd done. As expected they where face to face with each other at a range of less than 600 meters. The time to talk was over as evident on the way the REGZ adopted an offensive stance pointing the barrel of its rifle at Jin's Zeta. Despite this Misaki didnt fire just yet. instead her Gunpla head looked upwards firing its Vulcan guns at the ceiling raising a screen of falling debris and dust between the two sibling mobile suits thus signalling the start of the 'duel'. For good measure the REGZ moved several steps aside deploying one of its Dummy balloons forwards at the dead center of the chamber as the last piece of solid debris fell down on the floor. Thanks to the limited visual cover and the way the decoys resembled the REGZ Misaki hoped to make Jin nibble the not so obvious bait. ( fired Vulcans-1 AP deployed 1 decoy balloon-1 AP Moved sideways- 1 AP. |

The blonde was rather taken back. Misaki had asked him for the duel, only to ignore his question and lack of a proper beginning. It was not a duel, it was an ambush that Jin had willingly walked into. Last time I trust a girl who wants to meet me alone, he muttered. It was still up in the air if he was kidding with this or not. However, whatever Misaki had done, it gave Jin a good lesson for later, "DON'T TRUST MISAKI". He figured it would be a good message to live by. This mental thinking did not stop the fact that Misaki had started the fight 'unofficially' the moment he got into their designated ring, without a moments notice. Luckily, only smoke, dust and falling debris is all that seemed to come from the attack, but seeing as his opponent was someone who wasn't entirely keen on their word, the blonde could not be too careful. And through the dust and debris, Jin thought he had seen Misaki's suit and fired at it with his beam rifle three times for good measure. Now would be a good time to leave. While it did start to settle, there was still a lot of debris and dust in the air, and Misaki knew where he was, but not the other way around. Thus he jumped out of the hole he had made only moments prior, shooting two grenades back into shogun's room in an attempt to clear it out, either of Misaki, or the debris. It was not the best strategy, but for the time being, it seemed to be the most effective. After all, there were only two recently made holes in the walls. If any others were to be made, Jin would most likely hear it, seeing as crashing through walls is rather loud, or the fact that Jin could spot Misaki from a distance, as her camo did not fit the environment at all. And then, for good measure, and also the fact it might be a while before Misaki found him, Jin pulled out his Hyper Mega Launcher, prepping it for fire.

It was good to see that once more an opponent had been tricked into attacking a balloon decoy as it was thorn apart by the Zeta beam rifle blast.Misaki would have ordered her machine to launch a counter attack but by then the dust had settled seeing how Jin ran away from the chamber at the first sign of resistance. What exactly did he expect? Misaki had been kind enough to not shoot him on the spot or lay in ambush after issuing the duel invitation. Much to her surprise she saw two low velocity projectiles being fired inside the room. Quick to act the REGZ knelled while raising its shield to help cover the legs of the unit against the explosions. Without sustaining any crippling damage*except the one taken by the shields* the camouflaged Gunpla stood right back up a few seconds later to catch up with the elusive blonde pilot. This whole thing seemed fishy so instead of going trough the hole giving chase to the Zeta misaki opted for simply sticking the end of her beam rifle barrel outside of the large section of the wall Jin himself demolished while making its entrance. Much to her frustration she could see the Zeta whipping out its mega particle gun , aiming the cannon straight at them still on the top floor. Undaunted a very competitive Misaki managed to steady her shaky after taking a few deep breaths as the aiming reticule manually moved onto its target. The feet of the Gunpla firmly planted against the floor mat thus acquiring a much more acuratte offensive stance Since the HML was much larger than the Zeta itself the first two shots where aimed at destroying that overcompensating weapon system. ( blocked- 1 AP Beam rifle attack-2 AP.) |

Jin had been too busy focusing on the charging of his HML, and hoping the grenades would have held off Misaki a little longer. Sadly, that dream would never really come to fruition. The first shot missed by sheer luck, but the second ended this HML's life. Jin needed to learn how to read his opponents better, and use more grenades, a lot more grenades. He had a little bit of time before had exploded, but he still took some damage. Some debris lodged itself into the legs, catching one in the vernier, disabling that, but aside from that and some heat damage, the suit managed to keep on living. Jin knew what his next move would have been IF his HML had still been in one piece, but now, all he could think of was to continue on the offensive, or maybe set up a trap. Whatever Jin decided he would do, he began with two grenades aimed at the ReGZ, before hauling it to get some time to recover, and formulate a plan. I wonder how Misaki takes to bullet hell? Jin thought. ACTIONS Evade- 2 AP(Minus 1 AP next turn) Grenade Attack instance(2 Grenades) - 2 AP Movement - 1 AP |

The second grenade salvo fired at the REGZ from the low ground managed to hit the walls Misaki had been using as cover blowing them to pieces. While most of the blast had been mitigated by the wall the subsequent debris that was blown away slammed against the frontal hull causing a few dents all over its frontal armor. The fact she'd only managed to expose as little of her gunpla as possible paid major dividends, if she'd rushed in leaving the 'safety of cover chances where the damage done would have been way worse. With that section of the wall blown to hell the battered REGZ moved aside behind more cover , Misaki was not dumb enough to give chase thus abandoning the high ground advantage that now laid on their side. Thanks to Mei Ling marksman training she'd learned a few helpful tips to ensure higher accuracy at long ranges. The camouflaged Gunpla adopted a kneeling position holding its rifle with both hands while aiming the sights down at the moving Zeta Zaku. It might not have been a designated marksman weapon but the standard issued beam rifle she was packing could still deliver accurate fire at long to medium distances. Since the target was on the move she was moving the aiming reticle ahead of Jin's Gunpla effectively leading each shot fired. Twice she pulled the trigger noticing the lower amount of recoil each shot caused thanks to the more stable stance she'd adopted. ( moved behind cover-1 AP. beam rifle fired twice-2 AP.) |

Jin had been running away at a fairly decent speed, and had a fair distance between him and his aggressor. He thought he would have managed some breathing room, but Misaki's continued assault proved to be effective in preventing Jin to take proper time to think. He hadn't really thought to check behind him due to the exhilarating rush of the events that preluded this encounter, one shot came close to hitting the Zeta critically, as it took a little off of the right shoulder. The second shot seared through Zeta's shoulder, making the controls for over all arm movement less responsive. And then Jin began to take this all in. I'll be getting nowhere if I just stay on the defensive. If I plan on getting anywhere, I gotta go on the offensive. I can't let her escape. And with this, Jin fell to the depths of activating what he feared would be his crutch, the Biosensor. With this, a light pink aura began to permeate and waft off of the Zeta Zaku, making the Zaku head seem a little more grimacing with the new colors and shadows over it. In the over all points of the strategies that made up his current situation, Jin knew he was lacking the massive firepower that would have ended this fight if he had begun charging up prior, and his left arm had some overall response issues but he had speed, and from what Jin could assume, the biosensor was something else that gave him an advantage initially. And thus, Jin began to advance towards the other Zeta Prototype, somewhat slowly, so he could get a good series of shots in. Again, as per his usual explosion happy self did, he launched two more grenades towards where he thought Misaki was, making another hole into the Shogun's estate, before firing two volleys of beam rifle shots into the hole he had made. Unlike the last time Misaki was fully prepared to move to a different location after making sure those two shots she fired previously hadn't missed their mark. The REGZ stood up from its kneeling stance and began walking backwards when she saw the glowing Zeta Zaku make a turn. By the time that part of the wall was blown to bits from the grenades the ensuing explosion only managed to annoy Misaki's sensitive ears. The REGZ shield was raised as always covering the torso. One of the shots was succesfully blocked, the anti beam coating began wearing off while the second one got lucky tearing a hole in Misaki's gunpla left 'cheek'. Whle it didn't look like a lot of damage the main monitor capabilities where severely reduced as evident on the fuzzy image display on the virtual cockpit. Switching to the secondary monitor was necessary which only improved the image slightly. Now that she had retreated back into the main chamber it was no longer possible to get a visual on the enemy approaching from the outside but the same could be said about Jin who would have to jump all the way up there. He was recklessly charging in relying completely on the bio sensor additional capabilities so quickly into the battle. The moment the Zeta Zaku poked its ugly glowing head trough the ruined wall section she was ready to receive it with a well placed beam rifle shot. For good measure a Dummy ballon was launched right in front of the REGZ to act as a temporary distraction, surely the blonde would attack the first thing he'd seen resembling Misaki's gunpla. ( Moved five several backwards into the chamber-1 Ap blocked-2 Ap deployed a single ballon-1 AP) |
