"Hngh! What a great day it's been! Following a freakin' awesome.. ahem, fantastic display by our top sixteen components, eight have advanced!" Announcer-san stretched out her arms to the battlefields now in the arena; where there were eight there was now four, and each Battlefield had increased in size as they were pushed together. Each Battle Field now consisted of fourteen fields set together, creating a fairly large battlefield for the contestants. With the free space, some late-comers and scouts had begun filling in the spectator area, which had been expanded onto the ground floor. GUNPLA BATTLE COMBAT MODE, STARTUP. MODEL DAMAGE LEVEL, SET TO B. The systems began to hum to life as the Plavsky Particles started to build up, indicating it was time to begin. PLEASE, SET YOUR GP BASE. "And it's that time again! Everyone is now setting their GP Base! The fields are generating now... looks like we have a nice variety of fields today for everyone to tear each other apart! Wow, some of these are pretty! I want to battle in one..." BEGINNING PLAVSKY PARTICLE DISPERSAL... FIELD 04, MOUNTAINS. PLEASE SET YOUR GUNPLA. "... Looks like that one over there is that new mountain valley field that came out recently... so coo--err, um... and with this, everyone has set their Gunpla... it's time to....!" with the audience cheering in the background, Announcer-san pointed her mic out towards the battle fields. BATTLE START. Edited by Announcer-san, Mar 24 2015, 07:05 PM.

Rena, despite her first opponent not showing up for their match, was surprisingly determined to keep going on the matter. Rena was sure the other person had their reasons for backing out of the tournament, but that did not mean Rena had to either. Entering the arena once again, she found her way to her next stage and almost immediately took to action as the system came to life and she was engulfed in the blue cockpit generated by the Plavsky Particles. Placing her GP base on the Console, Rena watched as it showed her name on the fighter/builder slots and then the name of her Genoace G Custom above that. As the system AI asked her to place her Gunpla on the system, she stood the Gunpla in front of her with its Hyper Bazooka mounted as per her usual and gripped her controls. "I made it to the second round but that doesn't mean I'm going to win this. However. I wont give in!", she said in a dramatic monologue. As the system scanned the Gunpla, she confirmed it was online by the flash of the eyes and the bobble of its head. On the projected screen, she saw the catapult deck simulated by the system and watched as the markers went from red to yellow and then finally to green. "Rena Kazuto, Genoace G Custom, lets take the stage!", she said. As the Genoace G Custom was catapulted out of the generated corridor, her system adjusted quickly to the bright settings of the Mountainous region she and her opponent were to fight in. Not knowing much about the other fighter, Rena sat the Genoace on the ground and begun moving into the area's deep canyons to avoid being spotted so soon. Firing up her thrusters would cause unnecessary noise and thermal signatures, that was not what she wanted. All she could do now was wait and see what she was up against. |

Despite being a great battle the fight against Vince left a bad taste in his mouth. Vince's gunpla was so clearly outmatched by the Yojimbo that their fight was more a slaughter than a real fight. Aida was hungry for a real opponent. Someone to test his mettle against. Generally he gave off the air of someone utterly emotionless and stoic but once the battle began he became a completely different person. He was like a wolf who had been denied a meal. He was starving for a full course. Once more he took to the stage after making minor repairs on the Yojimbo. He had loaded up a new shield similar in design to the one that was lost in the battle. There were minor aesthetic differences but it was more or less the same. He also reloaded the DODS rifle after discarding it during the fight. He was ready to go. When the machine called for him to set his GP base and gunpla he did. Once more, with passion, he launched the suit. "It's time to begin! Tsukuro Aida, G-Exia Yo!Jim!Bo!, let's hunt!" The glow of the catapult gave way to the serene vista of the mountain. It was honestly breathtaking. Aida had to pause for a moment to just take it all in. This was a new field he hadn't fought on before. Not that the island wasn't the same but this one was more visually pleasing. He was quick to break the revelry however. He could see his opponent trying to dive into the canyon to avoid detection. Aida was as keen as a wolf though. Such a trick wouldn't work on him. Aida threw the thrusters into high gear and raced to intercept her. He had already heard about how her first match went so he couldn't resist bringing it up. His coms cracked to life on all channels, "Hey Hey, I heard you were denied a real fight earlier. My fight was boring and lackluster. Let's see if we can turn our shit days around now eh?" Aida's machine was fast. Only a twinkle of blue warned Rena of its approach. By the time his message finished he was already crashing down into the river valley. The sheer speed and heat from his thrusters caused steam to be kicked up and spread from the impact. From deep in the steam his machine's eyes glowed a menacing green before two thermal signatures errupted. Shots from the DODS lanced towards the Genoace custom and dispelled the smoke revealing to Rena what Aida's suit was. The custom G-Bouncer known as the G-Exia "Yojimbo". The brilliant blue fanged mobile suit that belonged to one of the Twin Fangs, Aida the Black Dog. How fitting that he piloted a suit that belonged to Woolf Enacle, the so called "White Wolf"? |

There was something quite serene about the mountain field as the sunlight affect between the afternoon and the evening gave the mountain walls a beautiful glow to them. As the Geonace G Custom continued on its way, Rena's enhanced sensors alerted her to the approaching opponent, but it seemed she was a bit slow on the draw when he landed in the water. As the opponent approached he made contact, Rena wasn't expecting him to chat it up just now, though he seemed to be pouting to her about having a horrible match in the first preliminaries. Well, not everyone could have a good time with any fight she guessed. "A big talker huh? Well that' not unexpected.", she mumbled to herself. "Well I fight to meet another person's expectations, but whatever.", as she replied to hi, the Gunpla made a landing in the water ahead of the Geonace with a splash. From the looks of it, steam had kicked up for some reason though it was probably not a big deal of a reason. With no time to really survey the enemy's Gunpla, Rena was suddenly fired on from behind the steam. In a quick split second decision, she kicked up the Geonace G Customs thrusters making Left Shunting boost upward slightly which helped her avoid the DODs rifle's spinning beams. From the suits appearance it was definitely a unit that resembled the at least the G-Bouncer from Gundam AGE. Though it was tuned fairly well and had great speed from what Rena witnessed just now, speed wasn't going to win this guy the battle alone. Aiming the Hyper Bazooka, Rena fired two rockets while still in mid air, both round focused directly on the G-Exia's torso area. "You won't defeat me with speed alone.", she said. Using her still in-mid-air position, Rena boosted once more as she ended up on the opposite shore from where she was.

It was almost a shame. This calm and serene mountain valley was being disturbed by what was certain to be an intense match. Aida was always a fan of the water so having a watery arena for him to fight in put him in a strange sense of ease. He couldn't let that peace and tranquility addle his senses though. As he suspected his opponent dodged his testing shots. If she hadn't she wouldn't be much of a challenge. Her unit was a customized Genoace. She was a fan of AGE too huh? It looked to be, more specifically, Obright's Genoace. The fact both of them had extensive knowledge of their unit's parent series meant it'd be much harder to rely on their unit's natural abilities. Fortunately the G-Exia was more than just a G-Bouncer as the "exia" in its name alluded to. Aida let off a soft chuckle, "Well I hope I can meet your's. Its not every day I get to go head to head with a cute girl who can keep up with me. Good luck~" with that semi-flirtatious comment hanging on the air Aida devoted his full attention to responding to Rena's counter attack. She fired two rockets at the Yojimbo aiming to blast apart it's torso clean. It was a good plan but there was an inherent problem with using ballistic and explosive weapons in an area so full of water. Aida fired up his thrusters to max speed and dodged backwards. The strength of his thrust kicking up a wall of water as he moved. Aida turned just slightly allowing the wall of water to impede the rocket's movement. He then used his shield to slam the side of the rockets sending them off course and into the water where they detonated. The explosion of water provided cover for Aida to once more use his impressive speed to his advantage. The Yojimbo moved under the cover of the waterwall to Rena's and the Genoace's flank before emerging once more beam saber drawn in its off hand. Aida aimed a strike right at the unit's head sensors. |

Was there any merit to trying to beat speed with speed? There probably was, but the problem with Rena's attempt to throw the G-Exia off it's guard ended in failure. It wasn't for nothing though, because as she watched him deflect the missiles, she took a defensive stance. The G-Exia's charge up from behind the swells of water was answered with Rena quickly using the shield to counter the sudden attack with a beam saber by batting it away. At this distance, Rena thought of something that probably even her opponent didn't even think about. The enemy Gunpla was at a very dangerous distance from her Genoace so she lowered the Hyper Bazooka into the G-Exia's side which was now at point blank range. "How's this for an expectation?", She taunted. Rena fired twice with the Bazooka, that would damage the barrel, but it was worth the attempt now that they were both now in a dead lock.

"Heh crazy girl" Aida's response was a swift one. It had to be or else they both would have been blown up at this range. There was enough in the tank to allow for a quick 25% burst. That was all he needed. Just enough to accelerate fast enough to raise his gundam's knee high enough to knock the bazooka up causing the missiles to fire harmlessly into the sky. The blue sheen of the Yojimbo intensified as the stored plavisky particles were released. At 25% none of the RG frame needed to be exposed so the Yojimbo's accelerated motion was a lot less visceral than it had been against the Campion. This was a speed closer to what the Trans-AM Burst allowed. The movement was swift. The very instant his saber bounced harmlessly off her shield and she put the bazooka to his gunpla's torso he accelerated and used the speedy knee strike to knock the bazooka off course. With the speed and force of the strike it was liable to knock the bazooka clean off the gunpla itself but that wasn't the aim of the attack. Being close was going to be a dangerous preposition unless he took out those long range weapons. His next course of action was slicing that DODs rifle in half. After deflecting the bazooka his machine lowed its leg and spun. The range of motion the Yojimbo was capable showed how well made its internal skeleton was. It was clearly an RG unit designed for a martial artist. That alone spoke volumes about Aida and told Rena she was facing off against a close ranged specialist. Further attempts at close range chicanery on her part were just as liable to fail without setup. The Yojimbo twisted and brought its searing green GN saber down on the DODs rifle with accelerated speed. "You're feisty! I like it!" AP

(OOC: the DODs rifle is docked on the right hip, its not in the Genoace's hand, assuming you haven't read the G Customs profile.) It was an intense fight, Rena had no time to think which as what she sought for a while. Her bazooka was deflected by a kick, which was a gutsy move because that only fired up Rena's determination even more. Watching the G-Exia lower itself after the kick, she didn't know what his intended point of attack was but the beam saber was still lit in the G-Exia's hand. Not anting to find out, the Genoace fired up its thrusters in a quick boost as it leapt up and back to avoid the slash going for what she believed was the DOD's Rifle. It was close call, but she narrowly avoided the strike and landed a bit away from him. "Is he trying to disarm me? That's quite the underestimation.", she thought. She didn't want to disappoint, but going for just her weapons was quite the understatement and she was going to show it to him. Dropping the Bazooka, she drew both the DODs rifle in the right hand and the beam saber in the left. "Sorry, but trying to disarm me is a bit of an insult if you know what I mean.", she said. There was a chance she could get him into a tighter area of the field so she decided to do just that. As if inviting him to try and do something, Rena fired the DOD's Rifle twice before turning around and boost towards a narrow path in the mountain. If speed was one of the G-Exia's strong points, then a small corridor like path would be his possible weakness. There was a fifty-fifty chance this would work, so she had to bet it all on these next few moves. If the off chance he did somehow keep up his speed in these area's, then she could still use the area to her advantage.

Missed by mere millimeters. Oh well. If he had been in a higher state of full burst the attack would have been far too fast to dodge. As it stood though he only had about a minute left of fullburst before his weapon systems would shut down and power would be diverted from them to rebooting the suit. That was the price he had to pay for activating the burst. With that in mind like hell was he going to follow Rena. He wasn't dumb enough to fall for such a clear ploy. Instead he used the unit's last remaining dregs of speed to avoid the dods rifle shots and return fire in kind. He wasn't really aiming at the Genoace G but if he hit it cool. Instead he was shooting the mountain pass where she was heading in an attempt to cut off her own avenue of escape. Before his unit temporarily shut down to reboot Aida jetted away into one of the many caves to wait out the reboot sequence on the Yojimbo. |

So her opponent decided not to follow her into the narrow passages, that was a bold move indeed. Rena figured her Opponent wasn't dumb enough to follow so that brought a bit of relief to her. The return fire of the G-Exia struck the opening of the pass above where she was headed, but luckily for Rena, the Genoace G Custom was quick enough for any falling debris to miss her completely. With the rocks now blocking her return path Rena decided it was for the best as she couldn't deal with that guy in an open region like that. Following the mountain path, she came to a series of caves that seemed to be quite shallow (Not your caves), there was no point in hiding in any of them, but they would come in handy for a future maneuvers. "He'll be coming back soon. I'll need to deal with him here.", she mumbled. Using her thrusters to jump up, the Genoace came to a flat top plateau where she could let him see her, then attempt to draw the guy into the cave sets back down below. This was going to be a very decisive strategy to use, so Rena would have to be quick. |

"System Reset Engage. Diverting Weapon power to backup systems." The robotic voice echoed over Aida's GP base as the blue shine from the Yojimbo dissipated. That was the price of using the full burst. The suits weapon systems were now totally offline. The plavisky particle flow was now being diverted to simply keeping the suit running while the internal core of the suit stabilized. He had only seen the magnificent blue spheroid crystal once before he put the armor over the frame but he knew that it was highly conductive and that it lost its shape temporarily during the burst. An internal rush of plavisky particles mixed with those taken in by the machine passively during the match mixed within the integrated GN drive and caused a hyper accelerated state. That was the Hyper Accelerated Plavisky Particle Full Burst. The machine took a full eight minutes to fully charge at which point it became nigh unstoppable. However the burst put so much strain on the machine that unleashing a second burst after a 100% burst would destroy it utterly. Every burst, in fact, put pressure on the machine's internal frame and threatened to cause catastrophic failure when he exceeded beyond the safe zone of 25%. Aida took in a few deep breaths. His opponent now had time to set a trap for him. He wasn't taking this as seriously as he should. His earlier maneuver showed that. Instead of going for the killing blow right away he aimed to force the fight into close range by disabling the G Custom's ranged weaponry. He should have used the accelerated state to strike a decisive blow. If he wanted to keep his promise to face Matt in the finals then he had to get serious. No more playing around. It was time to use it. With the recharge nearly complete it was time to come out of hiding. Aida rocked the thrusters and the Yojimbo sped out of its hiding spot. Rena had made herself easy enough to find so he suspect she had a plan. He landed on the precipice anyway fully knowing he was essentially walking into the lions den. "You're pretty good. I'm sorry for dishonoring you by not taking this fight seriously. That's not going to happen anymore." The Yojimbo pointed its DODs rifle at the Genoace but, strangely, Aida tossed it aside without firing. Its GN sabers popped up and ignited but the Yojimbo threw them into the ground at its feet. "I'm going to come at you with my full strength now Rena I hope your ready for it! RIPPLE AND IGNITE MY BURNING BLUE FANG!" There was a glint from behind the Yojimbo's shield and the whir of a device activating. A katana like beam saber handle rotated downward from behind the shield. Aida drew it slowly and as he did the plavisky particle flow around the Yojimbo accelerated much more rapidly than even during the full burst. It was is if the very air around it was congregating and forming into its weapon. The slow draw of the blade caused plavisky particles to cascade off the shield. Slowly the blade formed. It started out looking like rippling water, clean and blue, before it solidified into a stable state. It was a pure blue katana blade. The Shigure Blade was a weapon of peerless quality and Aida's pride and joy. The real battle began now as Aida cast aside the Yojimbo's shield leaving it with only the radiant blue blade he now wielded in both hands. The Yojimbo assumed a fighting stance and the very ground began to shake and tremble. This sword contained enough concentrated power apparently that it had a visible effect on the plavisky flow even now in its stable state. "Give me everything you've got Rena! I'll take it and thensome with this Shigure Blade!!" |

((Finishing since Stargazer dropped and Tur wants me to)) Rena had a plan but whatever it was Aida would never know. She tried to move her gunpla into a new position but Aida was fast. The instant his systems came back online the true might of the shigure blade was revealed. The shaking plavisky particles were just the precusor to the storm of energy that flowed freely around his gunpla. It was like the waves of an ocean rolling off it all from the blade in it's hand. The output was lower than the burst but the sheer density gave the illusion of a heightened state. Before Rena could get off a single attack it was over in a flash. "Hanakenryu ~ Hyakkuyoreki no Mai*!" Aida unleashed a blistering set of slashes, each casting cascades of blue raindrop like plavisky emissions. The drops became tiny blades and slashed at the G custom shredding it utterly. The entire front of the suit was blown open revealing its skeleton before Aida thrust the shigure blade into its core. "ITS OVER!!" The wave of particles crashed down over both unit before receding. In the ocean like fallout of particles, somehow, someway, Rena managed to fire off one shot. That shot blew open part of the Yojimbo's facemask exposing the skeletal like frame underneath. A worthy battlescar that Aide wouldn't be repairing as a memento of the battle. The Yojimbo tossed the shigure blade skyward allowing it to catch the falling G Custom and lay it safely on the ground before catching the shigure blade and resheathing it. The particle anomaly subsided and the battle concluded. BATTLE ENDED ((*TL: Blooming Blade Style ~ Dance of a Hundred Lingering Raindrops)) Edited by Seraph, Apr 9 2015, 10:41 PM.
