Michael Grimme walked through G-Muse wearing his normal get up and had come here deciding it would obviously be the best place to search for Gunpla. Outside he had stared at the large Gundam statue being truly impressed by it and wished he could have a life sized Gundam. Then again how would he even fit something like that in his room? Pieces? No, even the pieces would be to big in his room! One of these days he would figure soothing out. Anyways what had prompted this trip was no doubt his recent sneaky joining of the Condor Legion. On that day he had worked on his MS-06FZ Zaku II Kai a little bit more and got to know the team a little. Things where looking up even if they were risky, but risky tends to have high reward. Though there might not be any rewards actually, but who wants to think about something as down in the dumps as that? Not Michael! Thats for sure! Anyways as he went through he picked a store at random even doing a little Eeny, meeny, miny, moe in his head to figure it out. Walking up to said store he glanced in before entering unaware of the fact that two of the Condor Legion where inside. Now this is surely bad news! Right? Yeah probably is. But Michael has a plan for everything, and when he doesn't he can make it up on the spot. THough it helped that he looked a bit different then when he was all dressed up due to a lack of preparations. Going into one of the aisles he began to look over the boxes trying to figure out what might go with what and what might be useful to his project. |

If this place was supposed to the Holy Land of Gunpla, it certainly was well hidden! Look for the giant Gundam, they had said. Can't miss it, they'd said! Lots of signs, they had said. That was all well and good for the man or woman who could read Japanese. For a tall, blonde haired gaijin, however, it might as well have been the same as asking him to walk to the moon! There had been many signs in Japanese but all too few in English! Even worse, few Japanese seemed to understand his English. German was the man's native language. Learning English had been a necessity. Hadrian Kurtz thought his English was good. None of the tourists at the Panzer Museum had ever complained. But Kurtz found that, on average, he had to repeat himself two or three times to be understood by these diminutive Japanese. Perhaps this Japanese vacation had not been such a good idea, after all. Finding the giant Gundam statue was easier said than done. Great office towers and endless apartment blocks limited Kurtz's view in all directions. Madness! Although, Kurtz wondered, someone had pointed him in the direction of a train station and babbled away in Japanese. Nonetheless, it was a challenge and one in which there was plenty of time to complete. In the meantime, as he wandered around trying to find this shopping center, Kurtz admired the everyday comings and goings of the residents in the area. Lunch might be a good idea too. An hour later, Kurtz walked into the shopping center which he had been hunting for. The life sized Gundam out front had been impressive in a way. If he had been more facetious, he might have called it ostentatious. Compared to the practical workmanship of the StuG III which Kurtz had helped restore, however, a giant robot statue wasn't going to sway him. Yes, he liked Gundam kits and some of the anime series were quite entertaining. But Kurtz would never have described himself as a fanatic of the Gundam franchise. Having served in the Panzergrenadiers, Kurtz knew the potential of modern tanks and AFVs. German engineering was the finest, in his opinion. The Japanese may have made the whole thing look good but only a German engineer could make these walking robots of war a reality. And somehow, he didn't see the Bundeswehr jumping behind that idea any time soon. What really held Kurtz's attention, however, was this Gunpla battle he had heard so much of. He'd seen it in Germany, heard about it from JGSDF personnel on training ops, but there'd been very little exposure for him. None of the men in his platoon knew much about this Gunpla battle. He and they were all more interested in following the Bundeslige. He and part of the platoon were FC Bayern Munich supports while the rest of the poor, deluded fellows were Borussia Dortmund fans. With such intense football rivalries within the platoon, none of them had paid much attention to the new sport of Gunpla battle. Plus, professional soldiers spent much of their lives training for war or fighting in it. Why should their free time be spent in mock battles that failed to simulate real battle conditions? Kurtz ambled into a random store, failing to take note of its name despite the brightly colored, extravagant Japanese characters. He had no intention to buy anything specific. Just to look around and see what were the kits they had in stock. If anything reminded him of the beloved Panzers in the museum. Zeon, if he recalled correctly, had been modeled in some ways after Nazi Germany. As much as Kurtz despised the politics of the era, he could not deny that he was always drawn to the allure of his country's past military equipment. Hence why he worked part time in the Panzer Museum. Edited by Sigma, Apr 21 2015, 10:06 PM.

It felt awkward for Hideo to take public transport here, but he kept his discomfort hidden. His car was due back from the shop today, but now was not yet time to pick it up. Never one to miss a chance to get things done, he decided to pick up a display-action stand for his Gunpla, which was almost finished. He felt excitement in his chest at the thought of how it would look. Even more exciting was the prospect of how it would perform in battle. Though it wasn't his first time using Gunpla in battle, it was his first build. He believed in his own work and customization if he was to use it for tournaments especially. Having done many deliveries here, he knew his way around. He typically frequented the stores, comparing prices to fit his needs. He spotted the store that the other two guys walked in (Grimme, Kurtz). "There's the ticket" he said to himself as he walked over. While Hideo was about average height for a person internationally, he was a bit tall for a Japanese boy his age. Not quite lanky, but very thin of build as well. He didn't mind, thinking that it saved weight for when he raced. Black slacks and a crisp button-up with simple black canvas shoes was the dress for today, and he loved the way the air felt here. Most folks from Osaka like him took pride in their native city, and he did too. But Tokyo would forever hold a special appeal to him. He entered the store with a smile, giving a very light bow to whomever was at the counter as he looked around. Edited by November, Apr 21 2015, 07:45 PM.

"Yes! The Serafino is my Gunpla! Here I'll Show yo-" His thoughts were interrupted by the catastrophe infront and to the side of them. Two women had impacted and much like he had earlier, dropped model kits all over the floor. Instinct kicking in, the Italian dandy moved over and began picking up model kits to hand back to the woman whom had dropped them. "Here you go Ma'am..." He looked at the two women and instantly recognized both - though one took more thought then the other. The first was a competitor in the tournament, Mi-Something...He remembered her because after his match with the Dai it was apparent he'd be facing off against the young lady from the prestigious all girl academy! The other woman, a familiar face from a night on the town...He'd been facing off against local bullies and she'd seemed to of been engrossed in his battle. He only remembered her face but not her name. "Ah! A pleasure to meet you again Miss." He smiled at Mei Ling and offered a helping hand to both ladies. In the commotion he'd forgotten of Alex's remaining questions as well as his model to show off. Still, it was better to help in this country than be rude and not pay any mind. ooc: Just for reference folks whom are using Gigun-Z as a Store in this thread...Gigun-Z is located in the West Tokyo Residential Area on the site, not G-Muse. Sorry for the confusion! Edited by Black Cross, Apr 21 2015, 02:04 PM.

Alex would look over, but then get sidetracked as the store became quick a ruckus with people. "Oh boy, I'm having dejavu now.." he chuckled at the Gunpla mess. Alex would walk over to help Matteo. "Look at you, knight to the rescue." he patted the man on the back. "Friends of yours?" he asked him. Looking over the two ladies and giving a wave. "Nice to meet you. Got quite a collection there, you building an army?" he said with a smile. "Name is Alex Knight by the way.." he chimed in with a grin.

And just like that Misaki successful cover recon ended in an spectacular failure as that Matteo kid and his buddy took notice of both of them. With a scoff she dismissed the two boys clearly scowling at the Italian boy as he offered help a little too late since she'd already managed to pick up the mess of boxes laying in the floor. " We can clean our own mess, thank you very much." There was no point in blaming her senior clumsiness, it was an streak of bad luck after all. Regardless it didnt made this any less embarrassing. Right now she was the only member of their Condor Legion club still taking part in the tournament and now she was face to face with her next opponent. The guy that defeated Sia in battle, for that she would have their revenge. Since Mei Ling had been the one carrying that stack of boxes Misaki didnt answer the question Alex asked. " These are just spares." The two REGZ boxes she'd been carrying where in a nearby shelve inside a bag with a ticket meaning they'd already been paid for. |

Mei-ling rubbed her head, sighing softly as she heard a familiar voice cry out. Standing up with the un-dropped box in hand, the clueless girl looked around and was genuinely surprised to see that it was Misaki she had bumped into. She wasn't aware of any plans involving the club president actually going out instead of staying plugged into the club room's activities twenty-four seven. Before she could say hello or even go about picking up the dropped items, a .. strangely familiar face and voice chimed in, alerting her to the held out items. With an 'ah' and a smile, she put down the box in her hand and relinquished them from the Italian, pulling boxes upright to place them back into their rightful places. Having stacked the boxes neatly on top of each other, she left them where they were and reached out to grasp and shake the shopkeeper's hand, having finally remembered him from an event that took place a month ago. The world is truly small for them to meet again in a place such as this. The other one on the other hand was unfamiliar to her, though she offered him a smile either way. "We could, though," Mei-ling would add in for Misaki's reply, keeping the atmosphere nice and happy. "And it's nice to meet you too, heroic shopkeeper. It is good to see you again. Did you manage to fix up your Gunpla? The .. Serafino, yes?" She would continue, remembering the fight as if it had taken place yesterday. It was an impressive little creation, despite the fact it looked very bulky and flimsy at the same time. "Oh, Misaki, I believe we have a few applications that require your attention. Would you like to see them?" |

Michael Grimme had spotted something he considered interesting, that being a MS-05L Zaku I Sniper Type. He stared at the box for a moment before deciding that yes, it might be useful to his project. If not he could build one straight up and put it on his desk or something. Grabbing it he continued down the aisle looking for more stuff he could use. He had big plans for his gunpla, and big plans meant lots of parts or something right? He nodded at the thought as he came to the end of the aisle. He came to a sudden stop however upon seeing both Mei-ling and Misaki and froze for a brief moment. Though quickly he thought fast and acted casual as began to look at the stuff at the end of the aisle acting as if he had spotted something. Michael then went to the next aisle over and continued looking over the various kits. He had to think of an excuse fast and knew it might be a good idea to get out of here. |

"Was war das?" Kurtz blurted aloud when he heard the crash of cardboard and plastic followed by the exclamation of several voices. He spoke in German from the shock, momentarily forgetting he was forgetting that not a soul spoke the language. He had been examining something called a Kämpfer and a Gelgoog Jäger. Neither model had seemed to fit the name. Surely a Kämpfer was like a fist fighter? He didn't know how shotguns, bazookas, and panzer fausts combined to make a gunpla a fighter. And a Jäger was an enlisted man from a light infantry unit. Why would that man be expected to be a sniper? Or was it some strange twist of being a sharpshooting hunter? If so, then the fool shouldn't be dressed in bright red. The pilot might as well have been shouting, "Look at me! I'm a big bright target! Shoot me!" The confusion had been broken by the clumsiness of the shop's other occupants. But they were all talking to each other so excitedly that Kurtz decided not to act. Some guys had joined to help them, which added to his decision. Too many people helping would be awkward in its own way. Besides, they all looked like young high school kids. Teenagers could get prickly when adults intervened. Best to avoid that minefield. Still, Kurtz wondered, where was the shop attendant? He wanted to ask about the two models which confused him. With the two boxes under his arm, Kurtz walked to the front of the store, near the kids, to look for help and explanations. Some of the boys were, surprisingly, taller than him. "Excuse me," he asked them, "Do you know vere de store keeper is?" Kurtz hoped his English wasn't too accented that he would have to repeat himself for the next ten minutes. It would be really inconvenient if his whole trip was wasted repeating the same words over and over. |

The hardest part about perusing the aisles was seeing so many materials. Such was the dilemma of shopping: you knew you were here for a few things, but the layout of items made you want more and more. He closed his eyes, ignoring things such as Gelgoog kits and even mobile armors, walking until he found the section for action stands. He looked at each Gunpla displayed, seeing so many various poses. He remembered browsing the internet yesterday, where he saw a GM on an action stand...with a snowboard on its feet. "Now that was gnarly" he thought, chuckling at the idea as he selected a box. It looked decent enough: not too intrusive, but not quite invisible. Maybe he would see if he could modify it to display his Gunpla on the dashboard of his car. Was that even legal? He walked up to where the counter was, looking at the back of the tall, foreign-looking gentleman. "Huh, he looks cool" he thought. Given his love of racing and tuning, he held a great respect for foreigners. He liked Americans for their power and creativity, and the Europeans for their precision and dedication. Which one was this man? He couldn't identify the accent, but he knew it was English. Either way, he stood behind him in line, waiting patiently for the shop-keeper to appear. (OOC - Is anyone gonna rp as the shopkeeper? Should I?) |

OOC: I'll take on the role of shopkeeper as well as my character. IC - The G-Muse shopkeeper heard the shuffling of footsteps behind him as a customer approached the counter. The blonde-haired man turned, a toothpick inbetween his teeth, to face the young man behind him. He was holding a box with an action stand inside of it. The clerk smiled, trying to remember the last time he had purchased an action stand. "Hello there. Will that be-" He was cut off by a beeping sound that was coming from his Haro-shaped wristwatch. It started shouting "You're late!" over and over again. The clerks mouth practically dropped, the toothpick falling to the floor, as he remembered that he was supposed to be somewhere very important at this time. He panicked as he took off his G-Muse uniform, revealing a white t-shirt underneath. The man tossed the uniform to the side and called into the back. "Endo-kun! I have to step out for a bit! Can you watch the counter till I get back?!" A teenage boy with jet black shaggy hair stepped out from the back, looking a bit frustrated with the man. "Let me guess, running late again Bauer-san?" The German chuckled a bit to himself as he rubbed his head in embarassment. "Come on, it's not that often is it? Cut me some slack, Endo-kun." The black-haired boy sighed as he gestured towards the door. The clerk apologized for having to leave and went on his way, the boy taking his place at the counter. The boy was only an inch shorter than the customer, his golden eyes looking towards the door before turning to the young man standing before him. "I'm terribly sorry about that. Bauer-san tends to lose track of time every now and again and ends up being late to his appointments." He looked at the box and then back up at Hideo. "Will that be all?" He smiled at Mei-Ling and Misaki - despite the rudeness - and continued. "Yes, I was more than able to and before the tournament too! Thanks for remembering! This is..." The young American interrupted and introduced himself before he had the chance to. Smiling, he continued "he's new to the country and to Gunpla Battle...which reminds me, we really should get to the rest of the tour so I can show you the battle platform" Kindly making sure everyone was alright and all was taken care of, Matteo would wave politely and begin to lead off into the store itself. It wasn't like him to normally walk away like this but he was still acting as tour-guide and eventually he'd have to make it back to Gigun-Z Hobby Shop before Asami and Mizumi yelled at him like he was their child or bad puppy. With one final wave and regard for the two women, Matteo would lead Alex into the store and towards the battle-platform area in the back; To help him with learning the combat. |

Alex was looking over the pair and then to Matteo. "You seem to be popular." he said as they walked along through the store. Alex had waved to the pair as they moved past them. "Sorry, guess you can't spend time chatting when you showing me around." he rubbed his neck, feeling a little guilty. "Hey! I have an idea!" he said aloud with a grin he would turn to Matteo. "Think we could take them both on?" he pitched the crazy idea to Matteo. "Why not do a pair battle?" he smiled, generally curious about the idea. Edited by Arithion Ashvor, Apr 23 2015, 03:47 PM.

" Is that a challenge?" After the last round of the tournament Misaki had developed some sort of tendency to battle more often. However if these two kids fought them chances where Matteo would be able to study the tactics she employed better. Quite a double edged sword especially now that it was a known fact the two of them would face in the next round. Despite the string of victories the REGZ was still a very basic suit that wasn't has professionally built as the other participants. The raven haired girl had simply coated it in primer and applied a very crude coat of paint to the fuselage and weaponry, regardless as a leader she led by example and what kind of example would she set to her fellow teammates? " Hmm." She looked over at their coach Mei Ling with an inquisitive look to see what she thought about Alex's proposition. |

Michael relaxed a little having waited a moment having decided that they ether didn't notice him or didn't recognize him. Since he was already here he might as well push his luck a little right? yeah! So with that in mind and MS-05L Zaku I Sniper Type box in hand he kept looking. Michael had some money to use and some projects to work on. Nothing would stand in his way of that! Probably that is! But anyways he kept up his search still looking for what ever might be useful. He had a basic idea of what he wanted to do at this point. With some looking he spotted a model kit for the MS-14A Gelgoog and then for the AMS-119 Geara Doga. He had decided on these two for multiple reasons though mainly because he liked them to. So with three gunpla model kit boxes in hand he decided now would be the time to check out. So with a little stealth in mind trying not to draw attention from the two he approached the counter. He then patiently waited his turn as Hideo purchased an action stand. As he stood there he thought about ways he could use them to augment his current one. Some neat ideas popped in his head and looked forward to it. |

Hadrian backed off. Clearly these kids were about to get into a fight. Boys vs. Girls. For some funny reason, it bordered on flirtation. And they certainly weren't paying attention to him. "If I may interject, de better vay to ask de ladies on a date is to get a drink togeder. But maybe this is custom here so maybe not a good idea," he said to them. The shop keeper had turned up but now he was helping others. That was terribly inconvenient since Kurtz wasn't in the mood to wait around. There were plenty of other hobby stores where he could ask his questions and compare the prices. The German pulled out his phone, tapped out the names and prices of the two kits which he had questions about, and slid the phone back into his pocket. With another glance, he saw the attendant still working with the customers so Kurtz put the two Gunpla kits back where he had found them and left the shop. Once in the main hall, Kurtz looked around for a map or directory. As he looked, it became clearer that most of these shops were themed around Gundam but weren't hobby shops. Gundam chocolates, biscuits, restaurants, an electronics store with video games. Kurtz was touched to see a bookstore being frequented. Despite the rise of e-books and other electronic means of accessing and purchasing books, Kurtz liked old fashioned bookstores where there was a person one could talk to about books. So, if I was a shop directory, where I would be? Kurtz wondered to himself, noting that there had not been one at the entrance he had used. |

Hideo's eyebrows went up as he waited for the total, but he would have to wait as the mans' Haro wristwatch went off. He brought his hand up to his mouth and chuckled as the device spouted on about him being late. He knew that feeling. Racing at night was often called at the last minute, if they were meet-ups. Even other times, one might be cruising the Wangan line and get flashed by a rival. It was always about living in the moment... or rather, planning to live in the moment. "It's alright, I know what that's like" Hideo laughed, setting the box on the counter in case the boy-clerk needed to see it. "Yup, that'll be all" he said, withdrawing his wallet to cough up the dough. |

Akira took a look at the package to see what item it was and saw the sticker with the price on it. He scanned it into the machine, the screen indicating the required cash amount. Akira took the money from Hideo, popped the register open, put it in and withdrew his change. "Here you go." He slid the change onto the counter. "So, out of curiosity, what's your favorite Gundam series?" |

Matteo stared at the pair with renewed interest. The day had really gotten interesting! First he'd bumped into and began making a new friend in the American, Alex Knight. Then he had not only run into someone he'd met only in passing - but one of the possible opponent's he'd face in the next rounds. This was a hilarious situation if you thought about it. Hell, he was just there to pick up something for work. Grinning, he nodded at Alex. "Like the boss says, if you don't take time to enjoy the silly things in life - then why even wake up." Just as the resolve to accept if there was a challenge washed over him - someone came and took it away. "If I may interject, de better vay to ask de ladies on a date is to get a drink togeder. But maybe this is custom here so maybe not a good idea," he said to them. Taken aback, Matteo laughed nervously and realized something very important. "But if we do battle, you and I should use the store models, so we don't damage our Gunpla before the next rounds in the tournament." He smiled and nodded at Misaki, keeping in mind that they both still had matches to go in the tournament. He looked at Alex with a determined grin and noted that he should go with his own model...to really get a chance to feel his work come to life. Even if it was just built on the plane ride here, it was still important to see your art come alive. |
