"It's here! The semi-finals!" Announcer-san's voice seemed to pick up over the mic, with a bit of feedback echoing through the speakers.

"Through a large swath of opponents and some pretty epic and admittedly not-so-epic battles, we're finally down to the Final Four!"

The battle fields had been moved together to create two large playing platforms. The two matches would start simultaneously.

GUNPLA BATTLE COMBAT MODE, STARTUP. MODEL DAMAGE LEVEL, SET TO B.

The systems began to hum to life as the Plavsky Particles started to build up, indicating it was time to begin.

PLEASE, SET YOUR GP BASE.

"For field two... yeah, that one over there, not the other one; we have one Matteo Salvatore, who looks to be an Italian thoroughbred when it comes to Gunpla Battle! He's charged through his matches with unmatched firepower or overwhelming defense in his custom Gunpla, showing no mercy even to close friends!"

BEGINNING PLAVSKY PARTICLE DISPERSAL... FIELD 2, DESERT. PLEASE SET YOUR GUNPLA.

"His opponent on field two is a charming little thing; Misaki Nakajima! Don't let her fancy or unique dresses fool you... this young lady knows how to throw down the gauntlet. She's bulldozer'd her opponents with, from what I heard, is an incomplete Gunpla! This speaks leagues for her battling skills... a definite dark horse in this tournament! I definitely have my eyes on this cutey... let's see how she can fare against the iron wall brought forth by Matteo!

BATTLE START.

Not caring for formalities or pride Misaki's Gunpla was pressed hard at work as soon as it was deployed into the desert landscape. Truly she couldn't have asked for a better location to settle the score once and for all. The sandstorm currently sweeping trough the entire area nicely complemented the dull camouflage pattern she'd been using since the first round, the Golden compass and wreath of the extinct Nationale volkarmee still proudly emblazoned on its right shoulder.

For this battle she would employ the tried and tested tactic of digging a trench using the shield as a make shift shovel. She'd chosen a location right near the center which offered the closest thing to a clear line of sight but it was hard to see very far in this sandstorm.

With the full knowledge that the hole could have been her fortress as much as her grave Misaki's REGZ jumped in, only the head of the Mobile suit and the beam rifle poking out of that defensive position. This was the time to put those close range tank fighting tactics she'd studied to good use. More importantly with the limited amount of armament at their disposal she would have to think well in advance and take calculated risks when taking on that armored beast. ' I should have brought some magnetic hollow charges or a couple of geballte ladungs.' Nevertheless it was too late for regrets now.

Matteo stepped up to his station across the platform. Right hand extending, he placed the GP Base in it's resting slot and prepared the Holo-Cockpit for the battle. Announcer-san continued to amp up the crowd, which was still pretty large considering it was just a beginners tournament. It was probably the announcement that Aida was going to fight in the tournament, a former champion in his own right. Still, it didn't matter to him if there were a crowd or not. He just wanted to fight.

The encounter at G-Muse with Misaki Nakajima had been interesting to say the least. It seemed as if this one had been friends with his first opponent in the Final 16, Sia Gloster. It also came off as quite apparent that this match was to be all business, no time for kind words. His thoughts wandered for just a moment to the stands - where Asami, Mizumi and Boss Chen were gathered and watching. His mind flooded with thoughts about how he was the last one in the tournament (By some unfortunate pairing in the quarter-finals.) and what a victory would mean for the reputation of the store.

As the announcer finished her introductions, and the Platform announced the start the battle - Matteo was off. The white Gunpla he'd placed on his GP Base came to life after Plavsky particle dispersal. Its knees bending, weapons at the ready, it launched.

"Matteo Salvatore, Serafino..Here we go!"

The unit was propelled by the false catapault and was sent soaring into the air. Sandstorm raging on, he found it hard to continue skyward and so he landed in the furthest most point of the battlefield from the center in the south-east quadrant. Landing upon the arid wasteland, the Serafino's hover-jets burst to life causing it to traverse the landscape in search of his opponent. His eyes were peeled but he couldn't pick up much in this dustcloud. Deciding it'd be better to wait it out, the White Mobile suit dug in and kept its shoulder cannons at the ready

" Hmm." Quite satisfied with the size of the trench she'd dug in Misaki made the REGZ climb out of the hole. The REGZ left arm pointed below and from its finger it deployed a Decoy balloon inside the hole. Within seconds the dummy was fully inflated and the depth of the trench ensured it wouldnt be blown away by the raging sandstorm. From a distance and with such a low level of visibility anyone would take a shot at this cleverly set up bait.

Quite content Misaki made sure to memorize the dimensions of the trench as she moved further to the east, a few hundred yards from the first entrenched position, distance she covered by walking knowing that activating the boosters could accidentally give their positions away. After the right amount of paces the REGZ once more began digging out another trench with its shield and once more yet another Decoy was deployed inside the humble fortified position. Next up the REGZ moved a few hundred yards to the north until it stumbled upon a rocky formation. Once more its shield was put to work digging out another trench, the soil in this part of the map was harder but she was able to make enough room.

this time however the hole had been made slightly wider so it could also accommodate the real Gunpla but even more than that it allowed it to actually kneel down reducing its visibility almost completely but also leaving them unable to take a look outside. With an inflated fake REGZ as its only companion Misaki awaited with the rifle at the ready, the head of her gunpla spinning around in a swivel looking for any signs of activity.

The spider web was set and from this position she would have been able to see any beam discharges targeting any of those decoys not to mention even if the bait served its purpose she could always get back in the trenches she'd previously dug out and use them to hide or cover.

The match had only just begun and the sandstorm wasn't making anything easy. Finally having had enough of the waiting, Matteo activated his hover-legs and began to brave the Sandstorm itself. Shoulder mounted weapons at the ready, the White fat-unit traversed the terrain with little difficulty beyond the visual issues caused by the moving dirt. His unit sped towards the center of the arena, logic dictating that if there was anything to be seen it'd be from there. With the scenery passing by swiftly, Matteo swerved into a cusp of rocks that allowed him a chance to re-position himself and view the area from higher ground.

As the Serafino carefully, and without booster assistance, positioned itself atop the rock formation to gain better visual confirmation. For the moment, nothing happened - the fighter keeping his eyes open for anything that would seem strange when suddenly, at sixty yards out the moving ReGZ caught his attention if just barely. Its moving (Walking?) silhouette barely discernable with the sandstorm but there was no doubt, there was his opponent and it was indeed making motions. Watching, aiming, waiting; the ReGZ started using it's shield for...something. Squinting tightly, Matteo couldn't make out what it was doing but...at this point...there was no point to care.

Snapping both of the shoulder cannons off their mountings, the twin bazooka's were connected and thus the Seraphim Cannon was readied. Plavsky Particle output was at its highest since combat hadn't begun yet and as such it was with practiced timing that the white unit would line up its shot (as best it could with the dust), ready and fire. The large violet particle beam rippling across the distance threatening to turn the sand of the desert into glass. Its high condensed particle ratio made fast work of the distance and would come to bare upon the ReGZ with intense width and size.

While he had no illusions that a shot with that much terrain to pass would hit, Matteo used this opportunity to hide himself and the Unit among the Rocks and disconnect the weapon back into the twin bazookas. Their remounting was swift and the unit waited to see what would happen next. Sweat dripping from his face, Matteo couldn't study the face of his opponent from the confines of his Holo-Cockpit. Still, he had to guess that she was also taking this bout as serious as he was, all for the sake of her team.

While he didn't have that same luxury (a team) he did indeed have his loved ones in the crowd rooting him on. With the possibility of facing Aida in the finals so close that he could taste it, Matteo honed in on all of his abilities to make sure that this one match would be in his favor.

Thanks to the constant state of readiness and the thermal alarm blaring all over the virtual cockpitt Misaki was able to spot the approaching beam blast in time to make the REGZ duck into the half finished trench but she had to make the REGZ lay completely into the hole in order to avoid the majority of the blast. That large rock boulder behind them was transformed into a smoldering deformed chunk of molten rock. The intense heat of the super charged particles busted the dummy balloon that was keeping her company in that hole and when the real Gunpla poked its head up the sheer heat of the passing blast turned the sand around the trench into glass, however the storm had been sheltered thanks to a humble trench.

Judging by the trajectory of the blast and the distance it had taken to arrive it was easy to deduce it had been fired from long range. The beam rifle of the REGZ was aimed at the general direction, its zoom function detecting the dissipating heat signature and some movement as the Serafino scrambled for cover. Not feeling overly shy Misaki zero'd the sights firing once at the rock formation where the enemy was most likely hiding . Then as soon as the recoil from the first shot allowed the sights to set on that same spot she fired another well placed shot aimed at the exact same area hoping the two consecutive blasts would tear a hole trough the cover. Feeling bolder and just for good measure a third beam rifle discharge soon followed.

As soon as the third shot was in the air Misaki was quick to make the REGZ climb out of that trench surrounded by glass. The camouflaged machine began sprinting to the first trench she'd dug out at the center area. Hopefully those three consecutive rifle shots would be enough to keep the Serafino suppressed while she rushed to the second defensive line.

The East German REGZ jumped into the improvised defensive position, kneeling right away in order to stay out of the direct line of sight. The only thing sticking out of the trench was that Dummy balloon she'd set there previously.

( Blocked attack using trench and dummy ballon-1 AP.
Fired three beam rifle shots-2 AP.

The Serafino's Hoverjets kept the unit afloat on this arid battlefield. Bursting into movement, the white behemoth traveled around the large rock towering over in a curved hook like design. The beams impacting the makeshift cover as Matteo directed his unit straight into the open from the opposite side. With the obstruction out of his way, the titan zoomed in with it's optics and caught wind of the ReGZ and its movement to the next position. Approaching as fast as it could, the Serafino weaved through the Sandstorm without a care.

Twin cannons glowing as the Beam bazooka's fired shot after shot at the camo colored ReGZ, aiming slightly ahead of it's movements filling the area in which it ran with heavy particle concentration. Shot after shot would expand into small domes of heat and energy as it speckled the landscape. Continuing to close in, the Serafino fires one more double salvo in the direction the ReGZ was heading in the hopes that it's attack would land home. The expanding energy landing infront of it once more causing the ground itself to glow red hot with the particles heat. Little did he know that the last shot would land directly inside of another one of the enemies "Foxholes"

"Quit running and fight me!"

The Arena's sandstorm raged on, but the firing burning in the midst of the two battling was beyond any buffeting of dirty wind. The green visor of his Serafino flashed to life as the Hulking Unit could only watch and see what happened next. There was no more time for subtlety - that ended the moment Matteo had found Misaki playing in the sand - nor time for games. This was a Gunpla battle, the Beginners Tournament! This was the Semi-Final round, and he'd fought hard to get here. This was but one more obstacle in his way, and Matteo's burning passion was beginning to match his love from childhood. He was waking up more and more with every fight.

On the way to the trench Misaki was caught by a wall of beam fire that severed the head of REGZ clean off, damaging the sensor capabilities permanently for the rest of the match. Another beam discharge struck the left shoulder leaving the apogee motors in that limb out of commission, however the armor managed to absorb most of the blast which left the internal mechanism still working in relative good condition . " jeez! I cant believe Sia lost to an amateur such as yourself. I know whats up! you're such a lousy shot you want me to run towards you to make it easier." Was her clever response when the Italian accused her of cowardice.

By the time the REGZ reached to its initial defensive position its Shield was raised in time to intercept that last shot that by mere miracle was on the way to land right in the middle of the fox hole. The anti beam coating sizzled as it absorbed that lucky beam discharge and the heat behind the blast caused the dummy ballon that was there to slowly deflate. " Now you're just making it easy for me." It was amusing to see the Serafino charging head on towards them like this in such a reckless display. Matteo was so desperate he was rushing in completely exposed and while the mobility provided by the GN drive was impressive it still couldn't outrun a bullet or a properly aimed rifle shot.

Misaki assumed a firing stance, steadying her breath and not moving the REGZ as the barrel was brought towards the advancing beast. The sight trained at the Serafino's right leg and tracking it the first shot aimed at the point where the armor exposed the knee in the front. She was patient enough to let the recoil from the first shot fade in order to fire a second accurate shot at the same spot while making sure the barrel was aiming at the same place as the sight. Following the same procedure a third shot left the barrel. Unlike the reckless teenage boy , Misaki herself was calm knowing hunters with patience always scored the best kill. Right now her focus was to stop the armored beasts on its track, strangling its mobility as much as she could.

Misaki was well aware of her mobile suit limitations and strengths, she knew charging head on against that fat fairy dust generator would only end in disaster. Instead she would play this to her advantage managing her resources and using proper tactics and the skills she'd learned from Mei Ling to win instead of relying on her Gunpla as obviously Matteo had done up until this point. In the meantime she increased the throttle slowly but steadily letting the boosters heat up before putting them to good use in a maneuver that could potentially alter the course of this match.

( Blocked shot going for the fox hole- 2 AP.
Three beam rifle shots-2 AP.)

Announcer-san's OOC Ruling!

I believe this was brought to your attention earlier in the Chat Box, however it will be said here and changes will be requested to conform to the rules of the board and general human decency, nya~!

Black Cross-san! I'm not sure if you're aware as it wasn't fully brought to everyone's attention, but the Weapons List was recently updated! As your weapons typically fall into the Beam Cannon / Bazooka range, it would cost 2 AP to fire them individually, nya~!

Now, if you're firing from the hip with your bazooka weapons individually, that's where the cost comes from. Beam Cannons / Bazookas are powerful! They'd make quick work of the ReGZ's shield in that regard. However since you've been firing from the shoulders in a fire-linked fashion; both fire one after the other. In this regard, I do not mind two shots costing 2 AP as you have been doing... however this needs to be at half the power! As both weapons are firing simultaneously, firing at the same output of a single cannon would probably drain you relatively fast. So if you split the output between the two, we're good in my book, only when they're fire-linked! Right now, I won't accept cutting the AP cost to fire a beam bazooka held in the hand at half the power, nya~!

In that regard, if you need to adjust your previous post to take into account the additional AP cost, please do so! Other than that, I see no issues. The way you interrupted Vindel Mauser-chan during his digging of the holes I see as perfectly valid, taking logic and time into consideration. I'd expect anyone to bring a complaint against anyone who tries building fortifications in such a way when opponents enter the battlefield at the same time. You'd be safer and have more time doing so if you do it right where you launch, rather than traveling to the center of the field to start digging holes. Speaking of holes, read more below!

Vindel Mauser-chan! You've been cheating! We've made this clear in the chat, but the cost to block is 2 AP and you can block up to two instances of attacks per turn! I've gone back and reviewed multiple combat threads you've done and the cost you utilize to block seems to vary between 1 to 2 AP.

Combat Rules

Blocking - Blocking costs two action points to execute. When blocking either your shield sustains damage (too much damage results in the shield breaking) or you receive minor damage to your Gunpla. Beam shields can be "overpowered" when sustaining too much attacks, requiring a brief recharge.

However, this is clearly defined in the rules! Considering the past battles have already finished and you're already well under way in this one there's not much we can do, however for your latest post you need to adjust your block cost! The Reggae REGZ only has 5 AP available, but if you factor into the actual cost of blocking attacks, you've spent 7 AP in your last post, nya~!

(We'll definitely have to get you to finish the REGZ following this tournament so stuff like that doesn't happen again!)

Beyond that, some complaints...!

Rather than stating Black Cross-san is being inaccurate, you cannot determine that for him in the way you did!
"...volley while being on the move which made the beam discharges wildly inaccurate even if the aiming sights he was using to calculate the shots showed the contrary..." I think he's being fairly accurate, taking into consideration your actions, in which you're effectively dodging his attack even though this is not factored into your cost.

You're sprinting past the barrage, in a heavy sandstorm, in a desert (Why have your trenches not been filled with sand yet, nya?), while using your shield to block any particle spray or heat from the attack (It doesn't sound like your shield is taking the hits directly, but instead taking the aftermath as you run through the attacks) I also feel that whether it's the sandstorm or the desert sand you're sprinting across, far from effortlessly you'd be having trouble running if you weren't flying or hovering! Sand's a bitch, nya~!

On that note, I don't mind at all you defending your fox hole how you did, granted you are able to get to it!

Regardless, these are my thoughts on this battle, and I want you to adjust to them as such! Take into account your environment, your opponent and the limitations of your own Gunpla! Regardless of what you think Vindel Mauser-chan, I could care less whether you win or lose. The same goes for Black Cross-san! I don't care who wins, for I am the unbiased and adorable Announcer-san, nya~!

(In all seriousness, both of you need to take a chill pill on this. Vin, I know you're trying to make up for the weaknesses of your incomplete ReGZ through taking advantage of your environment, but your environment doesn't make that very feasible for you. Digging holes large enough for a Gunpla... they'd rapidly fill back up with sand during a desert storm, not to mention it'd take more than a few minutes to dig a hole deep enough to fit you, even if you're using a shield. You're also sprinting across a desert to avoid enemy fire which is essentially dodging; I don't think running across a desert would be very easy.

Granted, I don't feel that Kieran should have been able to detect you so easily in this storm with your camouflage, either; even if you were moving about. Both of you have made from what I see as an outside observer mistakes that irk me.

However, you did bring pretty much bring this upon yourself by starting out on the board with such an incomplete Gunpla (This won't be directed at just you, either; several of you have started out with fairly basic Gunpla, so don't be surprised if in certain situations you are overpowered by your opponent). It was going to happen eventually when you came across a mobile suit with heavier firepower and defenses. In your previous matches you could make use of your surroundings to take them out, but not so much here. Well, you could have used the rocky areas to your advantage but you yourself decided to stick it out in the middle of the desert in fox holes.

Anyways, I don't care who wins, contrary to what you were saying to me, Vin. Whether or not you win, the final match is still probably going to be a major headache if the semi-finals for both matches are receiving complaints as they are. This is one of the reasons why I will not hold a match for third place.

You put yourself in your current situation, so if you don't like it you can go ahead and drop out of the tournament like you continue to threaten. However I feel like I need to be a total douche and point out you would be an extreme hypocrite in doing so. You're the one after all who has such a valued opinion towards those who quit, and how they deserve to be ostracized and chased out.)

Anyways, that's all, nya~!

Chop chop, get to it! Once any changes in both of your posts that are necessary are made, combat may resume and the 48 hour notice kicks into high gear, nya~!

Matteo's approach continued as the distance between the ReGZ and the Serafino became near negligible. The twin-linked shots had dont their job in a way, causing damage to the ReGZ's head unit and frame (though Matteo had no idea as that was not his focus) making it more and more apparent as to which of the two units was more prepared for this fight. Still, Misaki was putting up a small fight even with the odds stacked against her. As the dust and fire subsided from the wave of attacks launched, the Serafino found itself under attack once more.

Pink energy coalesced together to become an attack as shot after shot was fired upon the hulking white figure from the ReGZ's beam rifle. The Serafino's special featurs activated as its GN Field - ever present - caused the pink lances of energy to curve around the circumference of it's barrier, failing to make a direct hit to the intended target. This did however give Matteo an amazing opprotunity - as firing from the Foxhole itself and the fact that the Serafino was pursuing the ReGZ all the way to this point had helped in locating where the enemy was!

Without much more issue, the Serafino unleashed another volley of Bazooka fire from their shoulder mounted locations while the pink lances of energy impacted against his field. The fire-linked shots would fall directly ontop of the Foxhole - and by extension - the ReGZ. The four lances of energy would fall onto their traget in waves of explosive power and searing heat. While not as powerful as the two weapons were individually unmounted, their higher cannon like output would still leave any gunpla unfortunate to be caught within in serious condition. Matteo's focused demeanor caused him to ignore the attempts at insulting and hurting his feelings. Ignoring all the passive aggressive statements that his opponent made about him being an "Amateur" and more, Matteo simply kept his attention on the goal. Winning.

Misaki could bark, yell, scream or insult all she wished. In the end, he didn't need to dodge her attacks. He didn't need to worry about the young looking girl brandishing insults. Because in the end - he would win.

All this time Misaki was preparing for a sudden maneuver increasing the throttle on the backpack boosters in order to get them ready for an emergency rocket propelled jump out of the trench in the nick of time as the the beam cannon blasts zero'd in her position. The battered REGZ lifted off the trench avoiding much of the blasts, one of the discharges impacted its right leg damaging the apogee motor but it was damage she was willing to overlook at least until it was time to land ...

Now airborne she could take aim with the hip mounted rocket launchers right on the path of the advancing Serafino letting loose two of the projectiles directly from above, not waiting to see if the projectiles hit their mark or not the sheer kinetic energy of the backpack boosters pushed the charred, decapitated frame to a position behind the hovering Serafino. Quickly she engaged the leg apogee motors to soften up the fall, however thanks to the damage previously sustained only the one on the left leg engaged which almost caused the REGZ to fall over after that rough landing. Misaki was only able to prevent this by sticking the shield on the ground gaining some leverage.

Not wanting to remain overly exposed the right arm of the REGZ was raised inflating a Dummy balloon between her and the Serafino who would probably make a turn and prepare for another strafing run. Even in this damaged state her Gunpla could still move however since the sensors where damaged it meant she would have to stick to close range fighting which could be potentially dangerous considering all the firepower the enemy had at its disposal.

attack with two rockets-2 AP.

The explosion errupted within the foxhole turning the makeshift defense into a burning part of the desert. A burst of movement caught Matteo's gaze as the ReGZ lurched upward - avoiding the blast the beaten up model manuevered into a position in which it was able to let loose two of it's rockets to come screaming towards the Serafino. Quickly shifting his model's hover-protocols to a full reverse, the white hulk began moving in reverse causing the rockets to chase after him. Hand moving swiftly, the SP Mode (GN FIELD) was activated and in that swift moment, the rockets impacted upon the particle field and caused an explosion.

Yet, if it seemed to slow the unit down there was no sign as the Gundam 00 Unit burst out the "back end" of the explosion and kept its reverse going as it disabled its GN Field - the threat of danger having passed. Never losing track of the now falling/manuevering ReGZ, the Serafino moved into a position that would allow it the ultimate advantage, the ReGZ would be in mere seconds...directly infront of him. Bringing the GN Field down, the Beam Bazooka's were angled into their position on the shoulders and readied for the next volley as they let loose upon the falling.

The ReGZ landed with a stumble and in that exact moment the Bazooka's fire would close in on the mangled frame. Four beams coming to impact onto the unit the moment it had touched down with a start - each attack having been fired in perfect harmony with the fire-linked mode working in overtime. The crowd gasped as Announcer-san yelled out, "Is this it?!"

The intense fight had been one sided so far, and while the ReGZ was trying its very best - it took everything he had for Matteo to not call out to Misaki with the phrase "You are not Prepared!".

" oh! fuck my life." Everything that Misaki could do right now was close her eyes and wait for the beam blasts to tear large holes on the REGZ frame reducing it to a molten piece of burning plastic as it plummeted to the sandy ground below. The battle ended and she couldn't at least scratch the enemy. No matter it was merely a game and truth to be told she didnt expected to make it this far. When the holographic cockpit dissipated she gathered what little pieces remained and walked off the stage, graciously straightening out her long hair.

It didn't really mattered in the end she still had her friends at the Condor Legion who always looked forward to improve their battling skills and Gunpla crafting. There was no salvaging for this battered ReGZ so she disposed of the plastic scraps in a nearby dumpster. I would be far easier to work with a brand new one and HGUCs where cheaper at G-muse if bought in bulk.

"Battle Ended."

As the computer system detected the winner, the plavsky field dissipated around them and the models were left in their final positions as the combat ceased and the crowd roared for both combatants. As the Holo-Cockpit vanished from exsistance, Matteo stood there panting heavily. Sweat dripped from his brow as if showing more effort than had seemingly been thought used as the weight of the fight finally took its toll. He watched without words as Misaki Nakajima gathered her kit and swiftly walked away. He wanted to call out and thank her for the fight - but she moved too quick and he was just not fast enough.

Gathering the Serafino, the young italian moved towards his friends in the crowd and prepared himself for what would be his final round. Turning on his heel he gazed back at the fight between Aida and Monica. He hoped Aida would win, but had to admit Monica was impressive in her own right. Only time would tell whom he'd meet in the finals.
