Kurtz approved of Akira's idea. It was a dilution of fighting power in the left thrust but the change made it into a three-pronged assault. To be able to meet every assault, the enemy would then have to be weaker everywhere, and thus surrendering local superiority to him. Especially if they did something silly. "Good plan. Make sure you keep them off balance then so that the Dom can hit them while they are blind!"

His Zaku shifted as it detected an object moving. Kurtz's jaw dropped to see the enemy rush out like that. Time to open fire and ruin the fellow's day! He squeezed the trigger, firing a ten round burst of automatic fire at the GM Command heading towards Seelowe 4. Swiftly, Kurtz pushed off the building which he had been taking cover behind and moved swiftly, following the GM while screening his movements as best as he could from the others. If he stayed in one position, it would keep him known to the enemy still inside the base whereas movement would tell them only that he was somewhere out in the urban sprawl.

He crouched behind a smaller apartment complex to steady himself, using the building to shield him from enemies in the base, as he raised the rifle again to fire at the GM. Kurtz led it off with his single shot HE grenade set to proximity detonation. He fired it right at the GM's back. Then a second burst of ten 90mm rounds.

With his ammunition exhausted, Kurtz tapped the commands to have the Zaku reload behind its cover.

Seelowe 4's player was reckless. Kurtz had known that from the first match when he had gone first and then gotten separated from the others. He wasn't unskilled but the boy seemed to have a tendency to rush things. Not the best point man but, in this case, it was a useful to have him. His Dom represented a major threat which the other team had to honor. So now, it was up to the other Dom to make like the Ghost Division and strike from where the enemy felt most secure. Kurtz didn't consider himself a Manstein or a Rommel but it certainly helped that his training did emphasize the study of their operational planning.

Michael had noticed Alex and his Gm on sensors first and then by sight due to the obviousness of it but could do nothing at the moment as he had already been in the air and had been engaging Mei-ling. He however made sure to keep them to the back of his head so that he would not be to very surprised on the way down. By the time he had gone to the ground and engaged hover mode he had nearly forgotten about the GM that had disappeared behind him somewhere. However thanks to Kurt's firing on Alex and all that it had been kept fresh in his mind. Thus he glanced back as he went backwards and spotted Alex's GM once more just as it took aim at him to fire. With a yank of the control orbs he turned his MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II around and as he did that at the height of the spin he thrusted right whilst bending the knees of his MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II. However as he did this dodge maneuver the 90mm bullpup pitted the back left waist of his MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II. The rounds hit a decently venerable spot so that would be some dangerous damage right there. Seeing Alex come right at him with a beam saber Michael reacted as quickly as he possible could. Raising his Heat Saber Type7 he twisted his wrist and moved the super heated blade in the way of the beam saber. The two blades would repel each other with some force after a moments contact. At this moment Michael knew he had to retaliate. Without really thinking he fired the chest mounted Scattering Beam Gun right at Alex at what is essentially point blank range. It produced a very blind light capable of blinding an enemy unit. Michael then followed this up by twisting the arm of his MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II and slashing downwards with the Heat Saber Type7 right down the middle of Alex's GM. After that he then reversed and boosted his MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II backwards towards the Federation Base wall.

Alex blinked, he was lucky the shield was up and in front of his GM Command. The rounds of machine gun pinged off the shield, his GM Command continuing it's motions to intercept the Dom. A few of the rounds managed to clip the GM Command's shoulder, but most of it cosmetic damage only. Though now he knew he would take fire from behind, he decided to use that to his advantage. When the beam saber bounced off the heat saber, Alex glanced behind him to see the grenade flying toward him. The Zaku II Kai that had shot him in the air was attacking him from behind! The beam scatter didn't blind him much due to him looking behind, he kicked the GM Command into action. "Thanks for the help!" Alex said, the thrusters lifting the GM Command up into air the dodge the attacks from behind. Ironically this also meant the swing of the heat saber missed his GM Command, plus left the Dom exposed. The grenade rounds and a group of machine gun rounds the Zaku II Kai had also fired off after the grenade round.

Alex had jumped toward the base to get inside the wall, twisting his mobile suit to face the Dom in midair. Shield was up and ready for another counter attack from the sneaky Zaku II Kai. He watched to see if it would be able to dodge the rounds it's friendly fired without thinking about it. If the Dom to dodge the shots, then he lit it up with a large grouping of vulcan fire. If the Dom didn't dodge, he would fire the vulcans at it anyway, trying to finish it off. He was aiming at the damaged midsection on the back of the Dom in either case. It was exposed to him, he knew the pilot of the Dom had to risk being hit by friendly rounds. Less his weakened area get shredded from the vulcans.

Landing in the base, he would begin scanning as he ducked for cover under the wall. He stored the beam saber to recharge, then reload a fresh mag into his 90mm Bullpup. "Let's see how you Zeons like that?" he asked himself. "Phalanx Four to any remaining Phalanx, what is the situation?" he called out for his teammates.

The fighting outside of the base was getting more fierce and still the enemy didn't appear behind the walls of the base's flanks as william had intended. It was then that he saw Alex fly back over the base's front walls. A frontal attack? He watched his teammate reloading in front of him. The enemies would also be needing to reload at some point, or they have switched over to close combat weapons. He wasn't sure on what happened over behind the wall but he had to do something, especially if the enemy is slow.

"Phalanx two, providing cover."

A swing and a strong push of the orbs in front of him moved his GM around from the hanger's wall and started up the thrusters. Readying up his rifle and shield, he jumps and flies up onto the top of the wall. He quickly scanned the surroundings and spotted both the Rick Dom and the Zaku II Kai. If it was anyone's guess the larger suit would have had to carried the launcher and caused those explosions eariler. Quickly taking aim, William fired his GM's 90mm Bullpup at the larger mobile suit.

Emptying half the clip. William decided that he wouldn't stick around for their counter-attack and stay at the top of wall. He jumped backwards down and behind the wall, landing hard next to alex.

"Phalanx four. You preped?"

"Those darn walls" Hideo chuckled, manipulating his Dom II so that it carried the giant bazooka over-shoulder instead of under. Given that the other team would make good use of cover, and not movement on the streets, he figured he would have better ability to position the rocket launcher this way. Plus, it would be easier to drop or get rid of if need be. What was worse was that his 'need for speed' was growing more difficult to abate. He was one of the few on his team, he figured, who hadn't fired a shot yet. Of course the benefit to this was that he was still hidden and probably hadn't been spotted, but what was the fun in that? He could shoot at range, then simply duck back before the rival GM's spotted him, right?

"I'll settle with that then. Seelowe units, damn the walls. This Dom would be a target if I jumped them and I can't maneuver without room inside them. I'll make a hole."

The Dom II took aim at the wall, reaching from behind some tall foliage to fire two missiles. The first missile headed toward the wall where the hangar was. If the round hit, it would blow a breach through. The second missile, however, would be the kicker. Hideo didn't know if there was a simulated fuel truck or storage behind one of the walls, but certainly a big missile would send up a mushroom cloud and enough force to obliterate the wall. Either or, two missiles to a wall would be plenty damage enough to make a hole, he hoped. He really just wanted to zoom in and use his heat saber.

Zoom zoom.

RULING

After being approached by Sigma and Headlesseeker about an issue in the fight, and amidst the multiple complaints and arguments occuring on the board - I've been opted to intervene in this matter and offer a ruling on the situation at hand.

HeadlessSeeker:

After reading your initial attack on both the base and on Mei-Ling, and how you tried to control the decent of your unit - your vulnerable to attacks from this position. That said while you did take damage, I do think that it would've damaged your thrusters just a bit more and possible been a bit more serious than described.

Arithion:

While your dodge action is plausible, the light from the flash would've indeed blinded/dazed Arithion as after watching build fighters again; Holo-Cockpits don't utilize Rear cameras with an actual Rear facing monitor. Instead, Rear Monitors are placed in an upper corner as this is meant to simulate a "Game". That said, The Beam Spread attack would've indeed Blinded Arithion's character which means that any true ability to "Dodge" said attack is made difficult as anything more than reaction. Furthermore, even if Alex was gazing away from his front-facing screen...your unit was locked face to face with the Dom and as a result, all its primary optics are focused in that spot. The bright light would attack both peripherally as well as head on and still cause a momentary daze and at the very least cause the optics to repair (as the effect subsides) from "Flashburn". As a result, I'm going to allow his Dodge however he is indeed open to attack in your next post as his monitors would've been (as you would've as seen in the episode with the Meijin vs Meijin) as would he of been; effectively blinded. Keeping in mind that Michael Grimme also had slashed during the moment he finished using the flash attack. This will require a reaction of some-kind or recognition as I don't believe that there would be ample time to react to something that one wouldn't necessarily be able to see after such an attack - or would be too distorted to make out.

I'll allow the post as it stands as at this point any further deviation would cause more problems - however if edits are deemed desired by current parties then I will allow them. Otherwise, an outcome can be decided by above aforementioned parties (Yourself, Seeker and Arithion) and launched accordingly

"Okay, provide fire support. Do you see any other enemy units?" Kurtz responded to Hideo.

The enemy GM was making a break for his base again and exposing his back to Kurtz. Good thing he had a fresh magazine too.

He fired a five-round burst at the GM before advancing forwards to get closer and support Michael's Dom. Kurtz stopped, bracing his Zaku II Kai, tracked his enemy's movement and fired again at the GM. Thus far, he had not spotted any other hostiles around. Hopefully the flankers would spot something soon.

Kurtz's Zaku drew one of its grenades, thumbed its knob to a quick 3 second timer and tossed it in the GM's direction. "Boom time," Kurtz grinned.

Michael the very moment he saw Alex boosting up decided to follow kicking thrusters and following unintentionally dodging the grenade round that flew just under his feet. The machine gun rounds however did hit his legs pitting the front of them and causing his thrusters to loose power tremendously slow. Alex would have an edge in aerial speed and climbing speed now as his thrusters sputtered on their last breaths. As Alex went over his MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II Michael swung his heat saber up and at the lower legs of the GM twisting to do so. When ALlx fired those vulcans at him as he came down Michael had not chance to dodge at this point so he took them hoping his Dom's armor would infact hold. The rounds dented and occasionally pitted his armor in weak spots further degrading his torso though not fatally so due to the lack of power of the vulcans. He was about to react but unfortunately he had tunnel visioned at this point and got blind sided by William. The machine gun rounds pitted his gunpla heavily and two decently key systems were taken out then and there by this move. When he landed there was no cusion of air from hoverjets and instead he landed hard stumbling a little and the back thrusters of his gunpla no longer functioned. With both enemies behind the wall Michael took a step and a turn taking aim at said wall and fired a bazooka round. The round hit the wall blowing a decently large hole in it before a smallish section of it collapsed. Michael then jumped out of the way of the hole to the left his gunpla crushed the groun beneath it as grass was compressed and bled underneath and dirt up turned.

2 AP for Dodging?, 1 AP for Heat Saber Swing, 1 AP Movement, 2 AP for firing bazooka, 1 AP for movement

"Over the time limit!"

All of the players looked up in disbelief. The match had been so brief. Kurtz looked around frantically. Who had won?

"Victory! Zeon!" the system announced proudly.

Kurtz relaxed his shoulders and straightened his back. He had no idea what any of it meant. But he had led his team to two consecutive victories.

"Thank you, everyone! The next event will begin tonight at 5 PM! Please come back refreshed and ready for a new fight!" one of the store's staff members announced to the crowd. Immediately, the watching audience began to disperse and the players themselves relaxed. "All participants will have a 50% off coupon for this event. Prizes for the next event will be unveiled later today!"
