I got very creative during a late night study session so I thought up an idea of a nice, big battle royal kinda like how episode 10 in Gundam Build Fighters handled it.
(Will update this post with more information / better formatting later. Out of time atm)
There are no enforced teams here, it’s a pure free for all with no real winner or loser. Think of it as an exercise in writing and roleplaying. People can freely enter and leave whenever they like. The map will be based on field 11 (castle) but with many variations. I got the idea off some of the Dynasty Warrior games (Especially Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3), along with some of gundam’s obscure and old ideas.
BATTLEGROUND MAP

The key locations of the battlefield include:
- Castle – This is the primary fortress of the land. It is made up of 4 large towers made up of walls. Both of the walls and towers have gunpla sized Crenellations. Inside this massive citadel is 2 armouries full of usable solid weapons (swords, spears, hammers, ball and chain, bows, crossbows, etc.) and the throne room. Inside the throne room there is many stone pillars and a huge, golden chair with a 1/144 non-SD knight gundam sitting on it (inactive, you can displace or destroy it without issue).
- Lakeside Village – This is the largest town in the map. It’s littered with housing around the centre of it, the southern part of it has the village mayor’s estate. The east is a warehouse with peers and boats lined up by the side. The northern side of it holds a warehouse for the needs of the people.
- Lake – This lake depth varies but its peek is extremely deep. An old shrunken shrine can be found here dedicated to old, ancient gods.
- Shrine – This shrine is very old, built in style unknown to human hands. A strange stature of an unspeakable, alien being lies at the centre.
- Mountain Village – This smaller village doesn’t have many houses, but has many warehouses loaded with common, everyday goods and spare stone.
- Mountain fortress – This fortress is built into the mountain to protect the kingdom from invaders from the east. It has a towering view over the entire kingdom, perfect as a sniping position. It is made up of one large keep, divived by 4 tower sections, and a larger uprised and walled up courtyard with Crenellations.
- Northern Mountains – The Northern Mountains are more stable than the north eastern ones in compared to footing and can be used as a foothold for sniping positions.
- Northeast Mountains – These Mountains have a smoothed, sloped surface. This makes it not ideal for standing on but you can slide down it.
- Border fortress – This large fortress guards the walls that surround its kingdom. The fortress itself features a small armoury similar to that of the castle. The fortress is made up of one single large keep and a large courtyard area. It's walls have Crenellations.
- Border walls – These walls protect the kingdom from invaders from the east. Part of the section sits off the border edge of the field and falling off here will result in a ring out. All of the walls have Crenellations built into them.
- Mines – These large mines were used to supply the kingdom with all of its materials. This part of the map is actually separate with its own map. Minecarts on tracks are littered around here, inside of them are mining picks and medieval level mining tools that can be used here. The mines themselves are very dark inside, so vision is greatly reduced while in here.
- Bridge – This Bridge is made of wood with iron braces and bolts holding it in place. It can be cut and destroyed without much issue.
- River – The River dividing the land is roughly 2-4 mobile suits deep, depending on how close you are to the edges.
- Western Forest – A thick, forested area littered with trees and wildlife.
- Roads – The road around the kingdoms are more or less dirt with flattened cobblestones paved into them. They are sturdy and provide a flat, even ground.
MINES MAP

Some general things to note here:
- This world is basically a non-SD version of a SD Gundam kingdom with a few tweaks and other references thrown in. Everything here is sized to a 1/144 scale so the actual map size is pretty massive. This includes objects in the environment and can be used to your environment like a normal MS weapon. (Their profiles will be listed here).
- The walls and stone in the battleground are very sturdy stuff and while they can be destroyed it would take considerable effort to do so (at least mega launcher / massive explosive level weaponry to cleanly tear them apart), everything else in the world reacts as it would normally in real life (wood burns, smoke from fire, etc.).
- Large buildings and walls have a deep foundation so you can’t collapse them via removing the ground under them.
- Latecomers are allowed (They have to confirm in this original thread beforehand). When entering the battle late you can only enter the battleground far away from others. This is to prevent you from quickly jumping in and kill stealing / interrupting battles.
- You can leave by moving off the edge of the field (also state in this thread if you’re leaving the battle). You can re-enter by the rules of a latecomer however you will still maintain any damage you previous had before.
This battle will have some additional combat rules as well here, mainly to deal with mass freeform combat posts:
- When fighting somebody or with multiple people you need to tag your posts at the top of them with who, to allow clarification to others. E.g. “ENTERING BATTLE WITH X or FIGHTING X”. This needs to be done every post! This is to both set a turn order for people in battle and to prevent a mess of people fighting in an unformed chaos. The last thing we want is 6-8 people posting out of order... that’s just going to cause insane arguments and death glares in chat/Skype.
- When entering combat against 2 or more people the turn order will adjust based on how that person entered. E.g. Player A and Player B are fighting so the order would be A, B. Player A just posted then Player C entered their battle and the order would change based on that, so the order would be then A, C, B.
- When out of combat, you can move freely about within reason. Note the distance between where are you and your announced destination and wait for others to post for a bit. For example you cannot magically teleport from the castle to the border fortress!
- When in combat with another, your post speed is limited only to the replies of the combatants, you can ignore others posting speeds so long that they don’t relate to other players not involved with the combat or with massive changes to the terrain.
- If you’re basically watching a battle AND intend on acting against others in it you have ENTERED BATTLE with them, no exceptions! This includes actions such as snipers watching and firing, massive beam weapon attacks against a large section of the map to tag multiple players, etc. Also note that just because you’ve entered battle with people doesn’t mean that people have spotted you.
Finally. The main goal of the battle royal is to create cool battles, develop characters and have fun. If things get out of hand with heated, hot blooded augments or somebody trying to abuse the rules the battle will end pre-maturely.
