The Pallamaran J-79 super Mirage 2K is a heavily updated Mirage 2000. In the late 1970s, a batch were procured for the Luchtmacht, and proved successful, resulting in procurement of an agreement for license production. The type was used exclusively as a hot and fast interceptor, and was used to bridge the gap between when the J-84 could reach service in effective numbers, being used to filling the need for an interim fighter. By 2008, the original aircraft were pretty worn out, so it was decided to take out the spare airframes that had been in storage, and heavily update them for service in the reserve units, which are tasked with air defense.

Two squadrons fly the Super Mirage, which handles most mundane interception and air defense tasks. At least four aircraft are always on full alert status, ready to be scrambled at anytime. Features include an all new "Glass Cockpit", JHMCS, AESA radar, AIM-9X, AIM-120C/D AMRAAM, and internal 30mm cannon. Unlike other combat aircraft in the Luchtmacht inventory, the Super Mirage 2K is a dedicated, single purpose platform, which keeps weight down, and performance up.

The Super Mirages are expected to serve into at least the 2020s, by which time they'll be replaced with the J-20 AMF or with J-84 E/F variants.

The aircraft illustrated here is wearing the "True Blue" air defense scheme, which has been popular since the Third World War.

The J-20 Advanced Multirole Fighter is a joint project between the Grand Duchy of Pallamara, the Empire of Osterea-Grundari, and the Empire of Wogou. Understanding that despite its advanced aerospace firms, such as Fokker, PAI, Signaal, NRL, and others, Pallamara realized it didn't have anything like the resources to field a fifth generation fighter on its own, so instead negotiated with allied nations to form a consortitium for the J-20 project.

Despite being multirole, the aircraft is optimized as a fighter, with a narrower and wider bomb bay, which somewhat limits its ability to internally carry heavy weapons, being confined to 1000 lb JDAMs, not the heavier 2000 lb versions, though these can still be carried outside the aircraft on wing pylons, at the expense of stealth. Doctrine calls for the J-20 to establish air superiority and carry out SEAD missions to pave the way for earlier generation aircraft to carry out the heavy strike role. Designers have also admitted that some stealth capability was deliberately compromised to allow for better air to air combat performance. To save weight and complexity, special modular mission packages have been developed to quickly configure the aircraft for any desired role. Known ones include SEAD, Deep Strike, and Special Weapons Delivery modules. The latter two are suspected to include a special stealthy, jettisonable external external weapons bay for weapons that won't fit inside the aircraft's internal bay, however, any details on this are highly classified.

Currently, only a single squadron has been delivered, and this is largely being used for training purposes, with IOC expected to be reached by 2018. The aircraft is anticipated to replace the Super Mirage in active service, with the last of the type being moved to reserve squadrons, and supplement the other varieties in service. A navalized version is expected to enter service in the 2017-2018 timeframe. Discussions are also underway with the Project partners about developing an unnmanned version, or a variant that can operate in either mode, making the future of this aircraft interesting indeed. It is also hoped that export sales will be forthcoming, though depending on the customer, these are likely to be downgraded compared to the Partnership's fighters.
