![]() Memorial of Rebirth, Buchador Celibraean man gets 15 years for ex-wife's murder in Buchador A Celibraean lawyer who allegedly shot his ex-wife to death two years ago in Buchador after watching a football game on TV has been sentenced on Friday to 15 years in prison. The 37-year-old Celibraean man was found and arrested at the scene with the murder weapon in June 2014. According to the court, the man executed his 42-year-old wife with five shots shortly after watching a football match with his son. It was stated that the man feared his wife, who was Essalieyan, would return to Essalieya with their two children after the end of their marriage. The man had bought the gun in Celibrae just a few months previously. He claimed that he remembered taking his son back to his ex-wife's home, but that he had no memory whatsoever of the events which led to her death. The defense team sought an acquittal in relation to the alleged memory loss, but the court was not persuaded, and sentenced him to 15 years in custody in Polmagrom. The murder took place in the centre of Buchador. The ex-spouses had apparently been arguing for years. The couple had originally lived, according to media reports, in St. Grothbord but then had separated and divorced. The lawyer had moved to Puldania, while the woman and her children moved to Buchador. Polmagromese authorities had previously imposed a restraining order on the man because of his behaviour towards his ex-wife. |

![]() One of the highland cows is still on the loose Highland cow gives farmers the runaround Police are still searching for one of two highland cows that escaped from a farm on Saturday and went on the rampage. The shaggy beasts were being unloaded from a truck in Pontros, in the eastern canton of Veretonfüred, when they managed to give the farmer the slip. Veretonfüred police said one cow had been recaptured while another was still on the loose. One young animal had seized its chance to enjoy unaccustomed freedom, the police report said. But instead of heading for the meadow the cow had made for the village where there were several sightings. A villager had reported seeing a cow charging a hotel front with its horns. However, police said no one had been injured and there had been no damage to property. Farmers and police spent several hours chasing the animal on Saturday before finally sedating and capturing it. The other cow headed off in the direction of the Berlini pass, where it is still at large. Edited by Polmagrom, Jun 20 2016, 04:45 PM.

![]() Schools are being urged to teach programming. Schools urged to turn out computer whiz kids Polmagromese children need to be prepared for a digital future by learning computer programming at school, according to politicians and economic leaders. Ruby Zylka, a Liberal parliamentarian and IT entrepreneur told the Gazeta Varsovienne programming skills were essential. “No pupil should be allowed to do the Polmagromese high-school leaving exam unless he/she knows at least one programming language,” Zylka said. Bodnár Adina of the Christian Democrats, who chairs the parliamentary science, education and culture committee, agrees. “Elementary programming skills are very important,” she said. The politicians’ remarks came after Paul Georghiou, the former director of the Polmagromese National Bank, said primary schools should teach programming alongside reading and writing. Georghiou’s comments at the Polmagromese Economic Forum earlier this month earned him applause, the paper said. According to the report, Polmagrom is facing a shortfall of 60,000 IT specialists by 2022. Moves are already underway to integrate computer science in the primary school curriculum in northern Polmagrom, and a pilot project has been launched. Teachers at 200 primary schools are being trained and initial results are promising. It’s hoped Polmagrom could even take on a pioneering role in teaching IT skills to young children. At the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Polmagrom, computer science is set to become an obligatory part of primary school teacher training.
