Until we have fixed the Supporters Association section of the site, I will use this thread to let you know whats happening with the SA. If you want access to SA forum, please post in here and I will PM you the password.

We have had a very successful launch night with a lot of great ideas. Minutes have been taken so you will get the detail soon. I have taken everybody's ideas aboard and will pull together the 2011 HTFCSA plan with Scott over the next few weeks.

Can I thank everyone who attended for making the SA a possibility and I am sure we will achieve great things.

I sincerely hope that this S A goes really exceptionally well. It will bring us all together and maybe stop some of the aggro which seems to exist between us on another forum. I am pleased that so many good people have come together to organise it. Its just got to be succesful if we all pull together. If you could send me the password for the S A forum I would be very pleased many thanks

I have disabled the password protection for the time being. Whilst we need a SA section, I don't think the password option will be the best. Until we are voting or discussing confidential matters, I will leave it open to everyone.

Cloak and dagger eh? What possibly could be that sensitive that only those members of the association are allowed to discuss amongst themselves whilst other fans are not privvy (I'm not saying they should have a voice unless they are paid up members by the way) to the same issues.

Not a criticism, just an observation which I hope will be taken in the spirit in which it is meant. Nothing wrong with having some transparency in proceedings - that way the potential for bad feeling is avoided.

For the record I do intend to join when I am able to get to the see a game at the ground and hand my money over (could be March at this rate!!).

I can see your point Perton and that is why I have disabled the password.

There would be two main reasons for limiting the access:

First would be if it was a vote by members of the HTFCSA, a way to ensure that only members were voting would be to limit a forum to the email addresses in our directory (which I have no idea how to do yet) but the password option allowed me to do this. However this would not have to be in the main HTFCSA forum which again is a reason why I have disabled it.

Secondly there may be an issue or an idea that somebody wanted to put to the SA in private, so again a restricted forum would allow them that privacy.

I am all for tranparancy of the SA so we will be looking at all avenues of making the meetings as open as possible. One option could be "livecasting" where the stream is broadcast over the internet, or simply the minutes of the meeting can be added to the a place where everybody has access.

Please do join the Supporters Association there is a lot of support from the fans, and the SA really gives you the opportunity to get your ideas heard and actioned. All the ideas that were raised at the meeting will be built in to the 2011 plan so you can be assured that if you want to see something pushed forward at HTFC we will ensure it is.

Also, now it has been agreed, we will have Jonathan Martin from AFC Telford attending the next meeting to talk about how clubs can be successful in the community. It will give everyone a good boost to hear how successful these sort of Associations can really benefit the football at clubs at our level and above.

Thanks for the response Mark - your comments make sense. I will join up if we ever thaw out and get a game on!
